Hi, could someone explain how to drop an email template into bulk mail please? I stupidly assumed it would be as easy as making up a template in an online builder and dropping the html into the editor, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Hey there, I have a small question about the URL the main logo points to. In the template "logo" href attribute is set with {setting="base_url"}. I now want to change that link within some (or all) applications to link back to that app and not to the root path/ default app. So if I'm in the forum I want to get /forum, in the gallery /gallery and e.g. in the calendar the link should be /calendar (the blog application is our default app). Is there any way to do this with stock IPS features or would this require some coding? Thanks in advance for any help Phil

Hello, since our upgrade to 4.4 we have a weird issue regarding the unread forum marker, i.e. icon: When a topic is moved leaving "a link to the new location", the target forum is marked as unread on forumhome even if the topic is read and marked correctly on a forum level. Have a look: The forum "Testing" is unread, despite the Topic "Test Beitrag verschieben 9" is already read. The forum "Testing", all read The forum from where the topic was moved leaving a link. i am using a vanilla install of 4.4.3 and this does not seem right to me (i am not native english speaker) the topic was made by ic0ffee and pacuang replied to it, so shouldn't the text say pacuang replied to iC0ffee's topic?

I have an issue when using Calendar on my development. After submitting events my installation is not reachable anymore: Neither ACP, nor the site can be used because of this error. I use WAMP on localhost and have no difficulties on my Linux test server. Is there something that I can configure for WAMP to get rid of the error?

Hello folks, there are some posts on my website with a ton of links in them, and I mean several hundred in a single post. This has always been a dicey proposition (I've been with Invision since 2005) - in the past, once a post got beyond a certain size, or certain number of links (I never found out which it was), hitting "Save" produced something of a catastrophic result. Now that the old edits of posts are saved, this is no longer a significant risk. What am I missing here ? I never cared about this h2, h3 thing til I started to deal with blogs in different communities. Now a few bloggers have asked me the ability to add h2 and h3 titles in the editor, but I can't find the option, unless I grant them html privileges in the editor? Is this something we have all forgotten? Even wordpress has the option to insert a h3 line and others, in the editor. I don't think the website could be vulnerable if we allow users to use those tags, right?

I'd like to have a bit of control over the width of the sidebar. I find that there disproportionately large – especially if you are in a fixed width. I've looked around but they don't seem to be any plug-ins that can do this. I can imagine that it could be a question of tweaking the code. Anyone got any idea about this please?

I upgraded yesterday to 4.3.1 and i installed elasticsearch in an external server with a ping of only 5ms to my live server. My users noticed that it was taking 1 or 2 seconds to submit every post they made. Then i changed back to mysql and they were correct that it was slower. Now its simple instant, i press submit reply and the post appears right away. My question is, how can Elasticsearch slowdown the post? The board only shows the post after it was also sent to Elasticsearch? I'm going to install Elasticsearch on localhost to check if the problem its in the fact of me using an external server for elasticsearch.

Hey there, is it possible to use PHP within the pages application or is there any 3rd party plugin / application that would allow to use PHP in specific pages? Hello, We like to introduce clubs to our forum. But we notes some difficulties by making it exactly right for our community. first we like to put it on the front page, to make it more visible for the customer. Hi, I use memberpress and your forum. If the user changes the name and surname of the memberpress account page he does not see the name changed in the forum. To change it I (the admin) have to be to change the "display name" setting from my wordpress c-panel. Can the users change their display name without asking me? Thank you

Hi Everyone, We are looking to convert to IPB4 from VB4 (And a handful of custom modifications). Questions: I'm doing a test conversion on localhost and notice that IPB does not maintain vbulletin's native thread/post ID's. Since many of our modifications rely on grabbing the thread ID, would it be possible to do a conversion and force IPB to maintain the same thread ID's? Or, would it be possible to create some sort of log that tracks what VB thread ID's were converted to which IPB thread ID's? Hello, community! I have a database with 4 entries. In one of these entries, I wanted to display the content of a custom block I wrote. The block key is "playlist-ceb" but everything I put in the following field is treated as normal HTML text and I just get the text {block="playlist-ceb"} shown in the website. Trying to install plugins. Tried two different ones. Both fail. The site gets redirected to a front-end error page "The page you requested does not exist" Error code: 1S160/2 Both plugins are 4.4 compatible. Thoughts? Hello, I install nginx, it works well for the forum and SEO url redirection. I don't want to die thinking I am crazy. Could someone else please try something in IPS 4.4.3... Go to your AdminCP. Go to your Terms and Privacy Policy section. Type the following phrase into either the 'Site Guidelines' or the 'Privacy Policy'. The phrase is "We select" ("I select" has the same result for me). Do you get a 500? I have been debugging this for an hour. I could not understand why a paste was crashing the page. I finally found the two words that were doing it. Please tell me I'm not crazy! Thanks all 😉 P.S. I've noticed that the links on my ipboard do not have the "rollover" function. For example, in articles the link titles are black and nothing else. It's okay like that? In the Invision Community Forums, the "rollover" function converts them to blue when the mouse passes over them.
