How to edit "accepted file types" in Gallery? Hi. Is there any way for me to change the text features that the forums in my site offers? For example, my site has a marketplace. Therefore I would like to change the "Start New Topic" button to "Create an ad or shop" in the sell forum, and "Create an ad" in the buy forum. Is there any way for me to do that?

Hi folks, I've recently encountered an error while trying to update a description to each of my forums. Should be a simple task, but I get this result: Column 'autoreply_authorid' cannot be null (1048) It wasn't acting this way a week or so ago. Anything have the faintest idea what this could have yielded from? Thanks! Edit: Apparently it DID save the changes I needed; however, that error remains. Personally I'd like to eliminate the error despite getting the saved changes.

I'm looking for some way to force new members to update their profiles -- search found old discussions about v3x. I think I saw something in the Marketplace that popped up a message for the member, but I can't find it now either. My site requires users to complete additional custom fields when they sign up, but that information is not coming in with those who join via Facebook. I would like to require them to add that required info somewhow... Thanks!

Hello, can we use paypal integration to split the payment with commerce instead receiving 100% and then payout vendors ? Buyer get a product 100$, seller receive 90$ and us 10$ ? Actually we pay two fees : on the whole transaction and when we send money to the seller.

I am hoping someone else has already run into this problem and maybe has a workaround or possible solution. My IPS is installed in a sub folder and all I am trying to do is have a simple link in the root of the site to the basic “login” screen in the sub folder. Sounds, easy enough right? Publish a link under www.example.com to www.example.com/forums/login/ and everything should work, right? Nope. Because after they login they are redirected back to www.example.com instead of being taken to the default page for the forum. Now, if they are coming from a link outside of the domain – all works great and they are not redirected …

I have a prod environment at www.rllmukforum.com, and our test environment runs on cloned server under different url. All uploaded images (profile images, etc.) point to the prod URL, despite my updating conf_global to reflect the new values. I uploaded the hashgenerator.php and it created a value to add to constants.php (which I had to create), but this did not help. Is there another configuration somewhere which causes the URL to be incorrect?

Good afternoon, I've been working on my site all day, but one thing has me stuck. When creating my main menu, I'm looking to somewhat bypass the board's main index and use the several categories as menu items on the main navigation. For example, I want the main menu to say: Home, Category 1, Category 2, Category 3, ..., and so on. Since "Forum Category" is not a menu type option, I'm stuck with having to use external links to the category itself. The mostly works, but the menu item does not stay highlighted in the main navigation when you visit the page. This also causes any submenus to not appear until you hover over the menu item. Long story short, I purchased a QNAP NAS....and it has the ability to backup my IPB Suite. I have a cron job that backs up the databases and pipes them down to my NAS. My community is over 230GB in size. Without my IPB Downloads my community is 8GB. I could very easily set up my QNAP to backup my flat files on a weekly schedule. However the IP Downloads folder I would set up to be a continuous sync. The issue I am running into at the moment is excluding the IP Downloads directory from the flat files. I was hoping that .IPB was only used in the Downloads directory, but it is not. If I could set the file extension myself, I could then exclude that type of file from being br…

Hello, While deleting a user, the posts can be kept and the user renamed. That's great. Deleted users are renamed to "Guest" by default, and I'd like to change that name. How can I do that ?

Let's start from the beginning... We did everything like everyone do... We installed our forum with no f... problems. We made all groups on the forum, we added sidebar via ACP after that we edited ONE just ONE group and we added some background to it after that... we did get result not expected of script which cost a lot of money... The same thing happening when we install Legend of the forum (groups on board). The IPS 4 just added some random things to the theme like: writting in shoutbox everything BOLD (even nicknames) Who's online "not lined" and we can't switch it OFF anymore!!!!!!!!!! Forum statistics we can switch them off …

Got this note from one of several of my users. Anyone else ever seen this and know how to solve it? "At work (which uses Internet Explorer), I'm having the problem others have mentioned (elsewhere than this thread) where if someone posts an embedded Twitter link on a page, the page literally won't hold still.
