I think that there is this option already, at least there is for forum (can't remember right now about pages).

If you mean something like scheduled posts like on WordPress or queued posts like on tumblr, I agree this is a needed feature on IPS. Am fairly sure they don't have that.

This would be very nice - currently I'm relying on using a spreadsheet and a calendar manually for content scheduling of forum topics.

I'm a more visual person so if we can have a calendar view that includes visual dots/tabs that would be great.

This is also a feature I've had requested - is it buried anywhere and I simply can't find it ?

I would also like to know.

Does anyone know if this feature exists?

I wonder if the 'hide post' and 'unlock post' features when posting work that way?

No, the unlock topic feature will only unlock it, not unhide if it's hidden.

We desperately need this feature. Honestly I find it hard to believe it's not already included - it's essential for any community running any sort of scheduled event.

I've sorted through the available apps & I cannot find any that offer this. Am I missing it? Has anyone found a way to do this in 4.5.3?

Pages and Blog both offer the ability to schedule entries to post publicly at a later time.

@bfarber Yes, thank you. But we have a WP blog that is 10+ years old with thousands of posts, so we don't use the blog app. And we run these events forum-style. We post a daily challenge and our customers post their replies - it's a section of our forum.

I think it would be really nice to have the ability to create a post and schedule it to be posted at a later date/time.  This would allow me to do a LOT of work ahead of time on my forum.

This is a much needed feature for the forum.

This would help no end. A universal option across the applications that create content would be absolutely amazing. Especially when time is a finite resource these days and sometimes you want to put something up at a specific time but you know you won't be around to do it at that moment. I imagine most people that work alongside their community as a hobby or/and second job it would be critical to their efficiency and possibly a huge wellbeing impact for people.

Agree!

Jotted this down. We'll see if this is something worth taking a closer look at in the future. 🔮

Bump. Anymore news on scheduling a topic and/or post in the future? This would be a great feature.

Hi @Marc Stridgen

is it now possible to schedule post on the forum?

I can see how to "locked" them and unlocked them.

But the message still appears even if they are locked.

Thank you
