Please give everyone six month's notice before implementing yearly renewals considering you are also raising prices at the same time.  This should allow folks time to implement various fundraising schemes to cover the increased renewal fees and the necessity of paying yearly rather than twice a year.

After each major IPS release all of the developers are busy updating all of their existing marketplace and custom apps.  This particular release is all the more challenging as IPS and the developers need to ensure their code works with PHP 7.x and 8.x which adds to the complexity of coding and testing.
Most developers only have a few hours each week in which they can devote towards the marketplace as they have full-time jobs and many things that take up their time.  Also a handful of developers have left the marketplace in the past year or have had to deal with various personal issues that have prevented them from being available.
Most developers seem to be releasing updates with minimal additional functionality so I wouldn't be surprised if they will be busy again reviewing customer suggestions and releasing follow-up versions.  Things will settle down some in a few months after which time "some" of the developers might entertain doing custom projects.
The marketplace could benefit from a handful more developers but that's not such an easy thing as it requires a significant amount of time and effort to become sufficiently knowledgeable with the IPS codebase and programming environment as well as the cost of purchasing the suite and paying ongoing renewals. Selling 10 apps here and 20 apps there at 10 to 20 dollars isn't likely to be exceptionally enticing to join the marketplace.
I would welcome the community and IPS to come together to make it more enticing for new marketplace developers and appreciating the efforts that the old-timers make on an ongoing basis.

@Jordan InvisionI dropped by the Release Notes page and noted that the 4.6.5.1 version had been released today.  I went over to the client area and it shows that 4.6.5.1 was released yesterday.  I looked at the date of the install files in my archive folder and noted I had already downloaded 4.6.5.1 on 7/28/2021.
Why are you showing a new release date for a version you released two weeks ago? If you released an updated version why didn't you change the version number and alert the ACP that a new version is available to update to?

My issue isn't related to patches but to releases and twice now my concerns were glossed entirely over by IPS staff. I give up, go ahead and delete this posting.

It goes without saying that we all want every one of  the marketplace apps to be updated within days of a new release.  We need to better manage our expectations as Adriano has a very large collection of marketplace and custom apps that he supports. They will all be updated when they get updated and not a moment sooner.
Coding and testing works best when you are in a good frame of mind.  Being constantly pestered for updates is unlikely to put Adriano in such a state.  Be of good cheer@Adriano Fariaand the other marketplace developers, we appreciate all of you...

I would be happy to see a 4.6 compatible version without any new functionality and an update incorporating new ideas down the road. That seems to be the approach other developers are taking.
Stratagem might fill the bill for you.

I have a feature suggestion: a cover image assigned to the venue. When a new event is created with an existing venue and no cover image for the event is set, then the venue cover image should be used. Like image by default.

An area that could benefit from improvement is to highlight "everything" that is deprecated and to give us some advanced warning so that we can take any necessary steps to mitigate their absences.
Maybe you could create an entry for "Upcoming Deprecations".  You list out any that will be made in the next 4.x.x release and those that might happen further down the road.

I guess your best bet is to submit a trouble ticket and wait. Maybe support can get your site back online without any data loss.  Please figure out a way to get reliable daily backups so you will only lose a day's worth of data if something ontoward goes wrong in the future.

Chris Anderson reacted to Davyc in Pages - Update
I've spoken briefly in other topics on how lamentable the Pages app is for those who do not possess the skills to create their own templates and layouts. The Pages app is heralded as one of the most powerful applications in the suite, and it may be for those who can harness the power it yields.  For everyone else it is a minefield to navigate and a lot of people either just give up on it or resort to plugins from the marketplace, which are generally pretty good at what they offer but they are limited by the functions which developer has designed the plugin to do.
One of the most powerful page layout generators I have come across is a WordPress plugin called the Divi Builder (made by www.elgantthemes.com) - it is one hell of a powerful tool that allows you to develop complex pages using adaptable rows and columns.  An example of some of the basic layouts offered (which can be applied on a row by row basis) is shown below:

At present, Pages is constrained to 1,2 or 3 column layouts which cannot be applied on a row by row basis.  For example you CAN mix some columns in Pages but you are stuck with X number of columns on top/bottom with a single column that sits above or below; you can't have single column, two/three column another single column and another two/three column layout, etc.
The other pain with Pages is that the column widths are non-negotiable; two columns will span the width of the container equally - you can't have one column take up 60% of the real estate with the other column taking up the other 40%, that is incredibly restrictive.
I'm not advocating that Pages mimic the Divi Builder in all of the features it brings - it's module based and there are loads of different modules that can be dragged into the layout - but Pages can make a start by giving more power to layouts.  That would be a massive improvement on what sits there now.
The other noticeable missing aspect is the ability to add pages to a page layout.  Very long articles would be better if they were broken into pages much like a book.  Single column layouts could have an added feature of making a page columned where the text will flow naturally from one column to another, much as it does in Microsoft Word, for those reading on wider screens.
Stacking order for columns on smaller screens would be another feature bonus where you can choose to stack the most important blocks near the top with the least important below.
This is just the tip of the iceberg as to what Pages can become as truly outstanding CMS application within the IPS Suite.  How much work would lie behind such an undertaking I have no idea, but it would be worthwhile and it would be a huge boon to those who want to harness the power of the Pages application and create some beautiful page layouts that capture the imagination.
Thoughts? More suggestions also welcome as this is something that can be of benefit to everyone.  Thanks for reading.
