If a post that contains an uploaded file is deleted is the file deleted with it? I always notice the file remains. But then I thought I had deleted content active. Is the file deleted when the post is deleted completely after 30 days?

Hi, is it possible to use the social promotion feature with the official fanpage account? We don't want to pushlish news on our FB fanpage with our private Account. Posting on fanpages I can normally choose between personal and fanpage account.

I have a bunch of users comaplining that when they click on the Activity Stream > Content I Posted In that they no longer see all there posts. Only content from maybe a week back. Why would this happen? Is there any way to get this back to show all their content? Maybe reset it? Any help would be wonderful! Thank you.

Hi, just tried to open a db entry creation form in ips-dialog mode. This doesn't work anymore in 4.2. We did this all the time with 4.1 because it's an easy and fast way for members to add articles and db entries. Does anybody else have this problem? ---- Doing this in 4.2 grays out the screen only but shows no dialog (except the dialog title).

I can visit and view their post from a link in an email..... once I click on the website to go visit another article it prompts me to sign up or login. Does anyone know of something like this for IPS?

I want to create an activity feed and then make that my forum home page. The thing I am looking to do though is only show the last post from a thread and not show 5 posts from the same thread. This would then show the latest content to lead people to discuss from different content. If there is a hot topic, the activity feed can show 10 in a row from the thread and that doesn't help. Is it possible to create a feed that only shows the last post from a thread so that you only have distinct topics showing? Kind of like my sidebar topic widget

Hi, Is there an RSS Feed Importer that imports the full content of the feed plus the image? I'm looking for something that will import news into my site and pull one of the images as the "featured image" in the articles database. Thanks for your recommendation and help in advance.

On our site we have a Quick Questions forum and as it is the first forum in the list users enter and post everything. Is there any tool of the IPB itself or a plugin that forces the user to post a question in the title? Exemple: If the user does not post a "?" , the system responds by saying: "It looks like you did not post a question in the topic title, your title does not contain a question mark."

Hello, I'm in a strange predicament, I have a thread on my forum that was started in 2004 that has warped into 10673 pages of ... I'm last as people just post away for 13 years! I'm getting ready to kill the thread, however, I'm getting some flack ... a proposal was given to me that I take the first 20 or so pages from the thread -- break off the last 10 pages or os of the thread and merge them. However, I can't break off the first few post into a new topic ... Hey All, Hopefully title is self explanatory... but if not here goes. I've added a couple of forum widgets to my forum sidebar but they also show up alongside forums inside Clubs. Is there any way to control this? I've thought about hiding (wasteful I know) club forum sidebars in CSS using data-pagemodule="clubs" as part of a CSS selector, but this doesn't show when clubs are displaying embedded apps, such as forums. Appreciate any help or pointers - I'm thinking I've missed something in the design philosophy and this probably a simple thing to fix? Chris

Hi, only yesterday we found out that the rel="noreferrer" attribute killed 99% of our affilate revenues over the last 10 months. This attribute is being added to all external links, also to the affiliate links. The affilate companies rated our clicks as invalid due to the missing referrer. I know seeing this so late is absolutely our fault. No question. ? But why isn't this being documented like the nofollow acp setting? There must be a setting to remove this attribute from links otherwise affiliate links within postings could be invalid if the affilate checks the referrer. I'm not strong in programming. Is it possible to add a direct url to the first picture in the topic in the meta tag? Its superfluous and irritating, especially when in RSS feeds the title is repeated. Is it possible to remove this second title? The template doesn't have a separate title/comment properties, just one. Any ideas? Thanks all.

Hi guys, I'm getting this error after an upgrade, happens all the time when I make a new thread etc. Also the index is showing new posts but when I go into the forums the threads aren't updating in the index so it doesn't look like there's a new post on the thread. I'm using a vanilla 4.2 installation (no themes) and only the clear cache plugin which hasn't helped. Any ideas? Hi there, While trying to upgrade application version from 4.1.19.2 to 4.1.19.4, Chat check box is disabled (I think it's because no later version available to upgrade for it) But when I've continued it says "Chat" application will be disabled. Our Adsense ads are not showing up in Firefox. In chrome it works ok, but in Firefox nothing appears, only the empty space is left with the background. I already looked in the ads app to see if there was any setting that caused this, but I did not find anything. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Thanks in advance
