Hi, Just upgraded from 3.4 to 4.1 and I have noticed that guests can now view members profiles, maybe I haven't looked hard enough, but I cannot find a way to change the profile permissions for each group. Is there a way to change this?

Where at within the AdminCP can I add/change/create the description for the website when you use a search engine? Currently it seems to be pulling info from one of my blocks on the main page - I don't want this as my search engine website description so I would really like to change it ASAP. Also when searching the terms "ohio cannabis" & "ohio marijuana" I seem to be getting first page results using the search engine DuckDuckGo - which is supposed to pull all their searches from google, but when I try to search google for the same term - ohio cannabis or ohio marijuana - my site isn't even on the first 10 pages! When opting to repeat events it would be nice to be able to do it how 90% of repeat events actually are - i.e. every 3rd Monday or every 1st Tuesday Events rarely happen on the same date each month as these are different days of the week.

Hi all, my website has disappeared from Google overnight. :-( (10 years of being at the top with my PHP bb site) Its asking me to verify my new site by adding code to the <head> of the site. Hi Everyone, I'm very new to IPB, ohaving only used joomla and wordpress in the past. I have configured my pages app to display featured articles, but there is a youtube video in the article which does not display. (you have to click the Read more link). An odd thing happened with my forum during my vacation. I came back from vacation and now I cannot log in as Admin and many of my users are reporting that they cannot log in as well (although some still can). When I try to log in as Admin, here's the error that's given: http://screencast.com/t/OvJGwrYX The login fails and I do not have access to the Control Panel. What can I do in this case? There were no updates made during my vacation. Before my vacation, everything was working perfectly. It was only 1 week ago that things worked fine. Was I hacked?

I'm trying to create a custom page with PHP code using IP.Content. What I've discovered so far is that the IP.Content pages will not parse PHP code directly in the page - only HTML and instead I have to create blocks with the PHP code and then include these blocks inside the page code. However another issue appears there, where the blocks of PHP code I embed do not seem to "see" the $_GET or $_POST variables, which is something I need. Surely there must be another way of doing this aside from developing a custom application? Does anyone know how?

Hi, i wanted to give a 3-day peek of my premium membership to my users. After three days, users should be moved back to the normal "member" group. I've set a product for that, but i have a problem with it. I have set the renewall to happen after 3 days to limit the timespan of the product. The problem is that users then get an email saying that an invoice was generated for them. This wasn't supposed to be like that: 3 days and then it would end, no renewal. The problem is: if i don't set a renewal, users will be on the "premium" group forever, which is not what i want. How can i do this in Commerce?

Changing DisplayName to Username

Is it possible to edit Display Name title to Username Title so it will show in the entire forum when people interact with login/registration and so on the word "Username" instead of "Display Name" as its written now.

I have just about finished repopulating my Converted Board and am ready to open the Board to Guests and open Registration for new Members. I have found where you can enable Guests to view and to register. I havent been abke to locate in AdminCP on how I can set new registrations be authorized by me/Admin before being allowed to Post etc.?

Hi all, I have set up our new site with the help of IPS and my UK web guys (who are now retired) The site is looking and behaving exactly as I had imagined and I am in a very happy place :-) AMAZING SOFTWARE!... however.....
