I haven't fully analyzed the IPS source code, but I need to redirect the registration page to a custom url right now. How can I redirect a certain page to another? Any suggestions? Like, add some line in which method in which file, etc. Please help.

In my old forum software (I've been on IPS for > 1 year now) we had the ability to display all topics that had no replies. It was a great way to engage with new members who might post a topic members are tired of replying to, or just to say "hello," or who we would otherwise want to reply to to show that we're an engaging, busy forum. Is it possible to display a list of topics (or blog posts, etc.) with "no replies" in IPS 4.1.x? If so, how? I looked at the Activity Streams and couldn't find a setting for "no replies" or "number of replies."

Hi there. I want that all users can edit their posts in certain category, but others category are not allowing to edit own posts. For example, the category "Sales", where users can create topics, such as "Selling 5 books", and after the sale of each book, the user can edit their own post: "Left 4 books", "Left only 3 books" etc. But in the others categories in the forum the user can't change their own posts. I tried to find this option in Forum Settings, but nothing has been found.

Is it possible to find all the content assigned to the user "Guest". I inadvertently removed a user. All his content now should have been assigned to "Guest". But I want to check that. How can I do it?

Does anyone know why when you change a username, that it seems to change it everywhere but the tag itself? Here is a example. Let's say I tag @Member in multiple post in multiple forums. Later on @Member wants his username changed to something else. This will change his username etc. but the @Member never gets updated to point to the new user name. It still shows the old user name and when you hover it says "there was a problem loading this content". Now if you click on it, it will take you to their profile. Is this by default? Shouldn't it do a find and replace then change the @Member to the new tag?

Hello, I have a problem with the meter on the forum views. They do not work displayed on the forum. I got the hint to set up a cron job, so I did but was not counting impressions, I tried to get support from the SUPPORT IPS, but IPS said that the fault of the server and the server said it's a mistake IPS. I was alone, no one helped me. So I decided to download IPS version nulled, to see if time will work counting impressions. And as it turned out - it works. So this is not a server error. I wonder what I can do to fix the display, because I have a lot of new topics that have tens response and the zero impressions. Please hint. Can install the new IP.…

Hey guys, I am a noob at the Commerce app within IP 4.0. I don't believe there is any documentation for it, so I guess I will ask here as I'm sure there are many experienced IP users out there. 1) How would I create a monthly or yearly subscription? And is there anyway that this subscription will automatically charge the client's credit card or PayPal account? 2) Also is there a way to have donations as a subscription, like auomtically monthly or yearly donations? 3) And finally, how do I test payment methods before going live to make sure everything is really working? I need to show more of the announcements on the pages. Too much gets hidden and people are not clicking them to read more. How can I change how much is seen in the announcements? Here is the situation, we will have many members logged in to our IPS community. They will be using computers that are publicly available. I want to logout these members after they are done. I will know which members are logged in on the public computers. There will be a very specific start and stop time to their activity. If this can't be accomplished via the Admin CP is there another way of doing this? Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, I upgraded today and checked the new auto promote feature of .16 even if user does not login. I don't know if this is just a night process because a lot of old (not logged in) users are still in the old usergroup. Normally it's set up to auto promote after 3 days. Is there any secret to get this working?

Last night I began manually uploading the delta upgrade file from 4.1.15 to 4.1.16.1. This was about 3am when I board load was very light. I left the board open and continued posting as I uploaded the files, as I have for years of upgrades prior to this. Half way through uploading the files, I noticed the site wouldn't respond. I then noticed the sql partition was full, and eventually tracked it down to the core_log.idb table ballooning to 22gig. As fast as I could delete files on the partition, this table continued to grow. To cut a 3 hour triage story short, I had to restore the http root files, drop the database and import a backup taken prior to the upgrade. Is t…

Hi, I am just wondering if there is still an option to disable private messenger per user group? I know there used to be a way to do this with one click in IPB 3.x series, but in the latest version I cannot find how to disable the private messenger for a whole user group, other than setting limits to zero for per messages sent. Dear All My knowledge of creating/editing blocks is limited, but I've been looking to alter the "Top Reputation" block. At present it shows Top Reputation by Week, Month, Year and All Time. Trying to upgrade my forum, but keeps getting this problem when upgrading... Also the path to the uploads folder has changed in the user part of it. Is there a way of fixing the problem within FTP or what would I have to do?
