sobrenome got a reaction from Grafidea in Use ImageMagick to convert uploaded images to WebP
ImageMagick is used by IPS to handle uploads of images, resizing them, compressing them and creating thumbnails.
Why not give the community admin the option to use ImageMagick to convert uploaded images by users to WebP?
As long as WebP is now accepted by IPS 4.6, I imagine that would be very simple to add this feature to the suite.
I am having a great experience converting the images that I post on my community to WebP. Same quality and much less bytes than JPG or PNG or GIF.

It was a seamless upgrade for me.  However just to be safe....  before upgrading, take a backup of the database first.  If something happens, you can uninstall 10.5 and install the older version, then reimport your older backup.

Perhaps a selfish request (depending on how many other people have experienced this issue), but: any word on a fix for problems with large file uploads failing due to conflicts with https:// connections/SSL certificates?
This said, I always look forward to Invision updates and the new functions! 🙂

And if that wasn't enough Invision Community magic, check out a list of updates/fixes we've knocked out since we last spoke:
    - Fixed an issue where converted mentions may contain a static URL (breaking them if you change your domain).
    - Fixed an error that could occur if the Converter tried to delete a content link.
    - Fixed an issue with tag statistics immediately after a conversion.
    - Fixed a niche issue where an error could occur if a PayPal Subscription notification arrives after the Subscription is cancelled.
    - Fixed an issue where it wasn't possible to edit a subscription expiry date.
    - Fixed an issue that could cause a slow query to run when sending email if a large number of emails have previously failed.
    - Fixed an issue with the Frontend Theme Editor occurring with PHP8.
    - Added Stream Subscriptions.
    - Fixed the broken "Buy" link inside file embeds.
    - Fixed an issue with some topics not being hidden (but their posts were) after converting from vB5.
    - Fixed a potential issue adding tags to content when using PHP 8.
    - Added the ability to quickly navigate between Node permissions and Group permissions in the AdminCP
    - Made Profile Completion steps non-copyable.
    - Fixed members REST endpoint responsible to award a badge.

When was the last time the page was crawled? (Was it when you were on 4.6?)
Are you able to provide an example URL so we can see the content?

Same here.  My MariaDB automatically updates as well, so I've always transitioned between versions seamlessly.

I've been using 10.3 for the last few years and after reading that some improvements for InnoDB were in 10.5 was wondering whether I should upgrade to 10.5 or 10.6. What is suggested?
One thing I noticed in the changes was this though

The updated version is now available, thanks for your patience 🙂
That is not correct. As noted in our previous conversation about it, this was because your emails were failing to send through SES and a query Invision Community was running to update a flag on failed emails was taking a long time (due to the large number of failed emails).

On php8, it prevents me from logging into the ACP and completing new user registration on the front end so I had to disable it.

I notice that "Help and support" topics are open to guests and I find that a bit strange. On our own sites some of us have "About this community" forums, where people ask about problems with our sites, and then (now) we check the Help and support forum, or ask a question about it. It gets kind of awkward to discuss stuff like that open here then. I'm not a softwareguru whatsoever (even if som of my users might think I am) - and my own stupidity is displayed in public when it is 100% open for google and guests.
This topic here are not open for guests, and I see no good reason for having the Help forum open for guests either..
So - would it not be better to have all this support and help hidden from guests?

    @Matt
In my opinion, you should work more on your site's search engine and improve your search capabilities and priorities. In this case, finding solutions to problems is done much faster. A professional search engine!
