As @Lindy promissed, the staff is improving bugs very quickly on the bug tracker at the moment. The mood and spirit of 3.4.x is coming back. Thank you. Please, invite @bfarber to be present on the bug tracker more actively.

The front page says this: Unfortunately they cannot create their own group blogs. The only way to do so seems to be from the Admin CP and even then I can't just let my users select their own writing team for their blog. It's really restrictive and requires me to manage too much and create a whole bunch of member groups that won't be used for anything else. This was a major selling point for Blogs for me so I'm pretty disappointed by this. This was worded in a way that made me think someone could create a blog and add their friends to it to also write =/

I have a few dedicated forums for people to post samples tips or techniques but that forum is the first one in the index. Even though i have instructions in RED text when in the forum not to post questions in the forum people do anyway - I even had to make that forum moderated so general questions don't end up in that forum. I would like the forum instructions to persist on the "Create New Topic" layout above the Title. For the given forums that have some instructions that the user should be reminded of. Perhaps a confirmation button that they must also acknowledge the instructions then the "Submit Topic" button becomes available?! In the past I had used some pl…

I've been tweaking server performance and I was looking at how often specific php files are called and noticed that Advertisement.php is called about as often as constants.php. However, I am not using advertisements at all. I'm not sure if this would help performance as it's only 48.88K in size. Anyway, since I last restarted httpd about a day ago it's been called 30648 times. Constants.php 30690 times. And just to give a perspective, conf_global.php 67852 times. Not sure if there is a flag that can be set to disable this? And again, I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if this would increase performance at all. I'm just trying to speed up my site Thanks!

The problem I have with Commerce is that the default category menu is always expanded: it is showing all subcategories in it. And if you have 200+ subcategories than this will broke the shop good look. Any idea about this and how to improve? It was working nice in IP.Downloads from IPB 3.4.x with ol, ul expanding list. And It is working in ACP for applications' categories. It is strange that this was cut from the public area.

My forum (and many others I imagine) have one or more VIP posters that members follow. I would love to see a feed block to where I can only show recent posts by the specified author(s). The Post Feed sounded like it would do this but unfortunately does not.

I think the widgets on the main forum page should be lined up. I'm not entirely sure if my suggestion works for all themes though. I understand that technically they do line up, since "Forums" is the start of the left block, and the bar of the widget is lined up with the "Forums" title. However, with the white background, it looks messed up. Hopefully my picture shows what I mean. I'd definitely like to hear what others have to say about this suggestion.

There was recently a situation where a member (@kar3n2) could not remove someone from a group message, and she invited them by mistake. The problem was she was not the message starter, and only they can remove participants. If they are not online this can cause issues. I would suggest, since the message starter can already remove participants, also: Allow inviters of new members to the conversation to remove those members only, since they invited them. The message starter would also have this control (as they already do). So basically give the same remove/rejoin power to inviters of new participants. Takes care of oops scenarios which can prove disastrous. …

1. Please, consider the new feature implementing which may be useful to many comunities. We need the option (checkbox in the settings) wich will remove all links from the RSS-imported content leaving (or not leaving) the former links text. It may be used in Forums and Blogs - globally where RSS-importing is or will be designed. 2. Also, the similar option will be also useful: Remove all formatting from the RSS-imported content. This will remove all bold, italic, underlined, color, etc. text formatting. Thank you.

It is kind of shocking just how much got cut out of Blog from the 3.4.x version to 4.0 when you look at the ACP. Tons of settings and options down to 2. I understand the reasoning and it makes sense. I have 4 block requests that should cover the important missing features that we use on our site. "Feature Blog" for Main Forum index page. We do a daily blog on our site and feature it at the top of the index. It works nicely for us. (it exists and works for the blog main listing, which is fine but the option for the forum main listing is far more important to us as it highlights the blog software. Most people don't go there unless prompted by having it in your face.)…

I think it would be cool if in the REST API in addition to providing the API key in basic auth if there was the option to put it in the URL itself such as http://website.com/api/keyhere/app/endpoint as there are a lot of 3rd party services which cannot provide authentication through Basic Auth. -Tyler

When the MySQL query cache is enabled, it's recommended that you don't cache tables that are changing really frequently, because it results in dropping the cache frequently. Particularly for the sessions tables, it would make sense to disable the query cache.

Perhaps someone can shed some light on this. It seems like most elements have very slightly rounded edges. Widgets don't. Is there a reason for that? From what I can see, these are the only main components that don't have rounded edges. I feel like they should be rounded by default.

It would be nice if you could give better controls to certain users for permissions. Limited Admin -> Permissions set in side of the admin control portal about where they can have access to. Full Admin -> Everything in AC

The sorting on Field such as "upload", "address" and some other custom objects etc. can not be disabled. Some of my Contents have 30+ Categories, there is huge list of sorting options that nobody can handle. My suggestion is a checkbox when creating/updating a Field in Database: [ ] Allow this Field for sorting

Suggestion: In the membergroup permissions for IP.Gallery, a user can move his own images into a new album / category. Why: For example, a user uploads a lot of individual images into an IP.Gallery category. Then he later decides he wants to group them into an album. There's no way for him to do so. My Story: As a real life example, I have a user in my community who is inadvertently in this position. He's uploaded thousands of images to my gallery categories, but due to a recent restructuring of the categories where I deleted my original categories (which originally contained his items) and moved his images into new categories. As such, his images are no l…

I just check and cannot find it anymore in IPS4. Do you remove it? Just writing to say that google recaptcha and keycaptcha take so long time to load their js, or even fail to load in some cases...So, would you kindly please add local captcha back?

I think it would be awesome to be able to set a default ACP theme. There are a few reasons for this: Some skins aren't built to change the ACP so the ACP landing page can look awful or hard to read. When you run through the support tool it resets your ACP choice so that you have to put it back on the preferred ACP theme (more tedious than anything). I would like that others that have access to my ACP use a theme that I choose by default as they may not know to change it. I just think it would be awesome. Thank you for all you do!!

Something I would like to see is a Featured or Products block for Commerce as you have 'blocks' for Topic Feed and Post Feed for forums etc but nothing along those lines for Commerce products

When user receives a warning, he can't do anything. Even ask the moderator why did he warn him. If user doesn't agree with the warning, he should have an ability to dispute. At least have PM functionality.

As was discussed in this thread, I think it would be great to take some weight off an admin's shoulders and disallow "incomplete" registrations. This is due to FB/Twitter accounts being connected, and then not filling in the form and clicking "Create New Account". I have a very simple suggestion as to how this could be improved: Use a prompt that comes up as soon as the person tries to navigate elsewhere: "Are you sure you want to leave? You haven't completed your registration and will not be counted as a member" - something along those lines. Just to help decrease the number of Incomplete registrations. So the person KNOWS that they haven't actually registered. I've ha…
