Hi, I would like have ability to set a topic only visible through URL address, something like Google Photos or YouTube, you can send a video or picture URL, the content will be able to viewed, but can not be found navigating in the site.

Hi my lords We use Target="_blank" to open linked pages in a new tab or window. But there is a security risk we should aware of. The new tab gain limited access to the linking page via window.opener. which it can then use to alter the linking page's url via window.opener.location. this might be a problem if the external redource is not trustworthy. Might have been hacked, the domain has chamged owner over the years etc. We should always add rel="noopener noreferrer" Attribute to all of our target="_blank" links. in order to prevent a link that is opened in a new tab from cousing any trouble.

I find the current Spoilers very limited, normally in BB code you could add a Title to a spoiler([SPOILER=EXAMPLETITLE] [/SPOILER]), which is missing in IPB for some reason 😮 Allowing to change the Titles or even the text it shows when its "Closed" and "Opened" would be good. (like described in the linked request above) Would like to see this in a future update.

I don't know if this is a feature or not, but it would be nice. I noticed that the Bulk Email feature for Admins allows you to customize the email with special {tags} (or system variables like {member_name}) to personalize the message to the recipient. It would be nice to have these {tags} available to moderators for Announcements also. This would help grab the member's attention a little more and customize the Announcement experience.

Your support now seems to require that requests come from registered email addresses. This system ignores, that people might use various incoming and outgoing email addresses and therefore might not be able to even fulfil that request. I set up a new forwarding email address for every service I register with, and my IPS email is set up the same way. But I cannot write from that or any of the hundreds of emails I have set up this way, since they are only forwarding addresses. Clicking on "click here" brings up the following dialog box: I'm not sure how long this functionality has existed but it was pure happenstance that I saw "click here" as it blends so well with the other text. IPS should consider making the "click here" a different color so that folks might notice this functionality exists.

I don't know if I'm just not seeing it, but in the new achievements system with 4.6 I see we can make badges, however I don't see a place to put a description to explain what the badge is for? I see some descriptions for the badges that Invision gives out: Is this only for badges granted via rules? How am I able to add a description to my other badges? Right now I can only add a title, an image, and choose whether or not it can be manually rewarded.

Actually we can recompute badges for all members, but for an unknown reason some users do not get the badges they should and others got too much badges... 😑 In our case recompute all the members badges takes more than 3 hours (it has been long testing our rules system...), it will be useful if we could "rebuild a single user" badges/ranks set, for the users detecting wrong badges & rank attribution... It may also be useful for testing purposes : tests the rules set on a single user goes more fast than on the whole community...

I would love to be able to dismiss the "important issues" on the support page because they aren't important to me. For example, I've been using Cloudflare for years and I absolutely love it. But, IPS flags this use an an "important issue." I understand Cloudflare may cause issues for some people, but flagging it for everyone, without the ability to dismiss it, is problematic. The more we see issues flagged that aren't issues, we end to ignore what may be a real issue.

When you click on the date on someones status update, you get taken to a page dedicated to that one status update. It is useful sometimes to share these links to point people at specific information. Over on Dpreview.com the forums have the option of showing topics with a threaded or flat view. The threaded view is very reminiscent of the way I used to read usenet groups on a reader who's name I have long forgotten. It would be nice if IPS could develop a similar thing so that people could follow branches of discussions within the same topic.

Ive seen other invision forums do this and just wondring how it is possible. I checked the group promotion rules & of course theres nothing there for group promotion when a user spends a certain amount on commerce. I want to promote my users to a vip group when they spend 150+ USD and then i'd like to promote to another group after that after they spend 450+ USD.

I just tested the page in PageSpeed Insights and Google suggested to add lazy loading to category icons. <img src="{file="$forum->icon" extension="forums_Icons"}" alt='' class='ipsItemStatus ipsItemStatus_custom {{if !\IPS\forums\Topic::containerUnread( $forum ) && !$forum->redirect_on}}ipsItemStatus_read{{endif}}'> The icons also don't have width and height attributes.
