Good evening! I was wondering if there are any plugins or applications for IPB that perform a URL "unfurl" function similar to XenForo's as described in this post; https://xenforo.com/community/threads/unfurling-urls-emoji-enhancements-and-video-uploads.154986/post-1289239 I'm aware of External Links Rich Embed from the Marketplace, but I was wondering if there is a more "elegant" solution available. It doesn't look like the "log in anonymously" option is still even available at log in, and I haven't seen it there for quite a while. I think I was logged in anonymously when I upgraded to the version that did away with it. Now every time I log in I'm logged in anonymously and I can't figure out how to get around it XD

Is it possible to create member tasks? In essence like a to-do list for all members, where they can login and see the list, marking off once things have been done. I'd be able to see who's completed what at lower (phil did x) and higher level (x% completed section y). I am not seeing any plugins at the moment for this but would love to hear people's thoughts. Hi everyone, i am setting up a new community with 4.5.3. For some reason, the default theme is not assigning a ipsNavBar_active class to the active <li> element of menu. Being so, i cannot style it accordingly because it is not known what is the menu item that is active. This happens also with the default theme. While i notice that in IPS site it works ok, other communities that i have (have not yet upgraded to 4.5.3) are working good. Do you have the same problem?

I am curious what is the optimal way to setup Storage Settings? How many different configurations is necessary? By default everything just goes in to uploads I do not believe that the system creates a Folder for every specific area.. Is it better to manage configurations by "app" or just have it based what it is like site related content or user related content? I currently have: resources, store, emoticons, blog, pages, attachments, assets, clubs, downloads (files, fields, screenshots), calendar, social, gallery, cache, fields, profile. and when something new comes along it ends at the root of uploads...

Hi Guys, it appears that my activity streams showing topics are showing duplicates of the same topic. My users reported this right after the upgrade. If I'm looking at topics, shouldn't a single entry be listed for an updated topic?

Before we upgraded to the latest version of Invision, clicking on the topic title took you to the first post. That's the way it works here on this Invision forum. However, since the upgrade – or at least certainly since the last update, clicking on the topic title the last post. Is there some setting somewhere? Or do we simply have a glitch? Thanks

I changed from 7.1 to 7.3 and now I got: The error is in the mb_internal_encoding. public static function init() { /* Set timezone */ date_default_timezone_set( 'UTC' ); /* Set default MB internal encoding */ mb_internal_encoding('UTF-8'); Even going back to 7.1 the error persists. Over the years there have been many (many, many!) different ways of linking to specific comments. One way that used to work takes the form: {Base URL}/index.php?do=findComment&comment={comment ID} It is a tough one to map directly to a modern link because it doesn't have the Topic ID in it. I typically try to keep these old links alive by adding ModRewrite rules in .htaccess, and that particular older form was my go-to when the URL didn't contain the TID. So... fast forward to 2020, and v4.5, which no longer supports that style of link. Is there an equivalent? With the last few updates, my community's header image had become distorted and was larger than the header space. I reuploaded the logo using the uploader and now it's too small. It has been resized to 2000 pixels by 568 pixels yet remains the same size. Can someone please provide guidance on how to fix this issue? I hope this won't be a common occurrence with every update.

I'm trying to install AppServ-x64-9.3.0.exe On my local hard drive. I was able to install successfully and it created the folder c:\AppServ\www. I know about ending my license key with "-TESTINSTALL" at the end. But that's about as far as I got. I do have a few questions. MySQL - I understand I'm to make some changes in there.
