Howdy, When I mv my admin directory to a random name for security, the URL when entered (such as host.com/asdf1234) takes me back to the old admin URL (such as host.com/admin). There is no .htaccess file, so not sure what is redirecting from the directory name back to the old admin directory. Any thoughts? Thanks, Derek

Evening! Did the latest update put a stop to the forums sending emails to the site address when new member accounts are ready to be validated? I used to get the user's profile in my inbox after they confirmed their email address, but that stopped when we upgraded to 4.3. I can't for the life of me remember where that setting was in the ACP and a search didn't scare it up. If someone could confirm or brain me with a clue-by-four, I'll appreciate it!

Why in the heck does it show a member's avatar when I share a link with friends in Facebook Messenger? if I share stuff on Facebook it shows my logo, but in messenger it adds a members avatar. Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, I was going through the IP's of guests showing on my who's online...I have a ton from Syria, Iran, Brazil, ect. Any idea what that's all about? Also, is there a member list that members can look to see who are members on the site? I know admins can within the ACP, but not seeing anywhere that a regular member can see. thanks in advance.

Hi, on my site I have articles with URL: https://www.mysite.com/articles/category/article and they are crawled again and again by Google saying they are not canonical. Canonical is: https://www.mysite.com/articles/category/article/ (with slash at the end). I have no clue where these links without slashes derive from. Probably from previous versions? But I would like to redirect them to their canonical representation to save Google crawl budget. Are there setting somewhere to display what shows in the activity tab when you click on it? I cannot seem to find any settings or anything that relates to it? Also, I notice it shows when someone changes their profile photo, however, not when someone changes their cover photo. Just trying to make sense of how it all works and determine if there are any settings. Thanks in advance!

Evening! I've got a one-off issue, shown below, that I wonder if anyone has seen and/or fixed before. I have a single member in my forums (Windows 10 64 bit, Chrome) who, when she quotes selections longer than a few sentences or entire posts, ends up with random numbers and massive blank space in the quote field. Staff with all permission levels right up to root admin have tried to edit her comments to remove this blank space, but the "edit" and "moderator actions" links aren't clickable. Hi Folks, I am trying to setup support forum where when a user creates a topic only he can read the reply by the administrator i.e. no other user can read the reply or open the thread. The objective is to avoid a separate ticketing engine. Your advice and guidance may really help.

I have updated from IPS 4.3 to 4.4, after the update the gallery no longer displays the thumbnails if I put the "show as thumbnails", while if I put "show as large previews" or "show as list" they are displayed correctly Is there any way to rebuild the thumbnails?

I'm trying to replicate IPS's approach with their blog. I'm most of the way there but the only problem is that ipsTab_activeItem always stays on the first tab; it doesn't update when a new tab becomes active. Is anyone suddenly getting multiple copies of the emailed digest each day. Yesterday I got no less than 10 separate digest emails (with the same content). And today I got 6. See screenshot of the emails in my inbox. I can only imagine that this is also happening for the members of our forum and really irritating them!

Hey there, I have a small question about the URL the main logo points to. In the template "logo" href attribute is set with {setting="base_url"}. I now want to change that link within some (or all) applications to link back to that app and not to the root path/ default app. So if I'm in the forum I want to get /forum, in the gallery /gallery and e.g. in the calendar the link should be /calendar (the blog application is our default app). Is there any way to do this with stock IPS features or would this require some coding? Thanks in advance for any help Phil

Hello, since our upgrade to 4.4 we have a weird issue regarding the unread forum marker, i.e. icon: When a topic is moved leaving "a link to the new location", the target forum is marked as unread on forumhome even if the topic is read and marked correctly on a forum level. Have a look: The forum "Testing" is unread, despite the Topic "Test Beitrag verschieben 9" is already read. The forum "Testing", all read The forum from where the topic was moved leaving a link.
