Something that would be useful would be to allow topics to be bumped without replying to a topic, like in topics where posts are updated frequently, like list topics for instance. It would make it easier than having to make a junk post just to let everyone know the post / list has been updated.

Can I make a couple of suggestions ? In FILES FEED add a TOP DOWNLOADS option , we have only RECENT UPLOADS add TOTAL DOWNLOADS instead of COMMENTS in the download stats the more information we can offer the better.

When I pay with Paypal the Paypal receipt contains no useful information to determine which license it's about. This makes it more work for me to know (and document) which department and company I should file a request for them to pay me back for the license costs, when I gather all these costs up 1-2 times a year. In total I now manage the payments for 9 licenses, including my own. Knowing which community the different payments belong to is important. The receipts from IPS doesn't contain this information either and I can't use them anyway, since they don't tell me the actual cost in norwegian currency. I've been using an XML float code that I downloaded some time ago, but IP.Board updates have broken the code so it no longer displays properly in forum topics (but for god knows what reason, it still works perfectly fine in ip.content articles), causing the images to be displayed as inline images. And I went and found an updated code... but it isn't 100% the same, but still uses the tag "float" so it breaks all the old float code totally (not displaying images at all). So I can either break lots of old content, to have current content work, or not have any proper image floating in new articles. Is there any official float code? Or can this please be added into…

I have 5 years of accumulated ratings in my website disabled by IPS v4 http://www.lockonfiles.com/ people have been rating files these past 5 years and now they can't see what was rated, on top of that, with the new cumbersome review process, you have to "write a review" why this "write a review" is unworkable ? I have 60% of my members from around the world, how many are fluent in English ? should every review write : "Coool ... duhh" in order to review ? and how should uploaders that have very positive ratings feel now that their ratings are gone ??? restoring the old system is a MUST - if it can't be made compatible with the new one, well ... dump the new one.

Hello, in the IPS 4.x, there is not the "New Content" function for visitors? This is very useful, it is in the habits of visitors forums, and it is easy to use for everyone (there are not that pro of IT on our forums). Myself visitor here I am lost ... So easy "New Content", we all active subjects for 24 hours or a week, or other period. Sincerly, Théo.

Is it possible that users are able to modify the user online list as in IPB 3.0? Currently it seems that the cut off time for users viewing the forums is 30 minutes and cannot be modified.

Hello, how can I prevent that users (or better a usergroup) can use all the CSS they want? On my site guests are allowed to post. In the good old BBCode era it was easy to disallow BBCode for guests but now they can use HTML and CSS to modify content (they can hide text and URLs if they set background and text color to the same as the page background color (just an example)). In the past I only had to moderate content but I also have to moderate style. This is really annoying. ... or they can do this:

According to my poll results people would like to have more control over email notification settings (question #2) and the "email notification for every reply" could be scarped altogether as nobody supports it. Keep in mind how happy your email server would be seeing its job slashed tenfold or more.

I've mentioned this before... I just lost a rather long post which I'm not very tempted to write again. The reason is that you had the forum down for maintenance, which gave a 503-response. Currently you clear the autosave / browser local storage for the editor the moment you click submit for that editor field. Please change this so it's only cleared when the browser receives confirmation of the content added as a post / comment / whatever in the database. I want you to clear the contents "on the side of caution": I would rather erroneously have an autosave of something that've already been published than to not have an autosave of something which wasn't published...

Hello, I would put a question to the attention perhaps already discussed in many other places... (from IP.Board 3.4.8, i don't know if also for 4.0) When user proceeds to a login with facebook there are 2 steps: 1. Connect to facebook (for get some data, email and other permissions). 2. Create or Login to a account on site. After first step some user ignore step two avoid fill some other data and choose to login with login with exist or create new account. Steps: 1. Enable Designer Mode 2. Open custom settings for you theme in a new tab 3. Disable Designer mode. 4. Can still modify custom settings from the previously opened tab Which would be all cool however when I tried it - it corrupted my theme entirely and I had to create a new one and then restore the theme by swapping on *_set_id's over in the database directly. I was not able to download my theme, or edit any settings as a result of this

OK, so this is a pipe dream, and will probably never happen, but I want to throw it out there. One of the few reasons I as a third-party developer for IPS have left for maintaining my own site is to host a Tracker for bugs and feature suggestions on my products. Having a Tracker for a larger project is extremely handy as it lets me organize the bugs and suggestions in one central spot instead of having them scattered throughout random posts in a support topic. I link to my tracker category for my files I submit to the Marketplace, but (nearly) every time I suggest to my customers that they file an issue in my Tracker, they either question how to do that or why they …

In IPS 4.0.13 I was promised in a ticket that the calendar problems would be fixed. However this is not the case and the calendar is still not working. I also see nothing that says they are sorting out the calender in the forthcoming release for 4.0.1. https://community.invisionpower.com/release-notes/ Well for me that is going to mean goodbye to IPS. My business relies almost solely on events and if IPS dont care about the calendar then I'm off for sure. No question about it.
