I know you have a lot to do rather than this conversation, and really appreciate you taking the time to answer. I completely agree with what you said. It really makes sense but what about users whose purchases have expired? maybe they also want to update their apps to fix major/security bugs.

I know and I was one of the first to support your decision and I am really happy (you don't know how much 🙂 ) because it removes the restrictions of development for me and I can do bigger things. I didn't mean how to set up my own marketplace, I know it perfectly (I'm doing it with Laravel and React - something I specialize in) but the point is enough time to prepare all these things. Because according to what you said, it remains almost 2 months. I mean, for example, in a particular case, as the sale of the product is currently active, why has its renewal been stopped? These two things are related. Don't you think so? Because my customers expect to be able to download the new version of the app now that it is released. I think it's OK if IPS wants to do this, but there is a better way. It's anonying to remove everything at once. You don't want to manage the marketplace, that's ok, but why do this unprofessionally? As a developer who has years of development experience and I am familiar with various techs that I could use in the development of apps but I didn't due to their limitations by IPS. I am sure that this method will help to make IPS more powerful and eventually users will use it and who will have a powerful board. Also, this method increases the competition between developers, and better apps are produced. If you look at other platforms and CMSs like WordPress, you will see that there are many developers for an app and you can choose the best one after comparing them. Many of the apps in the market can be better developed and released to the public, but considering that other developers have done it, I didn't do it so it doesn't affect their sales. For example, I was recently working on an LMS project, which was quite similar to the apps available in WordPress and other CMSs. When I found out that IPS itself had published the same, so I stopped the development, because I didn't know if this app would get permission to publish after the completion of the project. But I can continue to develop them now. also, I have made a lot of custom apps and plugins (+70) that I could publish in the market according to the agreement I had with the clients, but I didn't take the risk due to IPS restrictions, and now I'm thinking about publishing them. there are even apps whose value is less than $10 and some do not need renewal. We can manage them in this way.

@Matt In my opinion, you should work more on your site's search engine and improve your search capabilities and priorities. In this case, finding solutions to problems is done much faster. A professional search engine!

I think the users of Invision should have a discount, because they choose one by comparing different platforms. As a developer, I may not have a problem with this price increase, but the customers of this platform and marketplace may leave. for me, as a new developer paying $100 more a year is not important. The problem is that platform and market customers are shrinking.
