I see in the guides that I can make pages, and it makes it sound like it is supposed to be right in the admin where I can see it.... but I don't. Is this a standard feature or another suite feature?

Is there a way to replace the stars icon on a new/old post on 4.1? I have a theme by ips focus and everytime I try to change the icon to something else, it doesn't go. Even if I stick with a font awesome icon, it won't remove the stars. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey, IPS Community, Pretty much I've been spending lots of time figuring this out but, unforrunately nothing came through. So the issue is, I can get the Group Glow/customization working but cannot get my name (displayname) to correspond with group color. Good morning! Just a quick question this time around from someone who just upgraded to 4.x last week. Every now and again, we see double bars in our browser tab (attached below) next to the favicon on our forum directory. If someone could let me know what those are for, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm guessing it has something to do with there being new topics or posts since we last looked at that browser tab, but I'd like to know for sure. Thanks!

Hi The Theme system only gives you 6 Areas to place custom blocks. As far as I could find out it is not possible to add extra block areas. Unfortunatley for my frontpage theme I would need more. Is there a way to make a block stay next to each other in the footer area using the vertical theme instead of the horizontal theme? Essential I want 3 Blocks next to each other in the footer area?

I am wondering is there a setting somewhere that makes it so that users who have read a thread and then go and visit it because there was a reply gets taken to the last message they read or to the newest message in the thread. Like kind of remembering where they last read too. It only take me to the top of threads no mater if I have read it or not.

Hi guys - hopefully this is a quick answer, however I've not found it in search simply because so many people complain about statistics in general....I don't want to weigh in on that.... So anyway. I have a block which I am using to push code onto a page encouraging registration. "Register now, you will be member X" where X is member {number="$stats['member_count']"} plus one. The thing is, that only seems to work in a block set up for member statistics, which this one is not. Can that value be pulled independently?

So here is the steps- maybe someone can reproduce? Use default icons no uploaded files - everything is fine Upload "testbackground.png" @ 50B, unread/read icons and save - everything is fine Delete uploaded icons and save - everything is fine Go back to the forum icons to tweak something, 0B images are there, click delete and save - breaks icons (breaks them even if you don't delete them again) Go back to forum icons a second time and delete the 0B images and save - everything is fine but spits out a 404 error on the image when inspecting page *And they never delete, if I upload a new icon and then delete it, it produces the same result of 0B placeholder…

The option for internal links to embed (ie posting a link to a gallery or download file in a forum post) has stopped working on my site. I just get a normal txt link without the embed and option to display as link instead. acp > system > posting > automatically embed links? ... Is turned on, so are there any other setting that control this that might have been turned off please?

So I'm just styling my board and I came across some weird styling. As you can see the first forum description is correct. It's a light grey but for some reason IPS is styling the second forum description darker. It's generating some inline styling via javascript. How do I over-write that?

When users use the "report" function on the forum, the admin gets sent an email notification. But I don't see where this email address is set in the settings. Can someone please tell me how to change that email? It seems different from the main admin email.

I'm having issue to import Calendar from my community to my Google Calendar. Neither the file or the webcal url work. (It's working perfectly on thunderbird, and poorly on Outlook since all events are imported the day and hour of import) Is anyone else having issue ? Can somebody provide me a file of custom exported community calendar that is working to import on Google Calendar ? I would like to compare them to mine and check what's wrong with my file. Hello ! Some topics links return an error page with an 2T187/2 error code : Here is an example of a link which doesn't work : http://mywebsite.com/topic/43166-emploi-du-temps-cp-avec-utilisation-dermel/ How can I find out what is going wrong ? I looked inside the database tables and I saw the topic and the posts as well as their content do exist. Is there a solution ? Thank you.

Basically what I was thinking of doing is lets say you have a custom field but you want to use that custom field inside an image as an alt name. What's the proper code? something along the lines of field_ID or something?

When I insert a record feed block, nothing appears, no matter what settings I have in the Edit Block Settings options, nothing shows up and I just have the "This block cannot be shown" error. What could possibly be going on?

One of our users informed us that he is getting hundreds of password recovery emails, that he did not ask for. I guess this means that someone is (stupidly) trying to "hack" into his account..? or maybe just trying to flood his email account for "fun"? Anyway, is there a way to limit the amount of password recoveries a user can ask for? thanks

Could someone tell me where I can find the HTML code for the ipsWidget_vertical ipsBox block? This appears in the side bar of the Forum area of our site and I need to change a setting to make sure it pulls through only the previews from the community on which its being used (the site is a replication of another one we built and currently all the Forum Topics are being pulled through from the original site, if that makes sense). I'm guessing its somewhere in Page Management>Templates but I'm struggling to locate it.

I have had a 3.4 forum for almost 2 years now and I am in the process of upgrading to 4.1 and a serious problem has apparently come to light. It seems that anyone using a Verizon phone service (be it an iPhone or an android) is having VERY slow response time (even times out) from our 3.4 forum as well as on the newer 4.1.13 test site. When connecting via wifi - no problem. People using AT&T, no problem. I am at a loss for understanding what the issue might be. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea what might be wrong? I suspect Verizon but.....

When I click in pencil, I got a text box to edit the stream title! That's all? So if I want to add/remove containers, for example, I should delete this stream and create a new one?
