A great new feature of IPS4 Pages application would be automatic assignment of twitter card. https://dev.twitter.com/cards/types/summary-large-image Ideally it would use the feature image from the article. Hi, I'm trying to learn how to use blogs & I am running into an issue with RSS Feed Imports. When I try & load an RSS feed URL I continue to get "! That is not a valid RSS or Atom feed." I checked with http://validator.w3.org/ for http://tia.sagepub.com/rss/current.xml & got Congratulations! So I am not sure why when I try & use it for a blog I keep getting an error code. As far as I can tell I've enabled all permissions for using RSS Imports/Exports. I just can't find any good documentation outlaying the procedure for blogs. Any help would be grateful. Thank You,

Hello, Over the weekend I have tried to upgrade from v3 to v4, and long story short the UTF8 conversion overwhelmed the 1&1 hosting database size causing upgrade errors. So I moved my domain from 1&1 hosting (where it had a SSL) to a new host. The upgrade went fine on the new host until the DNS settings kicked in and now I get SSL certificate errors when trying to access secure areas of the site, meaning I can't login anywhere. I changed my config file to remove the https and change to http. I cancelled the SSL certificate with 1&1 (although no idea how long that takes). I still can't access the ACP. My forum is over 10 year old with in excess of 3.5 million posts, would people recommend the archive system or not. I have been using it but it becomes a nightmare when you want to change forums, or move posts..a real pain...but is the performance from having separate tables worth it?

Hey there, I've just installed a fresh IPB install on my server but users are having trouble creating accounts on the website. They get the following error: "Sorry, there is a problem You are not permitted to register a user account with this site. Error code: 2S129/1" I have asked members to use different emails and nicknames but nothing worked so far. Registration is enabled. So that is not a factor. Thanks for your time, and help!

I'am currently unarchiving topics, the scheduler is setup to process the task every minute now, it has been doing this for the last 24 hours and counting. Question being can I increase the number of topics unarchived. Hello, I would like to have the widget or Block "chatbox" displayed on all pages and newly created topics. Before with the "ShoutBox" you had the option ... display on top of all pages .... boom it worked ! Now there is no more such option, you have to drag the block or widget on the desired pages ... this is not an option if you have like 1000 topics/forums or more. Is there a "code" you can use to have it displayed like you had this option with the shoutbox ? I'm talking about the shoutbox but this is for every plugin that uses the new widget thingy drag-drop

I currently run on a windows 2008R2 server, using Apache as the webserver. When I goto the piping section of commerce I get the "File not executable", but it is not a permissions issue as Apache is running as 'System' and system also has full perms over that file. I have noticed on line1 there is a shebang and from what I understand windows isn't too keen on those. I would personally love to use piping instead of POP because of it being cleaner and is quicker to make a ticket this way.

I have changed my IPS install from "/forum" folder to public html. But I just realized that the URLs of ALL of my topics are "domain.com/forum/topic" and now they are "domain.com/forums/topic". The big problem is: the old URL gives a ERROR 404 page, does not redirect to the new URL format. It will destroy my SEO. How to set Forum APP to use the word "forum" in the URL instead of "forums". Thanks!

So I have noticed that the 'Queue' Task locks up frequently and gives me a ACP banner bugging me of such lol ; I can unlock it and run myself and it goes away typically. or clicking on the run manually under background tasks. But will come back again. This week alone i have done this about 3-5 times, but when I view errors for this task, there are none. it just locks randomly requiring me to click on it. any ideas?

I currently have an issue with importing feeds. I'll add the feed url and set a forum for the feed to post into as per the usual in the ACP. For the first few days everything operates normally but then things go haywire. Instead of properly posting a topic from the feed once the same topic gets posted multiple times. So instead of seeing this: Topic 1 Topic 2 I see this Topic 1 Topic 1 Topic 1 Now if you click on it it also generates an error stating that the content can't be found. Pits frustrating to have things working to only discover it's gone off the rails days later so any help or ideas would be appreciated. …

Hi, By following this guide I have made a custom CodeMirror file with support for VB. When typing the VB code in the CodeMirror window everything looks good. But when I submit the code to the post in ISP it gets rendered like this: Anyone know whats wrong here? PS: I also added support for LUA and that one is rendering fine.

Hi! Recently upgraded to Community Suite 4 and I am very happy with it. Nice work! I got a couple of questions about the gallery. - Are there less settings in this version? I want to have the "old layout" with just cover photos of my albums on the main gallery page. Now the cover photos are to the left and right of them a bunch of small thumbnails. I just want to see albums only on the main page :-) http://www.jeepsweden.net/index.php?/gallery/ - "rebuild images", will this affect the original image in any way? I have activated the "calendar block" on my forum, it pulls 5 upcoming events from my calendar. But for some reason it can only be viewed when logged in. Guests can't see any events in the block. I have checked permissions settings for the guest group. I also looked at the settings for the block, not much to change there. Please help :-)

I'm running IPB3 still but need to remove some forums with archived posts in, I get an error saying I cannot do this as it contains archived post...apart from going through hundreds of topics manually is there a way to do this.... please tell IPB4 has sorted this issue.

Hi Everyone, I'd like to add a 3rd party login option to our IPS site, kind of a single sign on type thing. The application that we use offers the login support, but it uses SAML for authentication. I've been looking around the admin on IPS, but it doesn't look like it's an existing option. Is it even possible to use SAML on an IPS site? If it is possible, then how would I go about implementing it? Basically any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
