Hi, not sure if there's a setting for this in IPS4 but if so, I haven't found. So, is there a way to prevent members from uploading photos to the Gallery if they don't have an album? (Basically I'd like to force them to create an album first). Thanks.

Hello, I have set up a kind of SSO on my website, based on IPS 3.4 users. If a user is authenticated on IPS, he can browse some other areas. Everything changed with IPS 4, and fed up of trying to understand how IPS Connect works to make it working, I am almost ready to redesign the SSO from scracth with a LDAP directory or external database. I'd like to know how IPS interacts with LDAP or external DB. How the groups are managed in IPS, are they read from the external source ? Is an user created automatically into IPS when an authenticated user goes to the forums ? Can I prevent an authenticated user to browse the forums, based on his group ? …

Hello, When I clik on the Sign-In button, the popup appears. After filling login and password and clicking Sign-In, the popup remains displayed. If I refresh the page, I am correctly logged in. Same behavior with Log Out... It seems the page doesn't refresh anymore. I can't see any error in the log files.

Has anyone had any success in creating a form? ideally I could create forms on my site that would replace our manual/paper forms. so it would include regular text and people would fill out fields, click on date drop downs (able to select multiple dates), drop down selection, check marks, relational (rely on a previous answer to provide more selections and the doozy is able to insert a picture taken on your phone or iPad. Once populated, save the data so you could pull it up, search it, print it. any chance this is possible?

Hi, Our Forum is still not live - trying to work it out first. Just upgraded to v4. Couldn't find it in v3 can't find it in v4. Have registrations set to Admin has to approve first (no validation email to new member). So what I want to do is change the wording to the automated email when you approve a member in CPanel. At the moment it reads: "Your registration request has been approved at {forum}. You can now sign in with the password you chose when signing up." I've tried googling, searching the forum but either there isn't or I'm not wording my search correctly but it's doing my head in. Is there a way to change the wording on approval/rejection emails? Hello, I'm trying my newbie hand at creating a very simple IPB theme - really just changing colours - and I can't find some things. For example, when I copy this into my custom.css file to edit it: .ipsType_sectionTitle { font-size: 15px; font-weight: 400; padding: 11px 15px 11px 15px; margin-top: 0; background: {theme="section_title"}; color: {theme="section_title_font"}; border-radius: 2px 2px 0px 0px; } I can't seem to find the themes section_title and section_title_font to edit. Hi, Image are very important on my forum (it is about coins collecting). Most of my user are posting images like this one : So I would be very interested by a rotate clockwiste or counter clockwise function. A rotation with the help of the mouse, because a rotation like 90° or 180° doesn't not fit. I tried this plugin : http://ckeditor.com/addon/imagerotate But I can't make it working Is somebody using a plugin or a solution to do that ? I would pay for it if needed.

Lately I've found out that the pages showing up on google when searching my domain is very less. Basically what comes up is home and registration. Could this be the outcome of a non organized forum? The homepage is not forum and therefore you have to go to forum via other buttons. I've posted an example here. You see that they first have to go to News, and then click on forum when they are in the category Home>Forums>Business & News in order to get to forums. I don't really want a overall forum that's why i have it like this. Does this makes it hard for google robots to crawl the site? That they don't have a Home/forums>category - to follow? …

Hi, I am using IPS 4.1.17.1. I have ads in two places: `ad_sidebar` and `ad_topic_view`. But I would like to disable these ads in forum node 27. I came across the ads removal code in certain forum nodes @thompsone provided here. I tried modifying and implementing the code to my `ad_sidebar` and `ad_topic_view` myself but I don't seem to get it working. I want to show a feed block only for some forum categories. So I created a new block : Type Plugin, and with a FEED On the content block, I can choose "Use as a base for a custom template" Then I see the code for the block. I uploaded 70 images in an album with user name 1 U want to change the author all images to username 2............ I edited the album and changed the owner > It still shows individual images by user name 1 .. though album owner is shown as username 2 There is no option to change image author by select all.... though individually editing the same can be done..... I'm trying to implement a button across all gallery images (we only have one main album), that would essentially act as a 'YouTube subscribe' button. So that when users are on an image/video page, they see a button with language along the lines of 'Follow for more videos', but that's not the important part.
