OK so I've discovered that the editor here allows you to paste an image. Something I do all the time.

How the heck do I turn it on in my forum?

It's a 4.2 editor feature and it's default, no setting, IIRC. 

If you use any editor plugin, disable it to amke a test. 

I think it was bugged in 4.2.2 and fixed in 4.2.3. Thats why it works here and not on your board. Simply wait for the update.
