As I understand it a Cuebanner is that bit of grey text which sits in a text box that maybe gives information or instruction and which disappears as soon as you click on it and start to type. You can see in the above right-hand corner of this Invision forum – the search box with the word Search… written in it. As soon as you start to type the word disappears. It will be really nice to have a plug-in or application which could produce these. I'd like a Cuebanner to appear in the "title required" box of a new topic form and in the message area. Also in new user registration forms, for instance to remind people not to use their real name I'm sure there…

Hello, When I go to the downloads: What's New I would like to have a different view that looks more like the OS X Finder, a list view and make Highest Rated, Most Downloaded be in a separate tab. Same for the categories I would like to have them on the left side. Could you help me?

Just want to report the issue. ips/dev/Whoops/Exception/Inspector.php This file has this statement "xdebug_is_enabled()" https://xdebug.org/docs/upgrade_guide According to the docs, the function is removed now. Would be nice if IPS also update it's code now.

I've noticed it before, but passed it off as a mistake or hallucination, but seeing it now again, I have NO doubt - I have plugins disappearing on their own. Nothing was uninstalled, nothing at all was done, yet they disappeared. Anybody else had this happen?

I'm trying to rationalise our groups a bit. I have one group – with about nearly 400,000 people and another group with about 5000. I'd like to merge the smaller group into the larger group and then eventually get rid of the smaller group. Has anyone any idea how this can be done please? Thanks

----- THE ISSUES 1) On the admin cp when I navigate to Themes, click on the dropdown arrow next to a theme, and select "edit html and css" none of the html template or css files show up. The panel where there is normally a collapsing list of these files is empty. Furthermore, editing the custom.css file and clicking Save produces an error popup that reads "this file can not be saved!". Same thing when attempting to edit the global html file. Hi there. Prior to the upgrade I confirmed that we were already on IPS4 and met the php/mysql version requirement. When we ran the upgrade last night while extracting the files from the Admin CP upgrade we encountered the following error "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':', expecting ';' or '{' in /XXX/XXXX/public_html/forum/init.php on line 923" I filed a support ticket but would also like to get this resolved quickly. For whatever reason our host site backup is not restoring to the previous forum version as well as manual downloading and sending the files via FTP. I added a user blog to "Our Picks" and the user deleted it. It still shows up in "Our Picks" but when you click on it it goes to a "page not found" error. How do I remove this item?

Hello people! In IPS 4.4.10 how do I go about making Pages my default home page? As with the older versions of IP.Content, I used to have my board in a subdomain, I’m assuming this is still the normal practice? So I have my board in forums.ugcclan.co.uk. No idea it's my end or what but it's been a year. Site doesn't not remember my password and information like how other sites works. Meaning going to the logging in page and it autofills in the information for you 🙂 But for me I have to type it in and it doesn't autofill 😞 Using chrome, Seems at times it works for Edge fine. Seems it ME! LOL But other sites on chrome works just my site

I have this morning had to disable new registrations from our large 150,000+ user community due to what must be a bot registering spam accounts. I have all the usual registration features in place (captcha etc). But in the last 24 hours I've had over 2500 registrations. Every one is passing the Spam Defence score (1), and they are activating their email. They are all using different IP addresses from across the world so an IP ban is out of the question. Suddenly our community site is giving the old EX145 error code when trying to log in, or when logged in and trying to load a new page. This usually indicates that the table ibf_core_sessions has crashed, but in this case, repairing the table shows no errors and has no effect on the problem. So, I'm completely stuck! For what it's worth, the forums continue to function normally if you're logged out, but any attempt to log in generates the error, including for the ACP. I'm guessing I'll have to log a ticket for this one, but thought I might try the brains trust first. Kevin
