I have long needed a way to find posts that have NO replies or with fewer then 5 replies where the author only has a few posts (newbies) I would love to see a way to add filters based on total participation of the topic and the authors total post count (or group) of the content author. Why: For Moderators to keep an eye on newbies making posts - to allow them faster opportunity to welcome people and provide assistance or see that a post needs to be moved in to another forum. --- When choosing a filter option of Content Types you use the term "Narrow By" - I guess I could always change that language string but wonder if some other term may make better s…

1. Show Me: Content items, comments, and reviews Content items only <-- I understand what these views do but the language is confusing and if you select Content Items Only it makes it seem as if it will show newly listed and not be bumped with replies. However, of course, it is bumped, it just doesn't show the post made it shows the topic title so really the view is different not the actual results (except for maybe reviews? Not sure.). I think it would be better if the link "Go to first unread" under the dot wil be moved and can be accessed when the user click on the left icon. I think it would be easier and more intuitive for users. What do you think?

Looking through the admin CP I will have to say I am quite impressed with the IPS Staff and all their hard work that they have put into IPS 4.0! With that said I know you guys are still working on it and I would like to see something that you had in 3.4 put back in. When sending a bulk email we had the options to select less then or greater then posts so say I want to seen a post to my 0 Posters to inform them that if they do not make any posts there account will be removed. I can't do that in 4.0 and would love to see this feature put back in on alater release if at all possible.

Currently a database's RSS feed excludes the the record image for no apparent reason. Almost all blogs/news site use an article image, it's arguable almost as important as the title, and definitely the first thing a user pays attention to when they see a post. The reason it's so important to me is that we are developing a mobile app for our site that will allow users to read the latest articles, by fetching them from the RSS. We are really excited about it and so are thousands of our readers, but we're basically stuck for weeks and even months because we need that app to have images too, not just text. 1. Status update replies are the only action that is not shown as new in the stream. a reply will show to an update in the existing stream but the action does not bump it. So if you have a busy update it is never seen and scrolls away. The status could either be bumped, or the simple action could be shown: ______ replied to a status update: Hey! 2. I understand that status updates show as expanded view in both expanded and condensed, but in condensed please show the smaller profile pic and font size to match condensed view. All content is 18px except status in condensed and the profile pics and font size jump out since they match expanded. Thanks

Will we be able to configure the activity stream to look like New Content used to look? It was nice and clean with only two lines of text per entry with 20 entries per page. Now it's multiple lines and I need to scroll to the bottom and select more to see how much there is to read. I do not like it at all and would love to be able to modify it for my site to have what I had. This really looks terrible compared to the old look. Much less user friendly.

It takes over 5 seconds for the activity stream page to load. Is this something you plan to improve? I'm afraid when a lot of people use it on a live site, it can lead to server performance problems.

Hi This is actually something that may be useful for all but it would be nice if you update the site and when the various rebuild tasks are running there was a red/green indicator image at the bottom of the site to help users realise the site will be a bit a slower than normal. It would be useful for others as well because then less people would report slow performance while thats ongoing but if it changed to green or disappeared they would know to start reporting issues. This past weekend I created Member Ranks and Member Reputation with customized titles and badges for my community. I think the global activity and reputation are a great way to reward members who continually contribute to the community. Look at those cute icons I found from a random website! Also, thank you thesaurus.com for helping me find a dozen ways to say "good." Unfortunately, I soon discovered that the entire system is passive. What I mean is that the system never notifies the member when he achieves a new Rank or Reputation. It just ... shows up next to his post or profile as another factoid. I know IPS can generate serial numbers and such, but I found this kind of interesting. It's for a company called codes wholesale, its for digital code distribution. Seeing that a lot of people use IPS as gaming related community software, what are the chances of getting there API integrated? I'm waiting for them to call me back for access, but as a shop owner this would be insanely awesome to provide. There should be a way to limit the online activity/location shown/seen at the group level. We don't always want all members to see detailed activity, as in the topic title a member is viewing, etc. This is the current setting which does not address this, it is only for invisible status and for the group that is showing the activity: Show in online user list and latest member info? off/on Maybe add this for how this group views activity: Can view latest member info? off/on This way we can have a group visible, and to another group, they are seen as online, but you don't know their exact activity/location, unless you want them to. Hello there, What if I want the chat window to retain conversations for viewing actually inside the chat page, so members are able to see what the most recent discussion was? We used to be able to log on in the morning and see what all the late night drunkards had been discussing, it was one of the best features of the chat room; a rolling discussion that never cleared. Is there possibility to allow chat history in IP.Chat? I need to have the option Clear Chat Buffer set to "No" or just to leave last 20 messages. What do you think about?

The new version of IPS Community Suite (4.1) is really very nice and full of great new features, however it's bringing many changes in the frontend and that's not interesting for the beginner users of some sites, as my users, I'll need some time to perform the upgrade. So please IPS, release a fix update for the current version (4.0.13.1) bugs, I'm sure it's very important for some of your customers.

Syntax highlighting in IPS 4 is just plain bad! How many available programming languages are currently listed? 3? 4? This must be a joke. Those supported are hardcoded in IPS4 core php code (default config for the code editor). MAKE AN OPTION TO SELECT "PLAIN PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE" or / and MAKE AN OPTION TO ADD MORE PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES for the <code>

I want customizable slug names for the forum links, just like it's done in WordPress post titles & its link Example: Forum name "C++" Current URL slug name: "/forum/id-c" I want an option to modify it for example so I can change it to "/forum/id-cpp" Another problem with hardcoded slug names are the localized forum names, I don't want national characters in the forum URL links.

The Commerce Fields are pretty good. Really let you do a lot of things. I'm not sure how difficult these might be, it's a few separate ideas. 1. On the option type fields, like say Checkbox Set, the ability to add a thumbnail/image for each option 2. A Table field with column titles and xx rows. Right now I just use the Editor, but clients refuse to follow any format set out for them 3. (Obviously more involved) A tab system so you could set fields onto Tab 1, Tab 2 ect... with a next button.

Attached are five printscreen files of the 4.1 calendar. Month View - logical; easy to grasp I like the color purple or majenta ... whatever it is .. but it doesn't really fit with the default color scheme. I like the hover popup on an event. I think the dark blue or black square to indicate the current day does not work well on the eyes and with the default color scheme. The events all use a rounded corner. Looks as exciting as Charles' third cup of coffee, half drunk. We have this great functionality, tags and prefixes but it's full potential is still not reached. Here's what could be done to further improve this: Develop a tag cloud block on the sidebar of every forum with the most used tags in the topics from that forum (or all forums if the block is used on the homepage). Selecting any of the tags, should/could filter topics in the forum, allowing members to quickly sort their so needed content. If this filtering is too complicated, even redirecting the members to the search page would be an improvement.

Similar to the other forum types such as a questions, not sure if this is possible but add some Suggestion forum type (Somewhat like the marketplace, but ability to review suggestions, and rate them). Perhaps a bug tracker one as well.
