I'd like to fill up the forum topic images, what kind should I be looking for, clearly they are small so I do I need to focus on favicons or something? Anyone know of a good, large repository for images that are the right size and look cool and have a web 2.0 look/feel?

This is a question about the file attachment array variable. I want to capture the array variables for file uploads, because I want to add an HTML5 mp3 player for mp3s, and a pdf viewer for PDFS to forum topics. So I've created my own Class file in System/Custom/Custom.php. It seems that I can successfully pass the $title and $url variables from the attachedFile template, into my custom function like so: {expression="\IPS\Custom::MP3Player($title, $url)"} But the issue is I have to figure out when the loop terminates. Hi, I have noticed that reputation/follow/like does not seem to be working on the site. I have tried disabling and re enabling the reputation but nothing seems to help. my version is 4.1.10 on PHP 5.4. does anyone know why this is happening or have any suggestions ? Please advice ?Thank you.

Not sure what's going on . . . every time I go to the forum view of my website, I click on the blocks manager to the left but I can't add a block to the sidebar. As a matter of fact, the sidebar is no longer even showing and I have no idea why or when it disappeared. Is there an option to turn off the sidebar because I had blocks showing them before the last update and now my sidebar isn't showing and I can't add blocks to it. Thanks!

I see that Members can add a Location in Account Settings/Profile. Is there any way to have that Location show up under their Avatar along with Member Group on their Replies/Posts and not just on their Profiles? I see there are AdminCP Location settings but I cant seem to figure out if thats an option. This was a feature on my old board before a Conversion and is missed.

Is there a way to add photos next to each topic in a topic list in a forum? See this image to see what I mean. What I would like is somne way to display an image from the first post in the topic, even narrow it down to it automatically displaying the first photo from the topic. So the first photo posted in each topic would display at the end of the green arrows above. So topic 1 would display the first photo from topic one, Topic 2 would display the first photo from Topic 2 etc. Not sure if this is even possible, but would be great if there is a way to do it. So I'm setting up social login handlers. So I just upgraded to the newest version (4.1.11.1) and now people are getting this error when accessing articles. A refresh fixes it but I'd much rather people just not get an error when going to an article. Hi there, I self host my forum on a VPS Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2660 0 @ 2.20GHz 32 core(s) with 1Gb of RAM. My forum db is 57Mb, and I only have 565 members. All my images are stored on Amazon S3 http://www.militariacollectors.network Tonight MySQL was killed a few times due to out of memory. My host support gave me the following info: but they said that everything seemed optimized, all ok, but I should upgrade my server with more memory. They then came back with: What could cause this? I thought my small forum would be ok with 1Gb of RAM? Are there any plugins or apps that could be causing issues with memory???

Hi, I am currently working on an upgrade from 3.4 to 4.x. Sadly I am stuck right in the beginning due to Nexus. The server currently runs PHP 5.4 because this is the latest PHP version Nexus support. The get-ready-for-ipb4 tool wants me to update to PHP 5.5, before I can update to IPB 4.x. But there is no 3.4 Nexus version for PHP 5.5. So I am stuck as I can't get ready. Is there any solution to this problem?

How can I prevent certain member groups from being able to edit the Member Title on their profile page? The only option I have found is to disable member edit profile but that is a global setting. Then the member will not be able to edit any other info on their profile. Is their a way to ONLY disable the ability for members to edit their Member Title? TIA

HUGE issue with this latest upgrade that should be a snap. The upgrader is timing out like it cannot reach my site. More like it is on the Invision end as I have much power in my server right now. "Please wait while we transfer you" seems to be the norm and it is taking FOREVER. This has never happened with ANY of the previous upgrades. Not even close.

Hi, I just created a database relationship field for an example db. I marked it as "required" but if you enter an invalid entry which isn't part of the related db or just leave the field blank the entry is also being stored. From my point of view this doesn't make sense. "Required" means required. Is this a bug or a feature?

Hello, I'm running into FILE_DOES_NOT_EXIST error on photo crop, while editing profile avatar (?do=cropPhoto action). All previous pre-crop steps work without errors, new pre-cropped files are present under uploads dir, error happens after final save. (v4.1.11)

After upgrading our 3.4 installation to 4.1, file attachments to posts return a "page cannot be displayed" error. The old "uploads" directory was copied into the fresh 4.1 install folder before running the upgrade. All background tasks have run a couple of times with no effect on this problem. Does anyone have any thoughts?
