Odd issue, seems like sometimes when I hide a topic it won't show in the Activity Stream any longer for myself (Administrator), whereas other topics do when hidden. Any ideas?

Maybe I'm being dense about this, but I do not think this is working properly. Help! In the Downloads app you can set up extra fields, and there is a built-in "password" type. One would *think* that means that you can require a password to download a file. Yes? I set it up like this: and enabled the field on the relevant Category: When I set up a download in that category, it DID let me enter a password: BUT the finished file does NOT ask for a password. It displays this under the description: and simply lets ANYONE download. What good is that?? What am I doing wrong?????

Hello, Today i try to setup my forum to add Google Analytics, but now i have all my JavaScript on my forum completely bugged, and can't do anything on it, i just can clic on links. I just enabled and paste the code (provided by Google) in the Google Analytics default plugin, nothing exotic ... I have checked on default theme and I found an issue with profile stats while changing screen size. I'm guessing this is because not enough room for extra info as country and pos counter. Getting the message: Maintenance Tasks Not Running I had it on "Run automatically with Traffic" which should be enough but it doesnt seem to go away. Tried to use EasyCron but I still receive the same message. System Logs seem to be fine and Task Logs show me nothing. Hello, Like I've described in the title of the topic - I've changed the name of the topic and its first post got somehow moved to be the last one. When opening the first page of such topic, I am constantly getting notifications of new posts... What is this? Its a very important topic on my board with 17K posts and I would like to keep it in its original state without removing anything. I am now getting tons of massages from users who are following the topic on these notifications about old post. IPS 4.7.7

Hello IPS team! I just saw this strange notice on my ACP when looking through my Achievements Rules list: It doesn't relate to any theme template bit that I can manually restore, as the template referred to is in the /admin/ folder (which isn't visible when editing a theme's HTML/CSS - I certainly can't find the "rulesListRows" template when searching for it). I'm not sure how this happened either because I don't recall seeing a template called "rulesListRows", much less editing it. The direction to "run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme" is pretty vague as well. I'm not sure where I'm supposed to go or what I'm supposed to do…

Hi, When we create a new record in a Pages database, we are no longer able to set a past date or time. And when the article is saved, we are not able to amend the date at all. Is this expected behaviour? From what we see, this change was made in the 4.7.7 update. We are primarily using the Pages app from the admin side.

I'm currently using the Community Version 4.6.9 and would like to migrate to the newest 4.7.7 My current PHP version is 7.4 When trying to switch to version 8.0 or 8.1 in order to perform the Community upgrade, I receive the 500 error in my Community: I have only standard plugins enabled, but disabling them does not resolve the problem. My community 4.6.9 works with PHP versions from 7.1 to 7.4, but with PHP versions enbaled that are greater than 7.4 or before 7.1, I receive 500 error So I can not perform any upgrade…

Hello, I believe Commerce has protections against Core deletion of members if they aren't validated provided they have a successful transaction on file, however we have noticed a number of users who paid via the Apple/Google Pay option are showing up as deleted, which is obviously a terrible customer experience. Can IPS ensure that these protections are extended to A/G Pay?

I am looking for suggestions on how Invision recommends/supports video sharing in their forums. Obviously youtube and vimeo are options. I tried to use this to set up Facebook and Instagram so they can share from those platforms also, but the info seems outdated. My community needs as many options as possible to share videos or they would prefer to chat on social media instead of my Forum. Your suggestions are appreciated as I am trying to keep them in my membership where I can manage/organize/ and direct flow better. Thank you! 🙂

Hi, i tried to translate some untranslated words, but it it doesn't work. For example, i'm not able to find the correct keys for that words: But when i search for "report" and "save", everything seems to be translated. So, i tried the Quick Translation feature (press and hold), but when i tried it, the function was activated (report or save) and the translation box was gone.

The "quote" function of the forum is no longer working after upgrade. Normally you can highlight a piece of someone's comment and it grabs it as a "quote" and inserts it into your reply. Now it when you hit "quote" it just jumps to the top of the page and when you scroll down there is no quoted material. Any help is much appreciated! Attached is a screen record of the action. I tried this before and it failed. I believe I have to do three things 1- change the domain name here on my account 2- have the host point the new domain name to the site on the vps, and have the same DNS at the domain name host. 3- Change some preferences on my forum to the new domain name, not sure where that it is but should be able to find preferences. Am I missing anything else? Thanks

We have a fairly urgent issue with our SSO plugin as we're getting this error message across the board, even for admins: Error code: 2SSO129/1 This seem to be connected to the plugin but I don't have the technical knowledge to figure out what and our website devs won't help because it's to do with Invision. I managed to get into the admin section and got this message also: How do I check if a plugin needs updating/renewing? I contacted the plugin owner about a separate issue last week but haven't had a reply about this yet. Any advice in the meantime would be enormously appreciated. Thanks.

And they are populated with the date/time of when the topic was 'published' ....and you can't save the edit because the date is now in the past. ...and you have to set a future date to save the edit. And then the topic is hidden until that date...

I can't find the settings for this 🥺 We have some custom profile fields and I have switched on the mail notification to yes for completed registration. So far so good. But in the mail I receive I see some profile fields settings (some I don't want to) and some are not displayed in the registration mail. Where can I set the fields to display in the mail?

Hi, We are looking to move our domain to a new subdomain (ie, site1.com to community.site2.com). Do we need to submit a support request to go about this or can it be done in the admin panel? Is it possible within invision to update any hrefs on the original site1.com to our new community.site2.com, such that users stay on the same site through their experience? How would we go about executing this ourselves through the admin panel? The above would hopefully not only be for links in the pages but also in posts on the forum, would this be separate processes? Hi. I am forced to write here in a public forum because I encountered a bug. I uploaded a clean install of IPS 4.7.7 to my web server and unfortunately the "Error 500" error popped up. I'm uploading it for the third time with the intention of success, but unfortunately, immediately after uploading the installer, an error pops up. I have PHP 8.1 version, I also tried changing to PHP 8.0 version but no effect. What can cause this error? I noticed it for the first time in my career when I uploaded the latest version of IPS.
