Hey guys, I am a newcomer from Burning Board 4.1 to IP.S and I am really happy here. I have some ideas how to improve the image resizing options in the IP.Suite that may be great for all of us. Currently, you only have the options to change the alignment and the image size with two input fields. This is great if you want to do this more than one time, because the image should fit perfectly into your content (blog post, forum post, shop item description, etc.). Truly sorry if this has been covered, but using "IP" in search function doesn't work. Before 4.x came out, all Moderators had the ability to look up more info than just the posts that used a particular IP. They could get a resolution on the host name, and also sort by which users used that IP to access Forums. This is INVALUABLE in any IP lookup tool. Simply listing the posts doesn't help nearly as much. If this functionality could be restored, that would be crucial. If this has been covered before, appreciate the link. Thx,

I know most developers don't like to talk about upcoming release dates, however I'm scheduling the release of my forum and I am sure if I have to wait for 4.2 or just start with the 4.x version (member interaction will be a huge part of my community).

IPS4 does not have ability to show unread PM at all! IPS3 was able of showing you all unread PM. Please add this important ability into IPS 4.

If I search for "include", I'm looking for the includeJS/etc templates, and not templates that include those. It would be really helpful if searching also searched titles, because often that is what I would search by (though searching by content is still useful).

On mobile, if you scroll down the menu for items and click on an item that has sublinks, maybe you don't see the sublinks unless you scroll up the menu window again. For first time members, it seems that there are no sublinks at all.

. @Rikki now cSignedOut & cSignedIn classes are only in the #ipsLayout_header .. it would be more useful if it is also existing in #ipsLayout_body .. For the moment only cSignedOut is used 1 time .. If it was possible to do #ipsLayout_body . cSignedOut in CSS then we could do much more in the front depending if users are logged in or not .. ex. like adjusting store layout for guest only ( price tags ) .. or accentuate more areas all over the site for guests only .. Currently uploaded MP4 and MOV videos will not play using an iPhone and iPad. This was confirmed via IPS Support, and reinforced by the Apple Help Forum. They upload to posts as attachment files, and can be opened and played via QuickTime and Video Player on Mac or PC Computers, and although glitchy will also open and play on most Android phones and Tablets. But, on the iPad and IPhone when the uploaded video link is clicked you get a black screen with a useless arrow stuck in the middle. No prompt to load to play on an app or anything. The content options in Pages can become quite large (ie: if you create a drop down option consisting of all possible countries etc). Managing the order of it can be quite time consuming, it would be ideal to be able to have a sort order there that rearranges how the data is displayed on both the backend and front end. Such as alphabetically, ascending/descending etc.

Sometimes, we need to send all users an e-mail. This could be normal things like an upcoming event in our community or something more important like recent changes to the Terms of Service, acquisitions, etc. In such cases, it's a requirement to inform all registered users in the system. What do you think about an option to override the user settings regarding receiving mails from the administrator? I think it would be really great, but there should be a notice that using this feature may have consequences for the administrator. Let me know what you think.

Please add where blocking a user also hides anything in the forum, such as their avatar in the last reply of a forum topic (make it show the previous reply.) Also, make the sidebar widgets hide their stuff as well, and remove them from the Activity feed. I do not want to see people I block there either.

I'd like to see a way for selected member groups to be able to edit blocks on the spot, instead of having to go into the ACP or access to Manage Blocks. While the current system is good, having the ability to assign who can edit which blocks is even better in my opinion. I'm visualizing an edit button somewhere on the block where staff can click on it and have the editor (or text area if it's PHP/HTML).

When you hide posts using the checkboxes, you are then redirected to the first page, which is really annoying if hiding posts isn't the only thing that you want to do. It would be really useful if it instead redirected to the page that you were viewing before.

The custom stream configuration in the front end is much more granular than the custom stream configuration on AdminCP. I would like to use Pages categories and Forum categories for custom streams on AdminCP to make them available to members, but this settings are only available in the front end. Could you please make it available in the AdminCP?

Hey everyone, did you ever think about official translations for several languages (German, Russian, Polish, etc.)? I feel like there should be a way to give a optional ban reason because a member won't know why they got banned unless you gave them warnings beforehand. A lot of other forum softwares have this feature and its essential in my opinion. There aren't any plugins to fix this problem with IPB4 so I'm at a loss.
