MediaDiGi reacted to teraßyte in How to create another widget area?
There is no option in the software to create new widget areas.
These are the only options I can think of:
If you have the Pages/CMS app, create new blocks based on the widget, and then edit the template to place the blocks there. Have a custom modification made to add widgets in that area using hooks. Have a custom modification made to add new widget areas (not sure if it's possible). -
MediaDiGi reacted to Fast Lane! in Invision Community Insight: Low key news week
Hi Olivia, any chance we can get a small push for spam prevention in the current version? 80% of signups for us are spam... 😞

MediaDiGi got a reaction from ReyDev in Story [Support Topic]
I would like to see real-life examples of communities using the Story addon. As there are almost 40 purchases, I'm sure a couple of community owners here use it.
So please share the URLS!

MediaDiGi reacted to Gabriel Torres in (NE) Content limits for editor
@Nathan Explosion
Our users are being able to bypass the minimum number of characters limitation by simply adding aditional spaces in their posts. It is amazing how instead of following the rules, people spend time thinking about how to break them. The solution would be to treat contiguous space characters as a single character. So, for example, 10 sequential space characters would be counted as a single one.
I hope you can add this feature in a future release! 😁
Cheers!

Hi @MediaDiGi
1 -> Sure
2-> yes, you can specify which groups can use, view
3-> not now . But if we check in the future and it is possible, we will definitely do it, but we are not sure if it will be implemented.

MediaDiGi reacted to Claudia999 in v5 news coming soon...
From a non-developer point of view: There's so much. For example,
I hope for an easier user search, so that more connections among users are created. And I hope for the possibility to use tables of contents in Pages. The tag sites should not look like a simple search results page, we should at least be able to add an image and an intro. And they should be indexable for Google, for example. I would also like to be able to create custom fields in Events. Surprise me!

MediaDiGi reacted to nodle in v5 news coming soon...
A new UI, hopefully from @Ehren. Cleaned up code (if needed). More SEO (if needed). Faster rendering time (if needed). Maybe some fun new features like when Ranks were introduced.

MediaDiGi reacted to LiquidFractal in Drip Campaigns Support
Update: I did hear back from rebraf via PM - as his license has currently expired he is unable to reply to the support message. He says he will continue support for Email Drip Campaigns through 4.x but will have to evaluate the situation as 5.x approaches, depending on Invision's plans and the subsequent changes which may need to be made.
So stay tuned, I guess.

MediaDiGi reacted to LiquidFractal in Drip Campaigns Support
This is worrying...I spent a bit of time convincing myself to splash the cash on Email Drip Campaigns and have come to rely on it as it's a very important part of any business workflow.
I'd like to hear from @rebraf about the future of this app....? Will development and updates continue into IPS 5?

MediaDiGi reacted to Emediate in Drip Campaigns Support
Could you perhaps offer your apps via a third party website and we just install/maintain them as "Custom" and not via marketplace. I am seeing many developers moving this way.
It would prevent many of us who have invested in this (and other) apps from being essentially now orphaned.

I have created a ticket on this, so we can take a closer look. Someone will be in contact as soon as possible

We would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section.
We look forward to further assisting you.

Same here! Self-hosted clients are being IGNORED and put aside again. And there is no excuse now; we don't need any special server to run the courses. It's just a premeditated decision to brush aside self-hosted clients.
I've been waiting for a long time for a course/LMS in IPS. @Adriano Faria was creating one, but there is no news from him. And now that IPS has released it, I can't use it because I'm not a client using its expensive cloud version.

I wonder this too, my core business is actually education and we would love to be able to use it. And cloud is not an option for us. 😉

Thanks for the update! 👍
Can you tell if there are any plans on making the Courses app available for self-hosted installations? And also the Email Bounce Management for Sendgrid users?

MediaDiGi got a reaction from Adriano Faria in Topic Ratings in Forum View
Thank you for the help. I've run a template differences check and found what was missing. Now it works like a charm

It should work iff the theme follow the pattern (like doesn’t change places or names, IDs). There’s no way for me to support every single theme out there; I would probably have to release one version per “creative” designer. Anyway, send a message with an admin account and I’ll confirm if that's the case.
I'll check it out again.

MediaDiGi got a reaction from bearback in Should I leave Invision after 14 years for Xenforo?
Well, my main goal is to trigger an alarm about the decline in the support offered by IPS and wonder if any other members have the same issues.
If I, who stayed with IPS for 14 years, get ignored, I can't imagine what would happen to new members. Or maybe only we, the old members, or me, get ignored. Who knows.
Mate. I've seen your replies to other topics. You primarily offer advanced support here in the topics rather than asking questions. Sorry but the truth is that we are not in the same boat here.
Glad to find this situation amusing you. Most probably because you're not in my shoes. What I find not funny is that IPS staff said that I do not receive emails, and that's it; case closed, leaving me hanging.
But I receive emails with invoices that need to be paid.
Anyway. I've raised the alarm now the ball is in the IPS yard. If they continue to ignore the situation again, I will get my answer and act accordingly.

MediaDiGi reacted to Olivia Clark in Rescheduling our April Release Chat
Hi All,
Due to some issues with streaming Zoom to Youtube, we will be rescheduling the April Release Chat. Once the team has a chance to troubleshoot and fix, we can post a new date.
Thank you for your understanding!
