Your userbar at the top right stays fixed and follows the scrolling of your page, so you always have an eye on your notifications! To do this, add this in your custom.css: #elUserNav { position: fixed; z-index: 10; }

Hi, If a moderator split a topic, it has to choose a new title for the new created topic. After that, it seems to be not possible to edit the title of this new topic. Is it a bug, a missing feature, or a hidden feature ? Thank you!

As you know, the IP.Downloads module supports uploading files from your computer. However, in some cases I need to link to a file on a server instead, for bandwidth reasons. Is this possible via an extension/plugin? I looked on the marketplace, but didn't find what I was looking for. Some example use cases would be: Linking to a file on Amazon S3, but allowing the user to go through the normal download flow (require login etc) Linking to file on another server, and the same as above. Thank you

So, I'm actually considering about re-branding my community and changing the domain name. I have never done this before, so I'm absolutely clueless in regards to what I have to do. Other than moving the full backup to a new server and changing the name servers, what files have to be edited for everything to work fine?

Hi All, I switched to HTTPS for everything last week. Since then I have found that the default theme keeps loading a single resource over HTTP. This image; http://www.sau.com.au/forums/uploads/set_resources_1/d0e70b4cbb9ab8afb1bc1065a3f8487a_subitem_stem.png In the css file; data-lists.css background-image: url( "{resource="subitem_stem.png" app="core" location="front"}" ); Nothing I do will load that securely. Does anyone know if in 4.1 there is a way or a plugin available that will allow you to show only the first post to guests and the additional would be hidden. I have been using Wolfie's mod for version 3, and have not upgraded the site yet to version 4 that I'm using it on.

I have a Premium Membership set up to renew annually. Everyone who is getting the renewal notice is having trouble. I have used the same PayPal account for over 10 years, nothing there has changed. I have not made any changes to the membership since I set it up last year. Did I set something up wrong? Here is a reply from one member: Yesterday I received an email renewal notice for the premium membership but the paypal wouldn't go though. If I try to do it though the forum store instead of the email, I get a notice that I'm already a member and can't do it twice. Paypal says nothing went though. Is this something on my end or the site's?

Hi Guys - After converting from vB 4 to IPS 4 the number of records appears to be incorrect when displayed in AdminCP > Databases. See image. The number should be 607. 697 is how many are displayed when I click manage records. To increase the number of records displayed here, I can go into an article / record, make an edit and save the changes. This updates the number to include all records in a specific category. Is there a way to do this without manually editing one article in each category?

Hi Guys - Is there any way to update the number of comments displayed below an article? The only way I've discovered is to add an additional comment, then the number is updated from zero. See image below. The top two articles display the number of comments because I added a test comment below the existing comments. The bottom two article show zero comments, even though there are plenty of comments listed when I click on the comments.

Hi Guys - I converted test database from vB 4 into IPS 4. I have a problem with the database created as part of the conversion. I can't add new records through the main page using the Add New Article button. When I click this button, I see the following screen. There's no place to enter a title and body of the text. I created a new database and put it inside the same page, it worked fine. I also created a new page and put the imported database inside, and still have the issue. Thus, it seems the issue is with the database. If I go into AdminCP and view the database records, I can use the Add New Record button. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, when flagging a member as spammer, the setting can be set hide content subbmited already, and all him post are hide, but when unflag member as spammer, I have to unhide all post one by one, is posible set a option automatic unhide all posts when member is unflag as spammer? or a option advanced to unhide all posts of some day??

I have my registration set so I/Admin need to authorize newly registered Members after I review the registration info. I understand those newly registered Members receive an email stating their registration is waiting to be authorized. Question 1: Once I authorize new Members, do they get another email stating they have been authorized to participate on the Forums? Question 2: If they do get that second email is there any way I can customize the content, like "Welcome, please review Board Guidelines etc., etc., etc.?

When a new user registers at http://shipofheroes.com/forums/ it pops up with the terms of us when you click register. We do not want this and only want the user to have to check the box that says I agree to terms of use. once the individual clicks register, it should not go to this. forcing them to scroll the the very bottom and selecting i accept again. please help with this issue. thank you all for any help you can provide.

My members are driving me crazy with their blog formatting. They're posting in all sorts of bright colors and crazy font sizes which make the posts almost unreadable. I feel like this makes my site look very unprofessional, and prefer to keep the font sizes and colors consistent across the site. I've removed the editor options for font size and colors, but they persist. I suspect the members are using another program (like Word) and pasting from there. I don't want to disable pasting, because many of the entries are very long and would be extremely inconvenient to re-type. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you fix it? Any suggestions on solving…
