Hello folks, I've been trying to figure this one out for about 12 hours now. We decided to go ahead and upgrade from 3.4 to 4.1 and I started that process last night. First, I took full back ups of everything and then I continued with the upgrade instructions in the documentation. Everything was going perfectly fine without a hitch until I ran into a message that a SQL query should be manually run because of the size of the specific table. That was done successfully, but doing so took so long that the security token expired and it prompted me to log back in. When I try to log back in now, I get a message that says: "You do not have permission to run the upgrader." …

So I would like a way to feature articles & blogs that people write for the website. I want them to write/post them under their profile, but I will feature them on the website vs having them give me the article & I post it under the main website login. I know there is a block that creates an article & blog feed, but I wanted to something a little nicer/fancier for featured articles/blogs with some pictures, small description & link vs just a basic link like the article & blog feeds blocks produce - which I use, but again trying to for something better and more visual. I can't seem to figure out how to center youtube embeds, or perhaps even align (float them) next to a paragraph. It simply embeds it and it's stuck in that place. Which on bigger screens leaves a lot of gap to the right since it's basically left-aligned.

My contact and copyright details are in my footer, so I was just wondering if it was possible to move them to the breadcrumb area? Ignore the fact it's a dark font on a dark background. I'd just like to tidy up the footer area.... any thoughts?

Hi, I'm on the latest version and when my users insert an image in the forum and tries to insert it again (before they post) it cant be deleted. The same applies when trying to remove a name that is written aften an @. Any work around? This is a mobile issue. Stig

Hi, I have mysql 5.5 installed. Unfortunately that's the latest release my provider can provide. mysql 5.5 already provides innodb except for the search index tables. Now I tried to switch the mysql engine from myisam to innodb using phpmyadmin. Everything worked fine and the conversion process finished successfully. BUT after the conversion some big tables (like topics, posts) had around 10% less entries than before. Why that??? I tried this on 2 different ipb installations, with two different servers (and different phpmyadmin versions). One of it already had mysql 5.6 (xampp offline) installed. Same problem! I am attempting to create a featured topic block that includes the first image in the topic, and below that a snippet of the text in the original post. I have the text portion figured out but I have run into a snag finding and getting the first image in the post, seems it cannot resolve images using the Image Proxy? Right now I get a notification to say that "somebody" liked a post of mine. So I click on the notification to go to the post: It tells me one person liked, but doesn't say who and theres no link to check?

I'm trying to set it up to have all my attachments on S3. It doesn't work for me, and support won't help me. They say I need to contact Amazon. Amazon don't give tech support on their standard package. I've setup a bucket, setup the access key and secret key and it doesn't work. I get broken links for the images and the logs are full of errors. Cant move file, can't delete file, but it ended up deleting all the uploads form my server. Invision support told me to add extra permissions, but when I do this it gives errors. The whole thing is double dutch to me and wish I'd never started this. Any words of wisdom? Is there any where you can suspend a member from posting for a period .... We have a few high rate member that every now and then go off the rails and on the old firmware we would stop them from posting for a period of time. Can this be done with the new firmware and is there a application or plugin we can install that will allow a mod to use..? Thanks

Fatal error: Class 'IPS\Xml\XMLReader' not found in /applications/core/modules/setup/upgrade/applications.php on line 92 Trying to upgrade to latest ipb4 update, uploaded all the files manually through ftp, continued upgrade and when logging in get this error. It would seem logical there should be a "Follow" button on a users profile, but it's not there, and if it's possible to add or change what appears, I can't seem to find it anywhere. Is anyone aware of a hack to shoehorn a button into the hover cards? See attachment.

Hi, Here is my problem. I created an exact clone of my install for debugging purposes on a different URL, and now this second test install is sending out emails to all users, so users get all notifications twice, one from the official install and another from the test install. I am wondering how I could prevent this from happening. Maybe there is an SQL query that I could run? Or maybe I could set the default for notifications to not include email notifications and run a tool to set all users to this new default? The main issue is with digests and email notifications for topics and forums. I wanted to simply wipe out these, but I don't know how/where. …

I am unsure why, but when users visit my website as guests (http://mutualmemoir.com/) they are redirected to a forum (Site News) automatically. All plugins/apps are turned off-- hence the appearance of my site right now. Is there a setting that could be doing this? Once guests log in, they can view the index. Thank you in advance for your help!
