Hi All, I think we can Archive old topics through ACP > Community > Forums > Archive But can you please throw more light on what Archiving does exactly ? 1) Does Archiving change URL structure of topics (for eg, making them .html) or it simply moves the topics to separated Archive table ? 2) Archived topics will display or not when we view the forum section of those topics ? 3) Can the Archived topics be Unarchived again by Root Admin ? 4) Can the Archived topics be edited/deleted by Root Admin ? 5) Can people access Archived topics through Google search ? 6) Will Archiving old topics improve forum speed ? 7) Any other…

Hello . Can I still count on help in the old version? This is 3.3.4 version. I have a problem that when I go to the page with comments, I get an error HTTP ERROR 500. I checked logs and I gets error : PHP Fatal error: Method user_popup does not exist in viewAvatarsHook_userInfoPane in /home/www/prod.aud iostereo.pl/www/admin/sources/classes/output/publicOutput.php on line 3766 . All of a sudden, my website has begun throwing this error every time one tries to post a new article and/or topic. The odd thing is that the article/topic still posts without an issue. After a while, the browser will go to the white screen displaying the Gateway Timeout 504 error display but if you go to the website, you will notice the article/post was created without a problem. I have rebooted my server, set my max_execution_time to 300 but the problem continues. Any ideas?

1. I have an "Articles" forum and a "Front Page" for articles. When I post an article to the Front Page, it also posts a duplicate to the Articles forum which is what I want to happen. But if someone posts a comment/reply to the Front Page version of the article that comment does not appear on the forum copy and vice versa. Is there a native software way to make comments sync (reproduce/duplicate themselves) so they appear in both locations? 2. Sometimes when I view the online users list, one or a few of the IP addresses appear clickable yet when I click them nothing happens. Why do some of them sometimes appear like links?

Hi there everyone, Is anyone using an embedded Discord widget combined with an IPS login bridge as a chat room option for members? How is it working for your community? Advantages / disadvantages? My main concern is that it will take traffic away from my site. If you could share your website so I can see this in the flesh that would be brilliant Otherwise, any suggestions would be awesome. I have tried a few different chat systems, Babble is working best so far.

Paypal now requires TLS1.2, we can force and test TLS1.2 on the server but the Paypal payment gateway always reverts to an older version. This means we can no longer take Paypal payments. Does anyone know how to force tls1.2 through the Paypal payment gateway? Thank You

I only want to embed 4 images in a post, but I want to attache about 10. I've only manually included 4 images directly in the post, but everytime I save, all of the other attachments are embedded at the bottom of the content. Is there a way to change that behaviour, so they only appear as thumbnails/attachments?

I'm in the process of upgrading IPS3.4 to v4. In 3.4, in a Pages database, I used the [sharedmedia] tag a lot, mainly connecting with IP.Gallery, but also with some custom implementations. After the v4 upgrade, none of these tags are parsed (they just show as eg. "[sharedmedia=gallery:images:52702]"). So my question is – is there a way for me to implement custom BBcode in a Pages v4 field, so that all of my old articles can display correctly? Thanks!

I'm having a real issue with the board being slow to post messages when using SMTP on the local server. There are no issues with sending email regularly, but IPB seems to grind. I've narrowed it down to the SMTP issue as using SendGrid API results in immediate posting. Is there a difference in the way IPB processes an SMTP transaction vs. something like SendGrid or Mandrill API? (I had this issue before and used Mandrill to resolve until they switched their support model).

Hey, After upgrading from IPS3.4 to 4, all of the articles on my site look like this: If I edit the article and save it without changing anything, it processes the BBcode: But this will take ages to do manually for thousands of articles. Is there a way to do this automatically? Thanks.

Sorry I first posted it in a wrong area. Pages -> Page Managment -> Blocks - Plugins I want to show forum content on an external page using the "external embed" function. There is a choice of permission which is not clear enough for me. How the permission are used. Is the content which is generated in dependence of the user who is reading the feed and his role? What happens if I choose "guest" or "moderator" or "Admin" as a permission. Is the content postet regardless of the user who reads the feed? Or is the feed posted because of the user who will read this on an external page. I tri…
