Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted November 23, 20159 yr Activity has been slow, started yesterday I believe up to 10 seconds to load. Thanks! (Submitting this post, also slow. Rest of site seems okay.)
November 24, 20159 yr Author Activity is talking about 40 seconds now, or timing out with an error not able to load. Computer and phone.
November 24, 20159 yr Author "Mark site read" brought it from 40 seconds to 4, still not zippy but seems to be related. Never mind, back to 40.... Mark site read worked one. Now have to click it every time and still getting 10 second or longer results. Now time out white page. Admin feel free to log in as me. Click Activity.
December 3, 20159 yr Author Clicking "Load more activity" on this site still takes about 5-8 seconds and it used to be instant. All Activity. Just FYI.
December 3, 20159 yr I use this Stream here: https://community.invisionpower.com/discover/119/ Less than a second to load.
December 3, 20159 yr Author My other streams are fast as well. It's just "Load more activity" on "AA."
December 3, 20159 yr Author It seems to be (best guess) the Like, join, follow etc. information that slows it down as it only happens in AA and the more of that info that loads, the slower.
December 3, 20159 yr Any stream that's not limited by date is slow by me. Which means that it tries to load all the data for the entire forum probably. As soon as I limit a stream by date it's superfast. That's why Revenge's stream is superfast because it only pulls data from today.
December 7, 20159 yr Is there a way to change the default? On my forum it just times out (600+ seconds) for a lot of our users. Im assuming its doing since the beginning of time thing. Perhaps if we just set it since last visit it would be better.
December 8, 20159 yr Author AA still 10 seconds to load, makes loading results a pain. Why is it still so slow?
December 11, 20159 yr Author This is better today. AA is close to instant, but "Load more activity" in it takes about two seconds. Much better, but stiill a little slower than the other streams, which I find close to instant.
