Yo! I read the Pages tutorials, and I'm gonna read them again, but I have very little practical experience in web design/development and I was hoping for some advice. I'm setting up a roleplay forum.. I have a database for character profiles, that members can submit an entry to. What I'd like to do is set up some sort of form that applies an HTML template that formats the character sheet. The basic idea is that I would have fields for things like class, race, magic spells, stuff like that - and in the text editor, the member would fill these fields out. Once they press the Submit button, HTML/CSS magic kick in, and the entry is formatted to resemble a typical D&D…

Hi, We'd like to, when a post is reported, to show in the post (only to moderators and administrators, of course) that it was already reported, with a link to the report. Is there a way to configure IPS to do that, or do you guys know if there is a plugin that does that? Thank you in advance, Gabriel.

OK so I want to start off my Blog correctly. I love the style and layout of IPS' own "blog" but as I go to replicate something similar I am reading that it actually doesn't even use their own Blog application. Is this a little disheartening for anyone? I had hoped that I could use the Blog app to achieve a similar result. I'm running IPB 4.2.6. My board is connected with several other online resources. When users signup for my board is a typical reason is that they came from one of my other ventures (mostly e-commerce opt-in type things). I'd like to integrate all of my other users together with my board users at least for my email updates and such, which I can't do. (I use a thing called Klaviyo to manage newsletter updates and such which as far as I know doesn't integrate with IPB so I have most of my users in one place and then the rest in another and its a pain in the rear now after years of the user base gets larger and larger). Hello, I wonder if there is a way, or potentially a plugin, to make the comission for Paid Download more individual? Like have 10% Comission for Category A and 20% for Category B, which User A has to pay no comission at all for like 3 month or so? Best Marian

I've renewed a license for v4, for a community that is 3.4.6, and had gallery. The gallery is not used much so I've only purchased license for the forum. During the upgrade process, I get errors that the files under webroot/applications/gallery are missing. How do I disable / remove the gallery component so that I can upgrade only the forums? Hello I am using the latest IPs (4.1.15) I am trying to enable syntax highlighting I have downloaded Code Snippet plugin and used "Add Button" to add its button to the toolbar. However, the code does not show any syntax highlighting no matter what language I choose. I also notice that when I edit the post having the code, the language field in the codesnippet returns to none or not specified. Any Help? Thanks

I have a password protected forum. It seems if I sign in on one device, I am signed out of that forum for all other devices. I am not signed out of the site, just the individual forum. Is this expected behaviour?

Okay. This is going to seem weird. I am unable to put descriptions in forums or in any other item on my site. I have attached images below. This is a fresh install. I have never seen anything like this before. It is forcing me to choose a file instead of allowing me to input text. So I went to the Post settings and disabled attachments. I still am unable to post however, it still is forcing me to choose a file even though I have media disabled.

I started a new site and these folks really prefer to use the blogs over the forums. There aren't a lot of controls fro the blogs. Can "Contributors to this Blog" be hidden? It really makes it messy looking. Over time this will take up a lot of space.

Hi all, tried via ticket support but can't have an answer yet Anybody can help us to find why we obtained an error 500 when we try to import attachment from vBulletin 4. 2 ? It performed 12838 attachments but we have 124802 attachment in total. When we restart the conversion we obtain an error 500 : http://snap.ashampoo.com/wBscCVDY I say restart cause after first time error we restarted the import and obtained the same result immediately Where can i check log for import ? Is it possible to have the forums automatically jump to the latest post in a discussion instead of showing the first post? I have been getting complaints about this from my users. It always starts them at the top of the discussion instead of sending them to the last page/post in the forums.
