Hello. In Applications in system -> Content discovery I have disabled guest permissions as I want guests to browse the forums and not be able to just view activity or whats new. That's for registered users. I created a custom RSS feed, with new posts on the forums, which also guests could use, but some of the forums I did not include in this RSS feed, like a chitchat forum. This is because this feed is being used to put new posts on Twitter and Facebook. Unfortunately it looks like this rss feed does not get updated. Last posts in the rss feed is from march 6th when I created the custom feed. There were a couple of new posts made after that on the forums…

I am currently parsing YouTube video in Pages using this code: {$record->customFieldDisplayByKey('video_exercicios_youtube')|raw} The database record contains only the YouTube URL, without any parameters. I would like to add these parameters to my videos by editing the Page template, not all the URLs: autoplay=1&playsinline=1 How can I append these parameters to the YouTube URLs editing the Page template?

I recently upgraded from 3.4.9 to 4.4.3, and I love the @Mentions feature, but only myself and my Mods can seem to do it - when users try to do so they sometimes get an "INVALID_URL" message, and cannot post until they remove the @Mention in their posts. Is there a configuration anywhere? I've tried searching the ACP and here to no avail.

In an ideal scenario I’m able to take a chunk of my site and place somewhere else as read-only so the content is preserved for future readers but for my production site in terms of backups and portability (when switching hosts), I’m only worried about migrating the most recent X years of content Has anyone encountered a scenario like that or have any ideas?

On fiddling with my backend (sounds ruder than what it was), I came across this setting, I swear I had it set to 30 minutes, but it was set to 30 weeks which sounds a crazy amount of time to cache those blocks? Does 30 minutes sound about right, or should it really be set to 30 weeks?

A few days ago I had to revert my website to a prior state - after this, the post date on topics and replies has started messing up - see below. The issue seems to manifest itself in the db. While I know how to manually fix it per topic, has anyone else encountered this? Is there a way to fix all future topics?

Hi, this is feature request coming from our moderaters. They say that spam could be reduced if the 1st post of new users has to be moderated so spam accounts would be recognized before their content is online for other members to see. I think this is a good idea, hence my post here. I'm open for suggestions!

Hi there, as of sudden (without us changing anything) the post dates and thread dates disappeard from forums. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/8HNErW5.png see here: https://www.lyriaserver.de/community/forums/forum/4-news-aktuelles-und-ankündigungen/ only a few dates are left which are shown there. This has nothing to do with the theme because it also happens when switching to default theme. Already tried to repair mysql tables, but did not help. Any idea?

I do have a ticket open with a current issue which I have updated with this, but as it's the weekend was wondering if anyone may have come across this and can point me in the right direction of what could be causing this whilst I wait. Basically I moved my site to a new server, since then the time is off as tasks are showing as being run with the time shown as one hour ahead, we have topics scheduled to open and lock which are all over the place right now. WHM Server time is correct. I ran a query on the database to check the timezone, this is also correct

I was wondering if there is a way of setting up the forums or pages so that the original creator of a thread can see it as well as say a group like admin. I've been looking around for a little while, maybe using the wrong terms or just no info on it. Essentially what I want to set up is somewhere for people to create confidential posts to be actioned by admins, like for instance a complaints section, where someone can make a complaint without risk that the person they are complaining about can see the post. I can't see anywhere in the pages app settings or forums settings that will allow the original creator to maintain vision on that post or database entry. …

I am trying to figure out how to pass user variables in URLS that I can link them to. For instance, I would like to be able to create a link that I can send in an email with variables so that if they click, it goes to their profile. I know I can do this in the IPS bulk emailer, but I am using a 3rd party email platform. I tried this, but it didn't work: https://cre8live.com/profile/{member_id}-{member_name} Any ideas? Thanks!

I've already tried once to begin a discussion about ad placement and it has drawn no responses. So I'm trying again from a slightly different tack – how do you fund your website? Do you use Google? Or some other system? If you use Google AdSense, then maybe people would like to share a little bit their experiences and how they've managed to refine it to produce the best results.

Our migration from vBulletin to Invision was a really good move – except our revenue has fallen catastrophically. We have never made particular profits but we have always been able to meet our expenses. At the rate things are going now, we will have difficulty doing that – which is crazy because we are a fairly big forum. I have no idea what's going wrong and I really appreciate a conversation about other people's experience and how I might be able to improve the situation.

Hi all! Our community had a huge archive of content that was originally hosted on LiveJournal. I was able to download the CSV's from LiveJournal, and import those into a wordpress installation. I've now exported the WordPress database for import (via IPS Converters) to our IPS installation. However, when I run the converter, it only converts the first 22 posts (for the record, there are 1484 posts). Any idea what's happening here? Regards, Alex

I don't mean a feed of 1, but a single specific record. I would like to construct the front page with blocks (using Superpages) but I don't want to be constrained to the Record order. I don't want to use the Embed feature, hoping to use a better looking template. Is that possible?

In one of my posts this icon appears at the beginning, and links to an image in the post. When edit does not appear the icon and in HTML code either, but when saving it remains. 😳 For now, it only apear sin one post.

I did. When I upgraded to 4.4.2, this setting (along with many others) got changed. It is no longer set to send you an email, it now shows as a notification in the admin section. You can set it back. I have no idea why that would be changed. I purposefully set it that way, then I upgrade, and it gets turned off. I had dozens of people waiting that I wasn't aware of.

I finally got our forums upgraded to 4.4.3 with help from the excellent team here at Invision, and I am starting to get my head around all the new features and settings. One thing I am struggling to figure out though is while I like the Reactions feature, it seems to be tied to the Reputation feature. Is there any way to have the Reactions but not Reputation? I'd really not have our users engage in a popularity contest (or even a perceived one), but would still like people to react to posted content. Additionally, if the two cannot be independent of one another, is there a way for say Moderators to adjust users' Reputation points? Some users are complaining beca…

Can someone plz!!!!!!!!! link me to the plugin or app that will show the bot count in the online user list/widget it is driving me crazy that i see over 100+ ppl "supposedly" on my site, but Google analytics only shows my actual members and maybe like 20 overall real people back in 2017 there was a plugin that showed this, lol i think it eve showed what bot it actually was
