I finally had to jump in here an just say publicly what a great bunch of tech support guys we have here. I have issued over 75 support tickets in the last couple years and I'd say virtually all of them have been satisfied and in many instances the tech guys went above and beyond the call of duty. I say virtually all of them, because some could not be resolved, only because I was asking something out of the scope of the software capabilities. But mainly, if my issues could be resolved, they were, and they were in a satisfactory amount of time. It would be great if there was a way to select all in the drop down forum lists on things like sidebar widgets and then manually remove the ones we don't need. At the moment, if you have a long list but don't want to display them all, you need to click each one by one in the 3 places the same sidebar widget appears (front screen, forum screen, topic screen). For example, if you have 20 forums but only want the sidebar widget to display from 14 of them, you need to select one by one. It would be so much easier, if we could somehow select all, and then untick the 6 we don't want.

I was downloading my database only to find out that the records weren't included. I wanted to save my Page Blocks and Pages too. I don't see a downloads option for any of them. There should be an easier way to backup these things...Or am I missing something?

Unless there's another way besides using 'external link,' a way to add forum links to the navigation so URL's are updated automatically. You can do it with Pages. Something similar could be worked out for Forums with a drop-down menu for selecting the forum you want to link. Include options of respecting forum 'read'/'view' permissions for showing the menu item. Similarly, allow us to select the Downloads app for a menu option with a drop down listing all of our categories. edit: Loosely related, allow selecting icons for menus (or a custom css class to apply to the menu header for the icon).

When IPS using its own framework structure for these massive and great Applications and services, why you guys don't making your own Editor? Editor is really one of the most important part of all applications. How about using your own framework for making Editor, not this CKEEditor or either. Scattered, need upgrade, need security measure. all depend to another groups. In this case you know what you deal with after all. CKE have so many many add-one yes but more of them is useless. Hello, just a simple suggestion that would be quite useful. In the User Group settings where a user can be automatically promoted based upon X amount of post or X amount of days. It would be very handy if there was an extra option to allow for an automated forum thread to be created to a specific section of the forum which tells everyone that a user has been promoted. Here is a mockup of how I imagine it could look.

So currently there is no way to apply shipping methods to groups. The issue with that is of you want some groups to have free shipping and others for the same product to be charged for shipping this is not currently possible. The work around is to have duplicate commerce items and offer them to the different groups with the shipping on the item. Its a dirty workaround that I think should be fixed.

It would be useful to be able to add multiple Pages Blocks to the same page for Latest Records and Record Feeds. This would greatly increase the flexibility when trying to build a front page to display choose records from multiple databases in different blocks on the page opposed to all added in to 1 block position.

I feel this is an oversight when the record feed widget was made, but you should be able to filter records by category (or "all") like other places have the option to. In the screenshot below, the only filter options are generic database things that don't help with what I'm trying to accomplish; the other options include the generic "pinned," "featured," etc filters. The database 'Server Rules' has categories for each game server we host so I'd like to have "Game A" rules on one page, while I have "Game B" rules on another.

Almost a year ago, some people here in the forums asked for functions to turn off the notification sounds and / or change them. Seems like IPS is the only way to go on community software. You're miles ahead of the competition. But, why does the demo lag behind the look, feel, and functionality of this website (which also runs IPS)? First, I know IPS can be made to do anything. But out of the box, the stylish menu and header this website has should be standard in IPS instead of the clunky tabbed version in the demo? It's an expectations thing: see attached photo. Private Messaging Improvement: Notify Members upon leaving conversation! I am experiencing a lot of posters who are annoyed that pms are getting ignored. This is due to members not realizing users have left said conversation and can not see the pm they sent. Could this be improved somehow? Maybe to let the poster know someone left conversation?

Dear IPS team, our good partnership started in February of this year when I got a cheap IP.S license from a guy who wants to go to the Burning Board by the german company WoltLab. I wanted to try out your solution so it was a good deal for us both. I am running both Burning Board and IP.S and every system has it's advantages. When someone uploads multiple images to IPB gallery then in All Activity feed it shows all images one by one. Instead of showing images one by one in Activity feed can you set it up to show it as a group like how it's showing in Facebook? Please see attached screenshot.

Hello, it would be awesome if we can easily promote contents in our sites from one section to another section IPS provide different app for different use like(forums, pages, gallery, download, chat etc) it would be amazing if we can promote Topics into articles in pages or Topic into Gallery or Topic into Download and vice versa also it would be fantastic if we can promote chat messages into Forum Topic or if user ask question in chat and got many answers we can promote it into Q&A with the answers this open the door for many use cases and add flexibility to transfer contents within IPS applications

Hi, When there is a notification about a new reply in a topic (or some other notification) this presents itself in a black box at the bottom on the device. This can be annoying sometimes, especially on mobile devices where space is limited and you're on a very active community. Suddenly there is this black box that drags your attention away and uses valuable space. Streams are different than forums, they are activity streams for discovery so please take us to that activity with a title click. 1. In "Content items only" please take us to the newest post and list the latest action under it (see image, some do some don't). The dot/star mentality works on the forum as that is a place for indexed content but the stream is where we go for the newest activity, and the title should take us there. In topics under the title it says "___ replied" and shows repliers image but it goes to the start!!?? 2. With an Unread setting you are still brought to the start (already read!).
