Huge cache?

Hello

I use "Cache page output for guests" 10s, but "Data Storage Method" is file based. Now my cache table in database is 541,6 Mt. Is that normal? Its over 50% from whole database.

I have the same issue, total database is 5.3gb and the cache table is 2.7gb. Never had this problem before.

Now its 1G, i think i open a ticket

I have a ticket open for this very issue, actually. It will be fixed in 4.0.8. Until then, clear the cache via the ACP.

There is no patch? They just say clear cache manually?

That's what I was told in the support ticket.

Hells bells no wonder we have server resource issues!

Now that this was addressed in 4.0.8, is it possible to empty the cache table or something as it's still 2.7gb?

To do that wouldn't you do the "Something isn't working" in the ACP?

Yeah, I tried that already but it didn't change the size of the table.

Ticket

My DB is around 5 GB. The cache table went to 20 GB. So I switched it off.

Edit: Sorry, have just seen, this is fixed in 4.0.8.

What are you looking at to see cache size on the server?

core_cache table.in database

hmm, mine is empty

Then you dont use  "Cache page output for guests". Search "cache" from ACP

i have it set for 300, updated my constants file, don't see anything in there

weird. Maybe im wrong then.

Shouldn't turning off the guest cache clear the cache and then you could enable it again? Not sure.
