Hi, I have had a problem enabling the Redis cache. I have a message in the Dashboard saying "Caching is not working correctly. Review your caching method configuration and adjust the settings as needed." I have therefore tried to switch the cache off first before looking into it. However, when I change the settings to no cache, then download and upload the constants.php file when I return to Dashboard it says the cache is still enabled and there is still a problem. Can you help please? Thanks, Rob

When I want to search for multiple words … … it is suggested to add “AND” in between to search for both words at once. But if I do that, it doesn’t actually search for both words together, it just treats AND as another search word and delivers dozens of posts containing the word “and”.

I have a massive problem costing us new customers and costing us sales for days now, and this is how I discovered the system has changed and support tickets are either gone or hidden. Why? What should a long-time customer do if a technical issue of some kind is blocking new users from joining or making purchases of our products, just send a generic 'contact us' email or post here on the forums and hope it reaches the eyes of actual IPS staff?

I have limited the file size to 250 KB, but still continue to download 1 MB. Where did I go wrong? And I would like to forcibly transfer long-downloaded images to a smaller volume or size. Is there such a tool?

The current algos in init.c:licenseKey() and init.c:checkLicenseKey() currently allow sloppy compares of the registered and actual site URLs; effectively ignoring http vs https. However, http://site/ is a synonym for http://site:80/ and https://site/ is a synonym for http://site:443/ yet if you (sometimes) use the explicit ports, the key checks will fail. I picked this up because I need use a non-default https port for my test instance and I was debugging why this was raising a licence error. Hi guys, I recently moved to a new server + updated to latest IPS. On my old server the security was not maintained well and the server was pretty old - 7-9 years old Linux with no updates. Because of that I suspect my Uploads folder was hacked somehow. In the Uploads folder I noticed 2, it looks like malicious scripts: c99madshell.php and shell.php. When I try to download them my antivirus blocks them 🙂 I renamed them now and I hope this fixes the main issue. Hi, with my admin account under google chrome, i can access my website www.tigerhome.de. all other people became an error 500. I too when i use edge. here is the Message: "We're sorry, but a temporary technical error has occurred which means we cannot display this site right now.You can try again by clicking the button below, or try again later." I have disabled all third parity or community extension, and cleared the cache. Problem not solved

Trying here at Marcs suggestion due to the "bubble" ticket systemt being remnoved. Forum = thailand-247.com We rather belatedly upgraded this two days ago. Selected the "stay the same" options but it hyas done the following 1. All ranks have gone 2. Badges have been added. 3. The Points system has completely changed. I am assuming I can just delete the badges?? But we need the ranks reverting to how they were before the upgrade and the points system putting back as it was.

CloudFront attempted to establish a connection with the origin, but either the attempt failed or the origin closed the connection. We can't connect to the server for this app or website at this time. There might be too much traffic or a configuration error. Try again later, or contact the app or website owner. If you provide content to customers through CloudFront, you can find steps to troubleshoot and help prevent this error by reviewing the CloudFront documentation.

It's been days now and we can't find the cause or solution for this problem ,and the support ticket system seems to be gone or hidden beyond finding in the IPS dashboard. When new potential members want to create a forum account either for the forum or to buy our product or both, they get as far as the sign up page and are able to fill everything out, but the section titled "Security Check" just has the title and no captcha or check box or anything else... and when a potential customer fills out all the other info and clicks "create my account", after a few seconds it just says something like "failed security check, try again". Does anyone have any ideas how to fix …

I converted from vBulletin 4.x yesterday (went really well!), and I'm testing various functions (email, spam settings, etc.). Do users need to reset their passwords? Or are they imported? I ask because I thought I read somewhere that they were. However, when I try to log in with my test account, the password I have doesn't work. (Yes, I searched.) Thanks! Edit: I believe I fixed this by disabling the Varnish plugin that my host (Cloudways) uses.

I have my Gallery images stored on S3. They were originally on my server, some years ago but I migrated over. I suspect that there are a considerable number of images saved on S3 that are no longer actually in the Gallery. I'm not sure why this would be, but even taking the different sizes into account, the numbers don't add up. Is there a way that unwanted/unused/orphaned images can be identified and removed? Doing this could potentially save me a bit of cash.

Could someone check using the default theme if the theme selector menu at the bottom of the forum works with Windows 11 ? Been to a few forums and the theme selector menu does not work on the default theme, just wanted to check before looking for for issues unrelated to the forum software. (custom themes seem to work ok.) using windows 11 and edge browser. Thank you

We moved from a dedicated server to the IPS cloud hosting, our forums not the busiest yet members are now complaining that its slow and hangs, sometimes the header doesnt load and sometimes the page half loads, hangs and then after a second or so the rest loads, quite a lot of members (most) have said its slow on the new server and hangs Can IPS take a looks as its quite bad compared to the old dedicated server we moved from Also second query - Piping on the email supports - is this all pre-set up ?

Hi. I just installed Invision again after many years not using it (great piece of software!). I converted from vBulletin. Here's the thing--I can log in on one computer, but not on another computer. I use the same credentials on each, of course. On the computer in question, I get this error: Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again. Error code: 2S119/1 I believe other users are getting that error on their computers, too. A Google search suggests I should submit a trouble ticket, but I thought I'd post here as well.
