I need to implement some function after items are added to the database. Previously I have used the Database Callback and most recently Automation Rules. Neither are compatible with the newest update.

Basically what I need to do is update a few database fields after an item is added or edited. Are there any add-ons that would be able to do this?

You could create a plugin to do this.
