Hello

Is there anyway to turn off the profile cover photo.  I see where you can stop members from uploading a photo but what do I do if I dont want the cover photo to be used sitewide

As you noted, there are group level permissions that prevent members from using the functionality and adding a profile cover. Removing the permission that allows them to upload a profile cover will stop them from using it.

Are you looking for a way to remove the profile covers of anyone who has uploaded one before changing this setting? Something else?

I am actually looking to see if I can remove it. So no cover photo shows for the whole site

That's not super simple @Kellen Deming but doable. You'd have to edit a lot of templates. At minimum Profile templates and hovercard templates to remove them. You can try to search for the term 'coverphoto' in the templates and see which templates use them to see about editing them.

@Morrigan ahhh  lol  nevermind then,  I actually thought is was something that was done before. I will have to find a different way around it

I mean if you want to hide the image and just show the background you can maybe do it via CSS.Change the one in the ACP to a transparent PNG.
