When a user hovers over the online status it does show the location of where the user is. But I look sometime and see Hmmm that sounds like a topic I like to read as well. So I have to search for the term why not make a hyperlink to the location of were the status display is so people can go there if they wish.

Alright, well after using Invision Power Board 3.2, I've noticed a few things that it seems to be lacking. 1.) For instance, emotions are much harder to find. The old way was much better in my honest opinion, there is plenty of room below post options to place it. You could just build the list the old way and be able to scroll, draw all the emotions instead of a preset amount. 2.) Post icons being removed, they are a quick easy way to see what the content is about. The way it has been designed in Invision Power Board 3 just made it not used often. Instead of making it hard to find, place it below the topic title or below post options. Once there, you can even make a d…

I have found that many people simply post the url of the youtube page i.e. [url=" It would be nice if by default IPB could ignore anything after the & and so autopost it rather than just a link I have amended my site, but would be nice as default.

Don't get me wrong, 3.2 is looking awesome with many great enhancements. However there's been no word on a few basic clean up tools that would make managing forums so much easier. Things we need: 1. Ability to mass delete / prune old pm's / conversations. Currently the only way to delete them for your members is to do several MySQL queries. This is probably beyond many people's skill set to do. 2. Ability to mass delete / prune attachments that are over a certain date old. Currently you have to do a search and select and delete attachments page by page of results. This takes ages to do. 3. Ability to mass delete / prune topics and maybe posts of deleted members. I k…

i have a 27" display can these be upgraded to be dynamic scaling to use the real estate. with the fixed size i am constantly scrolling the tiny window to watch & check progress.

I would like to suggest the addition of "Ignore/Un-Ignore" to be in the member card pop up. This would make the most sense as going to the UCP to ignore someone is just cumbersome. We should still have the options in the UCP to edit our ignore list if need be, but having the option in the member card pop up would be much easier for the end user.

Is there any way you can sell this product as a one time fee, where a user can host it on his own server? I was told in the chatroom that the reason IPB doesn't allow users to host IP Chat on their own servers is because most people have shared hosting, and it would be too resource intensive. But what about users who prove that they own a dedicated? Would you then allow a user to purchase IP Chat and host it on his own dedicated server?

This idea came from VB's Project Tools and we're currently using it. When adding a project, there will be an option to display the Project in forum list. If I choose to, then the forum will now look like the attached image.

I am not sure if I have mentioned the above title correctly. I would like to know if there is a mod to enable users to apply for membership to join a group through their UCP. In vb and phpbb I have seen that general users can request to join other groups. Its implemented pretty well on the adminzone since I am a general user if I want I can apply for membership to join another group. But its on vb. I would like to know if this feature is available on ipb. I searched the ACP but no luck. :/

Hi guys, Loving the products, but that should come as no surprise. ;) Would it be possible to get a "find & replace" method posted for fixed bugs as they are patched so customers don't have to wait for a new version if a particular bug or group of bugs are negatively impacting their community?

I see in Tracker only few bugs. It seems that development of IP.Board 3.2.0 was very well prepared for public release. Well done :) I upgraded my test board from 3.1.4 to 3.2.0 Beta 2 and it's running fine.

Maintaining a localized IP.Board and one addition that could really save time and clicks is putting the search box for finding language strings on all pages when working with the languages, i.e. even have the search box on the search results page. Now I do a search for a word get some content and edit it. Then to be able to search for another term I have to click "View word packs" and then enter the search query. If this search box was included on the search results page it would save me time and probably a lot of other users localizing the IP.Board and its addons.

I know this has been mentioned a few times in the past - but it would be a really great feature and is one of only a few things that holds me back from migrating completely to IPB. Many of the other features I missed have been added in 3.1/3.2, so I'm hopeful :D There are plugins that provide similar topic boxes at the bottom of threads already, but as far as I can tell, they do an intensive query every time the topic is viewed. It would be more more effective to add an extra column to the topic database which contains topic IDs of similar topics (which can be generated when the thread is first posted or via a rebuild). This might be an idea for an addon. On our board we use the polls for a lot for different kind of contests. In many cases, the users vote for their favorite participant, but at some polls it would be nice if the poll result would be randomly selected. This sort of functionality would probably only make sense for some poll games so I am guessing that there is a relatively small need for it. Anyway, it would be nice to know if more users would like such a feature.

Pretty simple suggestion: it'd be nice if there was a checkbox at the top of each notification column that would let you check or uncheck all the items in that column. Edit: Better yet, just have them at the top of each category. ("Topics and Posts", "Calendar", etc.)

Please add a feature to require approval for all posts within a topic in order for it to be shown. I saw this feature in the fatwallet forum yesterday. I know you can create a forum and enable posting moderation but I want to apply it for certain topics only. Also, add a popup to let the member know that it needs to be manually approved. Often times, members send a PM to ask why isn't their replies/topics showing up!

It's very promising that Beta 3 came so quickly after Beta 2 but why isn't there a changelog or official post on the differences/fixes and additions? The only thing I'm aware of from beta 1 to beta 2 was the VSE and Google+ button :P

Could we please have a profile page link (similar to the friends one) to "Ignore this member"? This way I can click on someone's profile and (without having to remember how to spell their username + AND + click multiple times to get to the ignore page for my user settings) simply ignore them right away - no messing about or navigating into the depths of my user settings. Once clicked, the member is added to my "ignore" list and the link changes to "Do no ignore this member". Cheers, Shaun :D

I really dont like the way the documentation has been put into ip.content now. its horrible. i cant find what im looking for anymore. the least you could do is make the sub-categories vertically listed, listed like sub-forums is horribly hard to read. Nothing should be in a horizintal list ever (IMHO) columns and rows are easy to make and are easy on the eyes.
