Hello! I am posting it here because its been a couple of days where i havent gotten any input from the plugin owner himself, and i am asking myself what to do now. the plugin itself works, but one of the queries thats supposed to work for preexisting links has made ALL preexisting links that appear on the home page and inside the categories as the most recent ones (=get NewComment), broken. does anybody have any tips as to how to correct it ???? the link itself IS there when you go inside the category and visit it from the forum its self. what is not working is the redirect link that contains =getNewComment . this is the one n…

I upgraded both IPB and Easy Apache about a week ago. Today I got an email from a user reporting that the link doesn't work. This is true. Furthermore, all efforts to access my admin directory yield 404 errors. I tried hiding the .htaccess file that's in my admin directory, to no avail. What's my next step?

Sooo, im moving my forums to a new url, the url has that was their origanlly has been reset and NO url's are showing but its giving me the error of: An installation has already been activated for this license key. Your license key entitles you to one installation only. If you need to change the URL associated with your license, contact IPS technical support. when i try and use my license key, any ideas what maybe wrong with it?

Is this a good idea to do or not? Since profiles generally don't have any content like a topic would, it would make sense to stop them from being indexed by Google, right? What do you guys think?

Hello ! Do you know if there is a way to force a "normal" (desktop ?) display of a board on a mobile phone ? I find the IPB mobile version not functional at all (I'm using an iPhone 6S). It's not practical because accessing content you are looking for is difficult, the member's menu is discouraging. So I would like to allow my board's members to use the normal version. Is it possible ? Thank you !

I am looking for a way to re-direct the user back to the page where it came from after a successful log-in. I would like to use this to allow people to click the "Sign in with Forum account/Facebook/Steam" buttons on our main website (not a part of IPB) and after they successfully signed in I want them to return to the page where they pressed the login button. Could anyone guide me to the best way of doing this. Thank you very much.

Hello - I have recently deployed IP board and integrated it with my WP member site. I thought I had it working perfectly. For all current members, except one, the process of logging into my WP site (running WishList member), successfully created a IP Board forum member with the same credentials and allowed for a seamless transition between my WP site and IP Board. But, not for one user. He has the correct credentials in WishList and no trouble accessing the WP site, but when he tries to access the forum, he gets an "Error 2F173/H" message. Hi all, I just converted my old vBulletin board to IPB4. I'm very happy of it. I see now that under the members I have a lot o fake/spam users. Is there a way to make a multiple selection and then delete them? Actually I found that the unique way to do that is manually delete/flag a spam. I need to get these fakes off because I can't send newsletter with the database full of fake addresses. Thank you all.

Inorder to embed YouTube's live chat in an iframe, there is a formula one is supposed to follow when constructing the link. Basically it's <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/live_chat?v=VIDEO_ID&embed_domain=DOMAN_NAME"></iframe> Just replace VIDEO_ID with the video id, and DOMAN_NAME with the root domain name. Simple enough. The problem arises with the & symbol. Is it possible in IPS to get a different widget / blocks layout per sub-forum? The way mine is set up now, I can reorganize the widgets on the front page without effecting any other sub forums. But if I add a widget onto a specific sub-forum it shows up in ALL sub-forums. Does anyone know if there's a way to disable this feature and allow a different custom widget layout on each page?

Is there a way to make it so the subforums links don't show on the main forum index page? Some of my forums have a lot of subs in them and it's making it look untidy design wise so i'd like to hide the links so you only see the subs when you go into the selected forum.

Hi, all I'm pretty new to IPB but I picked it up today and have been tooling around and customizing it to my liking but I seem to have hit a snag. I need to hide usergroups from titles on profile pages, post bits, and the hovercard because it prevents me from using my board for its intended purpose where main usergroups should be secret, but all of the guides I've seen for it are quite a few years old and don't seem to help. They're taking me to places in the theme settings that don't exist and I am hopelessly lost. Thanks for any help you guys have to offer!

In the process of upgrading from 3.x to 4.x. Working on porting our ckeditor plugin and got it installed and working as a test, but now need to finish it. I can't find a way to delete the plugin... uploading says it exists and won't replace. I'm I missing something? So I can of course reset to default... BUT I also have a bunch of custom buttons thru the new Invision interface. How do I save those? If I reset to default it appears I lose them and have to re-enter all, that could be a major pain down the road. I have added Meta tags to my website and when I do an full SEO test and whatnot from the rank details it reads and shows that the website has no Meta tags, Says no pages have Meta tags. Yet from my ACP there are. So is it just me or something isn't right???

Just upgraded to 4.1.17. While deleting member registration I see there is a new option after clicking OK Keep Member Name? Member Name Keep Name Remove Name Name will be changed to 'Guest' Can some one explain what these options mean? Seems sill to keep a member name or change it to 'Guest' if you are removing a member who is not going to be validated.
