Are all uploads stored in a single directory /uploads ? I've got masses of files in this one directory that looks like it's set to continue getting larger and larger (in both size and individual files) and I wondered about the long-term efficacy of this? Would it be worth splitting files up into groups and creating sub-directories to store respective content, for example: avatars profilepics attachments thumbs files etc. Additionally, possibly also breaking down the attachments folder into sub-folders based on some trackable criteria or other. OK, maybe is little soon, but I heard something that new features will be included in 3.1.0 version. My first suggestion: This could by unavailable to guests. They really do not need to know what are regular members doing on board and we save some queries.

A few of us affiliates have noticed that links are not being properly logged when clicked. This happened as soon as the new site was launched (ever since that point, no clicks have been noticed). I'm sure that this is something that needs to get sorted out but once it does, will purchases made from clicks on respective affiliate links get the proper commissions?

I know that from the customer point of view, this doesn't make a hill of beans difference, but I was wondering something. Are the developers paid a flat rate for their work (with possible bonuses of course), or are they paid a commission based on the products that they work on (or are in charge of)? I was wondering because what if one of the add-ons happens to sell like crazy (other than initial releases)? Would those who worked on it get extra payment where as an add-on that doesn't sell quite as well get less because it's bringing in less income? I can see where it could/would work both ways. Today my forum had been hacked & the hacker deleted all member's accounts. It's impossible to recover. I wish IBP have a function in Admin Control Panel that let Admin could set the security question or something like that instead of Username/password to login only. Just my 2cent, I'm IBP fan since version 1.x Thank you.

I think it should be made more apparent that visitors can register using those methods. I think it should be an option not something that is required. Same for comments on IP.Content, it should show links to connect using facebook or twitter.

On my very first test of the search function on my new site, I discovered that search results completely ignore announcements. I had posted an announcement about the Facebook connection, which seems like a decent example of where it would be useful for a user to find such information that I'd posted. Anyway, support staff confirmed that this is by design and directed me here. I feel that this should at least be an option that can be enabled.

This isn't really blog entry worth but we did a few minor updates to the mobile skin here. Added arrows to clickable rows, cleaned up header a bit, etc. All little things but adds a touch of polish.

I think the next step would be to improve some social networking features in the forum. Improve friends list. Make it so you have to approve to be their friend. Maybe make it friend only to write comments on your profile page? More facebook style. Social Groups, again, I think it should be facebook style.

How about a statistics center overview? Attached an image of a forum I saw for example. Usually when I look at the stats, I don't look at a specific one only, rather all of them. You need a lot of extra effort to compare all the statistics together. Imagine that you want to compare 2009 by month for each statistic side by side. Currently you'd have to repeatedly select the date and time scale 5 times for each statistic as well as open 4 other tabs to look at them together. An overview would make this much easier. The downside is that you can't really group the topic views by forum together nicely. Maybe the total views for all forums for the period specified instead?

I really like that new feature in IP Links, the one where if you click a link.......it puts a toolbar at the top of the screen that lets you click back to the site. Maybe this could be incorporated into all external links generated from the forum posts?

I'm not sure if it's just myself, but people spamming their affiliate link for IP.Board and other products on these forums has gotten a bit excessive and annoying at the least. Not saying any names, but there are some (at least one) that put their affiliate links everywhere (status, signature, posts, etc). Shouldn't the whole posting of affiliate links on this forum be banned? Isn't the goal to attract completely new customers, not ones that have already made their way to invisionpower.com? I myself don't like clicking on tinyurl links that have hidden affiliate codes and what not. Maybe it's just me, and maybe other people get annoyed too. Just my two cents.

The forum says I have 75 notifications, yet when I click to view them the most I can see is 25. Surely we should be able to see 200 or so? 25 seems rather mean, especially if we use it to watch topics. I topic could take this number up.

I am missing a bypass for Admin Validating for certain User Groups. Example when a member register as normal Member, then can this the admin validating bypass, while a Member from a other member-Group must wait for Validating. The different member groups can the member example choose in the register form.
