There should be an option to force clients who are wanting to give a rating or below a certain rating to force them to leave a comment as in why. (for the support tickets)

When will this functionality be added. It seems to be just about the most obvious ommision from the whole suite and completely mystifying why it hasn't yet been implimented as part of nexus/commerce. Here's hoping...fingers crossed...it is nearly christmas after all and it would be 'just' to be rewarded after all the agonising upgrades we have stood-by without complaint through out the year

I can't seem to find anywhere from the front of the site the statistics for any ads placed as a paid advertiser they no longer have the ability to see the clicks & impressions. The Manage purchases needs some work. - Especially for Advertisements. Also ability for the paid member to EDIT these assets - images and links - any time while their ads are active. Once a post published edit is made the existing ad and link must REMAIN ACTIVE until admin can approve the replacement ads, to ensure the artwork and links abide by sites terms of service. Add assets should NOT be deleted from the system at least for some time ( 1 year ) so that you have historical history of WHAT was displayed, and where links were directed.

Thanks IPS - just realized that multi size ads are now possible via the store for end users! Since by nature the site is responsive if someone is signing up for ads and doesn't elect to upload multiple sizes then their ad may not display as often, and changes still requires a backchannel exchange between site operator and end user to get the files and upload artwork. Some ads are fixed size some and wouldn't need ability to upload different sizes, Other locations like banners do need alternative sizes, when placing order for these specific locations being able to force the user to upload the artwork at order submission.

Because you have withdrawn support for upgrades I have now to pay twice, you your $25 and a person I know to do it, who does not do it for nothing!!! I am getting seriously annoyed. I joined you from vBulletin because they were totally crap at what they do, even even worse at support. Your promise of doing upgrades for us was too much to turn down and I have loved your software but over the past 12 months things are slipping, and badly. I raised this issue earlier, way back with IP.Content and I don't know what to do about it now in IPS 4 - URLs MUST include any category / subcategory structure. I have unfortunately wasted a very large amount of time putting up a test site and concluding I'm stuck and can't figure out a better way. Open to suggestions and hopefully some option to avoid requiring taxonomy in the URL. All CMSes I've used could create URLs independentl of the taxonomy - meaning creating categories and structure was completely independent of URL generation.n typical CMS you can have the options of postnumber-post-topic format and that's all. 1234-post-topic-here. I want to see the upgrader also save IPS Info, i have more admins running and maintaining the community. Would be nice if i could save it, without giving them my passwords so they can update it while I'm gone using auto upgrader.

It would be nice if we could make sub departments as to have as example. Marketing -> Graphics ( forum) Website (forum) So they can select marketing then select the correct department and sub department and that dept be alerted properly.

In October this year, Google announced a project for a faster Mobile Web experience. You can check it here: https://googleblog.blogspot.pt/2015/10/introducing-accelerated-mobile-pages.html There is now tutorials on how to use it: https://www.ampproject.org/docs/get_started/create_page.html This will change the Mobile Web and sooner or later, Invision will also need to embrace this project. I hope its sooner than later

I was running my site through Google's PageSpeed Insights and one of the recommendations was: Now, I'm not among people who think that the PageSpeed score should be a 100 or anywhere close to that - I completely understand that those are just recommendations. However, as an experiment I ran about 10 other IPS4 sites, including this community, through the test and it suggested reducing server response time for every single one of them. Could it be that there's some sort of issue with IPS4 that makes the server respond slower?

Suggestions unless I'm missing something. I just tried searching the site for a forum on Pages but there is none, similar to the way there is one set up for IPS 3 like IP.Content, IP.Forum, etc. Would this not be a good idea to set up so that questions, support and issues can be easily browsed and searched? I'm getting confused here with one large repository of IPS 4 "stuff" but no ability to separate discussions on each module. In addition a suggestion for consistent treatment of everything (and I wish it was uniform for modules, especially permissions.) It always confuses me to see "Topics" in search. Surely I'm not the only one experiencing this. The new post editor, no one likes. We all want the old BB code editor back and there is no fix or workaround. Members who had bookmarked URLs for new content complained because the URL structure in updates have changed, and IPB didn't build in redirects to prevent error pages from being shown when the old pages were accessed instead of the new "discover" pages. As an admin I've seen more complaints than I ever have in 4.X.X since upgrading from 3.4.X Am I the only one? It's really done more damage to my community than it has helped it. So something i see as a regress (but not completely :D) in 3.4.x we get 3 form of forum type and an option for best answer same screen in 4.x in 4.x best answer is now a type of forum so it led to my site were i have activated this feature to be converted as a complete best answer forum type lol, ok reverting the setting is taking 20 minutes not a big issue, but we lose here the ability to get the both system in the same time A forum and a best answer... is this a design choice ? because from my point of view it's not a good choice in a community to have to choose to get best answer type only or forum, is it possible to get the both way as a type and option ?

Hello, At this moment we can only answer to a question, but it may happen that a answer will lead to a discussion and in that case we need the ability to reply to the answer. What happens now is that members reply to answers using the reply to question, and that will make that Question Topic a completely mess.

The downloads section has a lot of room for mobile friendliness improvement. Here on ips, this plage is frequented by us, the members mostly on pc's and laptops, due to the possible need to download a file and install some plugins, this section can be easily overlooked. In fact it's very useful for my community as i'm not serving files as plugins but rather pdf's which are definitely a format that any handheld device can handle. So please, update the css files to be both more mobile and eye friendly.

Just a quick feedback. When we download the community suite, it is always downloaded as "IPS Community Suite.zip". You should change the name according to the version (e.g., "IPS Community Suite-4.1.5.zip"), so after downloading we know what version that zip file is about, as with time we end up with several files with the same name here. I am sure this would help all your customers.

On the tail of "question" forums I think it would be quite nice that if you disable the "Best answer" feature as well as the "Vote for answers" feature but keep the "Vote for question" on that there should be a way to make this into a suggestion forum so people can up or down vote a suggestion. Even if it is changed to a "Question or suggestion" forum and as long as the Vote for answers and best answer are off then the question voting changes to suggestions. It's just a thought and would be a cool way to add a "plus 1" without forcing people to post meaningless +1's. <3

According to the modern tradition, the installation process of most contemporary products automatically set the data base connection charset. IPB does not do this. You are allowed to enter the data base charset only during the process of installation. Can you make it so when the allow remote images is off and you dont allow images to be posted. That it also disables pasting of images. my users found out they can paste images and i disabled the setting due to copyright issues. Now they just paste away and i edit soo many posts a day now. and my site is vulnerable again. Why have that setting at all. Is this just oversight?

No Tag for chat here There is a setting to open chat in new window, but if that is switched off - wouldn't it be more natural to open in by default in new tab? I can't see that is possible as of now without using right click with mouse...
