I have two forums, both were a couple of minor updates behind.  I clicked the upgrade button for both of them without having taken backups first.

Both updated without issue.  This was a first.

Now go and thank the Gods (and IPS) that it went without a hitch and write 1,000 times "I must make Backups BEFORE upgrading"
