In 3.x we always had to delete a file in Admin/Install to secure the board. Is this still the case with 4.x? I don't see any messages in Admin, so I'm not sure if this is still the case.

So after editing my profile i suddenly unleashed this little gem... All i did was add a gender field and made it visible, set my gender and boom. I've removed the gender field since but this still occurs on my profile, is there any way to get an actual error message out of it?

I am having a big problem when I supposed I had everything ready to start with IPS4... I had an external website integrated with IPS3 forum, and now with IPS4. Forum is installed inside a folder (mydomain.com/forum). Hi to everyone. I install the board 3.4.8, i make all permissions like should be but i have some problems. Some topics need to be aproved but i don't set this, and some times moderators can't mass pin or close topics, and they have the multi moderation permission and all the stuff on. They can only delete move and prune. Can anyone explain me what is wrong ?

Hello, i got an issue that registrations are not working on the latest IPS4 Suite, players cannot enter the display name: https://board.ohsystem.net/index.php?/register/ Is there anything known regarding that issue? We didnt noticed that until we missed a lot registrations. Help is required to fix that issue as soon as possible, its really important for us that people can register.

Hi there, I'm trying to set up a new IPS 4.0.7 forum and for some reason when I upload everything onto my server and go to the URL to install it I just get a blank page. I really am unsure of what is going on since I did test the server to make sure it was compatible before starting and it didn't seem to have any problems. Has anyone had this happen? Is there something specifically that I can do to fix it? I'd appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Hello! Some times members registers using their own surname and later regeret it, even after we have deleted the account. A deleted member shows up as Guest_[Previous display name]_* Hot can I change the "Previous display name" so it can not be associated with the real person? I suppose the only way to change that name is through PhpMyAdmin. Looking at a ibf_post the author_name is the display name not the "Guest..." name. Thanks

Can I get some clarification on the setting "Maximum storage space per item of content" under the Content tab of the Groups setting. When it refers to "per item of content" is that referring to an entire post, or does it mean for each item added to the post? From my testing, it appears that this refers to ALL uploads in the same post. So if you set it to 500 kb, and try to upload 10 photos, then the total of all 10 photos must be less than 500 kb. If this is the case, how can you limit the maximum file size of each item uploaded? For example, if you don't want uploaded photos to be larger than 200 kb each. Is that possible?

Hi, I'm trying to send a small thumbnail in an email and Im not able to. I've been trying to get this to work for literally hours and still this just keeps happening. Everything looks fine in the email preview but when i send it to my self to test it i get this: I have check to make sure images are being displayed in gmail and it still wont show up. I've even tried Base64 encoding and it still keeps giving me a long string of code instead of linking directly to the image. On my forum everyone's "Location" on the bottom of their name space on the left of everyone's posts is missing a space. e.g. LocationNorway LocationFinland LocationAustin, TX Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me because I expected this to be fixed in my last upgrade (4.0.6.1) but it wasn't.

Hi, On my old pre IPS4.0 forum, profile photos were set to 120x120px. Now, since the revamp, they are 100x100. I changed the CSS handling the display of profile photos from width:100px to width:120px, but the actual thumbnail photo that gets generated into the uploads directory at: /forum/uploads/profile/photo-thumb-####.jpgis 100x100px, and I can't seem to find the option to change this. Does anyone know if this is possible? Many thanks, Chris

Since upgrading to IPB4, my users' post counts have gone down dramatically. I don't know if this is because the upgrade has rebuilt everyone's post counts, so any deleted posts have been lost from their post counts, or if me turning on the archiving feature (which I did pretty much at the same time as upgrading) has caused any archived posts to be removed from people's post counts. Either way, quite frustrating for members who were very proud of their post counts. Does anyone know which of the two things may/will have caused this? Cheers!
