Hi for some reason when I create a reply it won't save until I refresh. I will click Submit Reply and it will change to Saving... but will not change from that. I've checked the network tab and the request is just pending, I have waited for up to 5 minutes. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be going on? Or can point me in the right direction to debug this? Update: the requests just take very long to go through but eventually do and the post gets added without a refresh. I just enabled Gliphy on my site and the members seem to like it, But I've gotten a few complaints about the gif cycling constantly that it becomes distracting/ annoying and I can agree with that too. Is there any way to make it so members who do not want to see it don't, or at least limit the number of times a gif will play and then stop?

Hello, just checked the new 4.4 and I'm asking myself why there is still no button to set an account back to pending. Don't you have the problem that some of the old emails don't exist anymore? In this case we get a mail bounce for every mail notification. I know that we have apps in the store but from my point of view this should be a standard feature of a community software. Are there any reasons why IPS doesn't want to include this feature? Best regards

I'd like to use Font Awesome icons for some of the custom profile fields instead of text. I've added fields so users can put their SoundCloud and Discogs URLs, but some are far too long and I've managed to standardize them a bit with a hyperlink: What I'd like to do is replace the "My Discogs" and "My SoundCloud" text hyperlinks with a Font Awesome icon (although SoundCloud was added to FA5, which IPS hasn't implemented yet). I tried putting the Font Awesome HTML code into the custom field formatting, but it's not working (breaks the layout horribly) - would I need to use the unicodes for the FA icons? I’d like my Club owners, leaders, and moderators to automatically get assigned to a specific primary or secondary group. Is this possible? Ideally, when somebody gets promoted to a Club leader or moderator, it will change their group. That way I can better track who has mod rights, and I can also do things like assign them a group badge, etc. Thanks

Good morning! This is a new installation, and I am setting up ldap authentication against AD I start the login process. After I enter the my email address and password, I am prompted to complete my profile (Email Address & agree to the Terms of use), when I enter my email address, I receive an error that my email address is in use. I have verified that the database doesn't contain another member. Ideas?

Hey guys, maybe someone can help me with a small problem I have with new messages. Usually private messages are written in a popup, but we tried to link directly to write a new message with the link for it (/messenger/compose/to?=X). We're using a transparent background within our theme so you cannot read the info text as the white background from the popup window is missing: Is there any possibility to add a new css class or styling to just change the look of this kind of form or is it impossible with the coding as it is? Hello dear IPB users, I have just launched yet another Forum ). And I have a Gallery application. Could you please let me know how to Enable access to Gallery only for registered users? I have set the albums that they can be seen only by registered users, but I don't like how it works, because if I go to Gallery as a guest so I see simply empty page, but I need just a warning that the gallery can be watched by registered users only. Can you help?

I did set up a database called "articles" and different entries are single articles regarding a special topic. I know I can use pagination for the whole database, but can a single entry (one article) be automatically paginated, so that it shows pages 1-10 or so? Or can I only solve this with different database entries?

I need a new embed for my forum, basically I need to examine a link and then make changes to it. I was able to do this fairly easily with 3.4.x inside the ACP, but I don't see any mechanism for doing that now. Is there a guide on how to create a new embed, or some examples demonstrating how to do so? Thank you, ..Al

Hello all, I promise I tried looking for this but wasn't able to find it based on the search terms I came up with. I'm seeking a plugin that'll produce a "heat map" of sorts that shows the following: 1) On the user profiles, a little blurb that says "Favorite Place" for whichever forum or sub-forum they spend most of their time 2) In the admin console, stats for the (sub)Forums to give us an idea of which areas are too heavily used or not at all 3) A publicly visible stats page for the users with less detail than the admin console We're trying to use this to identify areas we could be more efficient in the structure.

I want to ban disposable email domains so users won't register with these. Is it possible to ban multiple domains at once? Adding one-by-one in backend would be tedious work, as there's A LOT of those. Sure I could do that via SQL query but maybe there's another option?

I'm working on a template for a Pages database and would like to customise how the publish date displays. I know I can use {datetime="$row->record_publish_date"} to get the full date but I'd like to be able to produce the day, month and year components separately. I know a little bit about how PHP formats dates but I'm afraid that I don't know how to apply that knowledge in this environment. Could anybody kindly offer some pointers?

Hi, I have performance issues since upgrade to 4.4.4. E. g. adding posts takes up to 60 seconds till it saved. Approving new images as well. I'm not sure if this is a potential bug or something I am doing wrong, but when quoting a post with a spoiler tag, you cannot expand the spoiler tag to see the contents in the editor. Can anybody else confirm this is happening? I notice there is no spoiler button on this editor - does the BBCode still work? If you have a slow internet connection when you are scrolling through image heavy posts, the images load while they are in the the viewport. Lazy Load should load picture *just* outside that view port (e.g. if viewing post X, it should start loading X+1 or 300px outside of viewport or something). This is more inline with what Instagram/facebook does. As a part of the Pages CMS module, you can add filtering on custom fields. This filtering (applications/cms/widgets/DatabaseFilters.php) as setup through the admin panel is limited to select box strings and booleans only. You cannot do anything with numbers and comparison operators (<=, >=, <, >, etc). Is there a way to have the form filter accept a number for filtering? For example, all records have a custom field called "review score". The proposed change would allow the user to enter 8 on the form and the filter would return all records with a value greater than or equal to 8.
