Morrigan got a reaction from sofos in How to hide Quote button in 4.5?
This should hide it without hiding the whole bar.
[data-action='quoteComment'] { display: none; }

I mean your sales or support ticket will have a more direct and visible line of communication so it would likely be better to go that route.

Morrigan reacted to acarlsson in Can't see any content after upgrade
FWIW:
After countless tries of upgrading PHP to v7, I eventually moved all other services (email and web) on the server to other places, so it was only the forum left. After that I upgraded the Mac to High Sierra (that includes PHP 7.1). And after that I could do the upgrade from IPB 3 to 4.
I don't know how many hours I have spent on trying to upgrade PHP manually. Brew, Xcode, manual installations, etc etc. Someone that is a Unix Wizard would probably solve this in 10 minutes, unfortunately I am not... 😝
Now I'm about to move v4 to the new server. Wish me luck! 👍😀

Morrigan got a reaction from Linux-Is-Best in Small Quality of life improvement (editor)
I can reproduce it here and on my community. I type something in, I go to the previous page it loads me in, I scroll back to the editor and its closed. SOMETIMES (very rarely mind you) it will have my cached save but most of the time not.
I'm using FF @Daniel F
Edit: I'll be honest, I thought it was working as intended.

Morrigan got a reaction from Adlago in Issue responsive mobile sidebar
@Adlago I reported this in a bug report about 3 weeks ago. It should be getting resolved. It was happening on my personal site and thus why I submitted the ticket instead of posting here.

Morrigan got a reaction from Linux-Is-Best in Turn Off Profile Cover Photo
I mean if you want to hide the image and just show the background you can maybe do it via CSS.Change the one in the ACP to a transparent PNG.

A fix for the issues reported here is pending developer and QA review. Thanks for raising it!

I 100% support this. The editor behaves erratically when moving to another page. Sometimes it will save and reload the content, sometimes it won't. Sometimes it'll reload an older comment I've already posted, and I really haven't found any way to see when it'll do what - so the only real course of action is to always act as if it'll drop all the content.
I, like Moriggan, just thought it was intentional or another one of ckEditor's wired behaviors that nothing can really be done about. Glad to hear I was wrong and looking forward to having this fixed so I can finally stop being so freakin' anxious that I'll do something dumb that'd make the entire message get wiped 🤣

Morrigan got a reaction from Jordan Miller in Topics "offset"
It should work for anything that has a foreach in order to loop the items.

Number one:
Number two you can remove/move them via CSS or template edits.

Morrigan reacted to opentype in Topics "offset"
Well, the logic works, but the mentioned products create grid child elements with each loop, so throwing ads in there at random points will probably break the layout.
So the IF query would also need to end the grid container first and potentially start a new one after the ad.

Morrigan got a reaction from Aramaech in Allow for many reaction emojis
I figured I'd circle back to this @Jordan Invision and show you just my personal reactions given/received on my site:
The one thing I want to point out is that the "I read this" is the most used" but not because its used anymore but what I changed the likes Pre multi-reactions. That reaction is there to primarily keep people from defaulting to the "like" reaction and actually persuade them to use the other reactions. Yes, some are lesser used, as you can see there, but in general they are regularly used reactions and all have a purpose on my site.

I'm as well. Sometimes it loses content, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes old content is restored.

Morrigan got a reaction from xdrox in Allow for many reaction emojis
The number of reactions doesn't always do that. I have about 13 reactions and they are basically intended for people to voice their opinions. I've had others but I've kept the ones that work.
I made the default reaction something that isn't really a reaction so that people actually took advantage of the other reactions. This is the "I read this" reaction that the point is that its not positive, negative or even really feedback which is how I use my reactions. However, none of my reactions provide negative reputation and the only "negative" one provides no reputation at all.
Going left to right:
Like Agree Disagree Yeah Love Thanks You're welcome Great Idea Cheers LOL Preach it Cringe I read this On mobile this sort of sucks in some areas more than others but I've made it work. That said I'd say that some are lesser used (like Great idea and Disagree) but I wouldn't remove them because they all have their place within my community to be helpful. (Great idea is really useful in my Brainstorming and Ideas section for example and Disagree is useful for my conversations sections).
Would I like a little more modular use of it it? Maybe. I sometimes think it would be good to remove disagree from sections that it doesn't quite fit like Brainstorming and ideas or looking for help sections. Agree should probably really only in the same sections as Disagree because "great idea" and "thanks" would probably be better served in the Brainstorming section. The problem for that for me is that Great idea can be used in other sections and still be useful (status messages and conversation threads).
Reviewing my list, if I felt like there was no other way (which obviously there is) I could maybe remove 6-7 reactions but I wouldn't feel good about it. Having a more modular or a better display would, I think, could be beneficial. @Jordan Invision

Morrigan got a reaction from kmk in Pages Blocks enhancements
So I have a ton of blocks and well I'm starting to lose control of them and figured it may be a good idea to request some feature enhancements for it so that I can both clean up my blocks and also use them more efficiently.
Of course there is categorizing which is great but sometimes I mis-categorize some of my blocks. This is a particular pain point when you have to look for it on the front end. The enhancements on the front end I'd like are:
Categories collapsed by default when you open the edit bit, this way I don't have to scroll through my massive list of blocks or manually close them until the right category comes up. Ability to search the list like you can search in the ACP, just a quick like "block title" search that filters out any blocks that don't have that title. It would just make life so much easier. Next! I don't know which of my blocks are in circulation and where so trying to clean up, organize and get rid of unused blocks is a nightmare. Right now I see a list of blocks with the code and that's it and since I use a lot of Plugins the title could be repeated. The enhancements I'd like for this:
At minimum I want a count of how many locations that a block is located on the manage screen. Bonus points if you can click on that number and see the locations like: Forums > Index, Page > Test, Gallery > Albums, Gallery > Categories
The physical location doesn't matter (As in sidebar, header or footer) to me as much as the page it exists on. -
