I backed up my database before upgrade from 4.0.6 to 4.0.7 and then my database size was around 940 MB. Now after 2 weeks i made new back up and now size of that file is 4,2 GB!!! What! Any ideas why?

Please upgrade to 408 to address and correct this issue. 

Upgraded to 408 and problem solved. Database size is back to normal 950 MB. Thanks for your quick help!

I shut my site down to create a backup of the database before updating to 4.0.8. I noticed the database was transferring a huge .sql fie, compared to what it usually does. I thought something was very wrong. I created several backups in secession and every backup i created the size kept getting smaller.

This is rather frightening because it's a backup, and why is the size changing when the site has been shut down. It did level off after some time, and I think I got a good backup of the database? I didn't' have to restorer it so I'm not sure.
