New Improved Clubs Enhancements has been released.
Now, as promised, I'm working hard on version 2.0 of Classifieds that will bring many of the features that have been requested.
I've no ETA but expect a lot of good things very soon.

Something like "add to videos app" is not currently supported but something I can look at. I assume you've mostly got youtube embeds in these topics? Just a single video?

Not sure if this happens to everyone or not but when I click the checkbox to delete an entry or move etc when in thread list view it shows the normal IPS menu at the bottom of the screen to delete, move etc but after a couple of seconds the screen goes to the full entry:

BUGS
Can't move more than one video at a time Video size (on auto) seems to be a bit larger than you would think it should be Sometimes categories will duplicate themselves on creation Start a topic still shows when adding a video even if the feature is turned off REQUESTS
Make category list a block so we can move it or at least add the option to move it from the side bar to the top of the videos "Quick Add" should be an option inside the categories and not just when adding a new video from the home screen
Here are some examples of different "Media Import" URL's...

Maxxius reacted to teraßyte in Advanced Tags & Prefixes - IPS 4.x
@Kevin Carwile Here's a quick bug report after I upgraded the application to 3.2.0 on a site I manage for someone:
PHP Warning: Declaration of IPS\Content\advancedtagsprefixes_hook_addPrefixToForm::tagsFormField($item, $container) should be compatible with IPS\Content\_Item::tagsFormField($item, $container, $minimized = false) in 141 on line 407
The fix is to simply update line 233 in the hook from:
public static function tagsFormField( $item, $container ) to:
public static function tagsFormField( $item, $container, $minimized = FALSE ) and also line 260 from:
parent::tagsFormField( $item, $container ) to:
parent::tagsFormField( $item, $container, $minimized )

Maxxius reacted to Batnik in Wiki-like-editing is useless at this moment
There is one setting now:
Moderate new records
But one VERY Important setting is missing:
Moderate records changes
Without this setting the whole system is useless as the user can post cool new posts and after they get approved they are posting porn stuff in it ... and i dont even get informed about post changes AT ALL!!! do i always have to get there and see if there is changed content ... every hour, every minute?
So why dont moderate post changes?
Here is a possible solution:
after the user changes the post inform moderator save a copy of this post: "set this post for moderation" from now on this user sees only this "edit-copy" of this post, all other users see the original post let the user edit this copy so many times he wants to after every submit, the post is sent for submiting (if revisions are enabled only this revision) no need to hide or delete the original post unit changes are confirmed as its different postID if revisions are enabled => use it insead of postID or always use revisions when wiki-editing is enabled after the moderator confirmed the changes ovverride the orginal post with the new version delete the copy or save a revision inform user => post approved This system right now makes absolutely no sense without changes-moderation. So please make some changes or disable it completly.
What you think?

Thanks, that will be awesome as sometime we have less classifieds and seeing same 5-6 images on homepage is boring.
Random from last 7 days, month etc. would be even smarter option to add while at it.

If you not add Featured Ads you have Features widget disabled
In that case the option should be hidden, I fix it in the next release.
Thanks for reporting.

File reuploaded. No new feature. Only a change for those who will upgrade from an older version to 5.4.2 of the app.
If you're on current version (5.4.6), you don't need to upgrade it. Verison kept.

Yes, it's true. For this reason a new theme for classifieds have priority now.
For a temp fix just add:
@media (max-width:768px) { li[data-blocktitle="Adverts Feed"] li.ipsDataItem { display: flex; } } in the custom.css.
Nothing to pay, this is something that I have to improve for all customers.

Maxxius got a reaction from Gauravk in Meta description for /*/page/XX
If I'm correct the 3.4.x branch had other pages indexed too. Everything was like. First page had 'Page 1 of 3' and the first post text. Page number 2 had 'Page 2 of 3' and the first post text of the second page.

Maxxius reacted to opentype in Why not offer push notifications solution
Kind of. Having an instant alert on your phone (“[X] quoted you“) works differently than having to check your mail to even get a notification. All these Facebook groups, WhatsApp groups on so on thrive because everything happens so fast. A typical forum use, where you post something and come back one or two days later to manually check if there is a reply feels pretty old-school in comparison.
(Not that I am a fan of all this. I usually turn off push notifications. But I can still say that it is extremely effective in regards to user engagement.)

Maxxius reacted to opentype in Why not offer push notifications solution
I think you answered your question right there. People are drawn back into their apps for Facebook/Twitter/their messenger apps and so on all day every day, but the same is not possible for any IPS community, since there are no push notifications. So it’s no wonder when forums are on decline while social media wins.

Maxxius reacted to Morgin in Why not offer push notifications solution
100% understand where you are coming from. It’s time out of your presumably jammed packed work day for you to write something up and I appreciate it’s likely of no consequence.
All I can ask is that you pretty please with icing on top try to make time for it, even despite all of that, because at least then someone of some developer stature has done what webkit/Apple claims they need done right now. If you look at the feedback that has stacked up, it’s actually of fairly poor quality. I’ve seen how the IPS team can lobby for and justify decisions even right here in heated feature debates. If there is any group I trust to put something on that bug tracker that is well written and justified, it’s your team.
You never know until you try is the old adage. It may be increasing the odds someone revisits this at Apple with the business team from 0.0001% to 0.0002%, but as someone who desperately wants the feature and thinks the long term health of forum software as a whole requires the feature, I sincerely believe we need to try. All of us.
