Probably its possible to do it with a theme edit, i hope so.
I took some time to update from 4.5 to 4.6, because some of my plugins were not compatible, and it's really annoying to receive the same notification every single day, and every admin of the forum receives it.
Im not sure the reason behind that. Once we receive the notification one time, we know there is an update. We don't need to receive that notification every single day till we are ready to do the upgrade.

Hey, I don't know if it is at all possible, but is there a way to disable the upgrade banner that pops up every single 24 hours without updating or having to click "X" every single time??

It was rejected because I missed few areas in my code which weren't compatible with the new MP guidelines.

This will be addressed within the next couple of days.

This app is holding up my upgrade to 4.6. I'd love to upgrade but I can't risk losing everyone's bookmarks.

Seems there are still template issues, on modified and default themes.
[[Template basicpoints/front/logs/logRows is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]] These are on Profile and URL/points links. It doesn't show the logs at all.

It seems that it's a PHP8 issue, once changed to 7.4, the errors go.

Basic Points is throwing an error with PHP8

I can't even get PHP 8 on my host 😛 they do not even support php 8 yet

Your questions just like someone is using IPS version 3.6, and then asking about IPS latest version 4.6. There's a lot things were updated and have changed, and the only way to see it is to read the changelogs of all those releases. The most important thing for me is the security updates. 

@Karina HarumiThere's nothing wrong in coming to the community support forums to ask if anyone else is having similar problems to you especially after putting in a ticket. 😉

For what's it's worth, I tried updating a brand new fresh install (still in offline mode with cron configured) of 4.6.1 to 4.6.2 yesterday and it just wouldn't have it. It stalled every time at the extraction stage after downloading the updated files, despite the Support Dashboard saying that there were no issues.

I did a full download from the Client Centre in the end, which worked fine.
Just now I tried it again to update from 4.6.2 to 4.6.3 and exactly the same...

So I'll do a full install again to get past it. (Edit: it worked again)
 
If you plan to upgrade your community, seriously do yourself, your community and IPS Support a favour, turn off your community and make at least 1 complete file backup of your IPS folders and files, and at least 1 full database backup first before upgrading!

I'm so grateful to everyone who made helpful contributions and tried to help/calm me down.
I've already got in touch with support and they are solving. As it appeared that I was supposed to upgrade to 4.6.3 as soon as possible for security reasons, I did, but now they are fixing it.

As much as we all wish that IPS releases bug free code they consistently show they they are not up to the task.  Just like the rest of the software developers out there...
If anyone chooses to upgrade their site within hours of a new release they are likely to encounter problems and it will take time for IPS to investigate and fix.
If you want to minimize the potential for downtime, delay upgrading to allow for "all" issues to be discovered and addressed on people's test installs before updating your production site.

This post could be helpful if I know ahead of time if updating to 4.6.3 is going to mess up my forum!  If so, I am not going to do it just yet!!

I always wonder if the security issues are particular to the updated version or extend to 4.5. While I'm waiting for a couple of key third-party apps to be updated to 4.6 compatibility it's worrying to have to make the choice between breaking the community by updating early to get a security patch, or waiting as planned until developers catch up and seeing that rather emphatic red banner every day.

It's a bit concerning to see security issues not addressed for 4.5, and forcing an upgrade to 4.6. While we are in the process of testing, things aren't at a state yet here in the community where third-party developers have released compatible updates to their extensions.

Happy Hump Day, fam! Before we dive into the goodness, I just want to say thank you for being a part of Invision Community. It's been really fun to see community members and the IC team become even more unified as we've rolled out 4.6. 🥲 
Speaking of...(!!!) 4.6 Beta 2 is now live! 🎉 
It's worth reminding you this is the third Beta version (it follows Beta 1 and Beta 1.1).
We collected a roundup of changes needed and spent the last week implementing updates. 
Not only did @Matt write an epic blog post about what you can expect to see in 4.6, he also relayed this list of fixes 🤯 
Added a no search results message when searching Pixabay and Giphy. Added truncated views for status updates. Added a new check to make sure a datastore method is working before using it. Clarified that a template must be saved when editing template variables/attributes. Fixed an issue with an alert message not showing when selecting ‘Administrators’ as Secondary Group for Members. Fixed an issue when an anonymous online status doesn’t persist across logins when using button log in methods. Fixed an issue where it wasn’t possible to grant access to the email stats page to a limited Administrator. Fixed an issue where the Standard login handler title isn’t saved on edit. Fixed some admin control panel live search results linking to the wrong page. Fixed an issue where text when using the visual language editor could be white on a white background. The last post date in fluid view will no longer extend beyond the browser width on mobiles. Fixed an issue where JSON-LD data was badly formatted for Question/Answer forums or when “Enable Solved” was enabled. Fixed an issue where phrase searches containing stop words could return no results. Added an option for members to cancel expired subscriptions to be able to purchase another subscription. Fixed an issue where an empty donations page was visible creating a soft 404.  
 
4.6's official release date for all is set for the first half of June. 
Beta versions are available for Cloud clients (by request), or can be downloaded if you are self-hosted (proceed with caution and please make a backup!).
