Wolfie
I know that from the customer point of view, this doesn't make a hill of beans difference, but I was wondering something. Are the developers paid a flat rate for their work (with possible bonuses of course), or are they paid a commission based on the products that they work on (or are in charge of)? I was wondering because what if one of the add-ons happens to sell like crazy (other than initial releases)? Would those who worked on it get extra payment where as an add-on that doesn't sell quite as well get less because it's bringing in less income? I can see where it could/would work both ways. If someone is working on and upgrading an add-on that is in high demand and they are providing top notch quality in the product, then it would make sense that they get a better wage (includes commission) while another add-on that isn't doing quite as well (but still popular) may get less. On the other hand, if both are putting in the same number of hours and quality of work, it would seem unfair that the product they are assigned to is affecting their income. Just thought I'd ask. .Ian
To be honest, I don't care as long as the quality is high and they produce good products for me to use and to make money from!

So thought I'd ask. :) Isn't this a bit personal? ;-)I'm not asking what each person makes, just the overall structure. Hopefully, everyone gets paid enough that they don't even worry about it. Management Lindy Posted May 23, 2010 Management Share Posted May 23, 2010 I don't think it's appropriate to comment on how our staff are compensated. Suffice to say, I think most would agree that we treat everyone fairly. :)

Mark H.
Breakfast? What's that? Oh... wait. Now I remember. That's the one giant mug of coffee (strong enough to float a horseshoe in) that I have every day when I first wake up.
