Hello I have recently taken over a forum. I have the a backup of the database (all the php, sql, uploads etc that I should need) and the previous owner has taken the forum offline I am now trying to upload that backup to invision's hosting which I have just got but am at a complete loss of how to do that Could anyone help explain what I have to do M

Hi there, I have new users complaining they never received the registration validation e-mail. I did some tests myself and clearly the email is never sent. Also "frogot password" e-mails are not sent either. If i send a test e-mail to the same e-mail i used for my test registration, i receive it. In the log of my smtp provider i don't see the registration email but i see the test emails, so it definitely never sent by invision. I have "AWS Simple Email Service with Bounce Management" by @Jon Erickson installed but i disabled it and the behaviour is the same (this why i use smtp provider now). I need help ! Hi Everyone, One of my forums is devoted to providing Helpful Tips on using aspects of my membership site. Typically I include short videos/screencasts that members can refer to as they use different features of my membership, etc. Said differently, each post is devoted to a short-topic. Originally, I didn't posts these resources in any specific order. However, I want them to now show in the order which I recommend that members view the videos (e.g. Lesson 1, Lesson 2, etc). Not sure how to fix this issue. Was working fine, then one day - not showing with error. Is there any documentation on how to fix this or check into why this isn't working any longer? They are blocks. I tried making new blocks and that is not working as well - thinking that there was a disconnect and refreshing new would possibly work. no. Anyone run into this issue before?

My site uses subscriptions. It also requires member accounts to be approved. However, I'm seeing people purchase subs without having an approved account. How do you stop non-approved members (members pending approval) from purchasing subscriptions? Thanks

Hello, One of my users has reported issues with searching on my site. User is searching for the term doctor who. I tested out several different search combinations and results are very strange sometimes. Why would some of these searches return 0 results or expected results to not be found? Below are a couple tests that I ran using the same search for Doctor Who. Search for Lower case doctor who. This search temr returns 0 results. When actually there are close to 30. Hello, we recently upgraded our forum from V3 to V4.5. The upgrade was flawless, lasted for around 3 days. We thought we could finally turn the board online but then the software started rebuilding everything! Believe me when I say SLOW. The rebuilding process is progressing at 5% in a 24 hour period! That's 20 days offline! The good thing we copied everything first to another VM and made a subdomain classic.website.com. Our members are there now... the problem will happen when we turn on the main URL, we will have missing registrations and content for a month! hahaha My question. How do we possibly speed this up? I recently added the application, Pages to my Invision Community Suite, but am unable to find a way to install the new application. I tried the following expecting to see a way to install the new application. 1. I clicked the "Refresh license data" button. 2. I went to ACP -> System -> Applications and clicked the "Check for Updates" button. Also, I did read the help guides, and searched the forums, but was unable to find a section that addresses my situation.

Showing in my marketplace in the acp: Here on marketplace: So, if I want to renew a plugin in my acp I pay the full price and here on IPS for the same plugin the renewal price. Also there is a discrepancy about the renewal price here and there ($7 vs $6)

All 3rd Party applications are disabled and yet I'm getting this error when trying to enter my club labeled Tech. Any help is appreciated. I am running the latest version of IPS and increased memory from 128M to 512M in case it was a memory issue. I'm not sure what else I should look at. No customization on the theme that I'm aware of. Hi there, From several version until now, sometimes (I don't know when neither why) when clicking in "download file" button, it downloads a file with "descarga" name. I really don't know how to explain. Hi I've a question about force member to accept new Terms and Privacy Policy. What's happend when I force this notification? Sends mail for all users? Send a private notification? I've a membership, so I've old users registered but don't have access to private forums, so I dont need to send this notifications for this users, only need to active users. I'm having some minor issues with my pages app. Maybe it's just a browser issue which in my case I'm using IE who knows but the issue that I'm having is changing the size of the text on the WYSIWYG editor wont work. I highlight the text and click on size button to change the font to something large but does nothing. Also whenever I visit a page that I created it automatically goes to edit mode as opposed to just viewing it as a normal page. Any ideas?
