It would be nice if when someone removes an attachment by taking it of "My Attachments" instead of it showing a missing image in a post to show a missing image message either by using a image that shows "image removed" or show an actual text message meaning the same. Any alternative compared to a broken image place holder, as I think even further this could be extended across all broken images internal or external? Thank You

On our forum, we require an additional piece of information stored as a number in the profile. This number is unique to the member registering for an account. Would it be possible to add a new column to the Validating Members page allowing you to select one of the user defined profile inputs? This would allow us to quickly verify the information from one line rather than pulling up each pending account to verify.

I'm enjoying working with IPS4 and developing a new child theme for my site but I have one major annoyance. The Custom CSS works well in controlling the look and feel of the front-end (Board etc.) but annoyingly, it also changes the admin (back-end) design too and this often clashes. So, effects I want to add to the front-end cause the admin to look weird. Is there any way to have a child theme control the front-end and maintain the default theme for the admin?

Hello, you build a very simple bug tracker here. If you worked with others you feel not so comfortable with this article like system here (my opinion). I'm missing some core features of a bug tracker like: Choosing the software version from a dropdown (at the moment you have to add a [4.0.MYVERSION] before the title) Let the customers see, in which version the bug will be or is fixed Add the status assigned or in work or something like this to bugs. I have paid my renewals religiously since 2009, until now. Just now I did not pay for it because IPS 4's development is taking really long time already to be able to use it on a live site. Seems it will take more and more. Suddenly my client title disappeared, not able to see the forum for clients. I'm not a client anymore... Is it fair? I understand not to have ticket support but don't understand why am I kicked out as a client?

the block "Actionable Commerce Stats" show the current number of open ticket but it also show a link to the acp even when we desabled this feature is acp(system>security). Could you please remove this link (according to acp) to show only the number of open ticket without being able to click on it.

Hi! In 3.x there was an option in IP.Content navigation menu that says "hide tab from groups". In conjunction with menu item permissions gave some flexibility in menu building. Now there is only permissions options in menu, and moreover when you upgrade from 3.x to 4.x the options you have in "Hide tab from groups" become your main permissions. So when i had in 3.x hide from Guest , in 4.0 only guests were able to see the menus :)))

I would like a feature to both automatically and manually send a summary email of the forum to all members. This could be for example top contributors, latest subjects etc. It could be a bit like the weekly digest that users get if they use this. Is there any way one could create it oneself? Regards, Nils

None of my users can figure out that they have to go to their profiles and enable the status updates to have it show in the Create+ menu, I need to have this turned on by default. Is there a Mysql command I can run or a code tweak I can put in place to enable this? Thanks!

I think going forward, to compete with FB and all other social media, we need to make IPB more like FB and have a direct way to upload video to the forum like Facebook. For those that will say we don't need that because of hosting limitations, just make it owner/admin enabled in the ACP so who ever wants it can enable it and those who don't can disable it. I can't tell you how many users that come from Facebook want to directly upload video and when i tell them all the BS they have to do, like create account on youtube, upload, get link, come back to forum and post link, etc., they just don't bother. Could we have new much simple front page/tab? I would like to see front page like facebook: Box where you can write your message, select forum if you want or use default forum. Then people can comment. Comment field would show Name and comment. Point is that you can write your message right away, don´t have to select forum etc. That page could show 5-10 latest topics so it would not be resource intensive. So people could use this "easy page" or normal forum view if they like.

I don´t know If IPS remove the view from IP Downloads 3.4, where all news from the child (sub) category was showing in the main category. In the new Ip Download there´s nothing now in my Downloads. And the truncate Is overlaping If the letters are too long.

The point of having subcategories is to better organize the content, whatever that content is (albums, records, forums...). But using the logic of IPS applications, that also means that you're hiding the content from subcategories from the user (If a user is not familiar to the logic behind IPS suite). Example, if we have destinations as categories (Europe - France - Paris / Nice / Cannes) and someone comes to the galleries for France, after the categories listed there is a list of all the albums for France. What would be expected is to see all the albums for France even if they are linked to Paris, Nice, Cannes, it doesn't matter. Clicking on subcategories would merely n…

It appears that the total post count is not shown if the forum is restricted. It just says: No posts here yet Can the post count be displayed, it just looks like a forum with no activity. It's possible I have overlooked something that will do this?
