Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Management Matt Posted October 31 Management Posted October 31 I spend a good few minutes trying to come up with a Halloween themed pun and the best I could do is "spooky". But never mind, Beta 3 is working its way through our deployment systems as I type. As always the full list of changes is available here: https://invisioncommunity.com/release-notes-v5/ Let me know how you get on! SoloInter, Ramsesx, Jimi Wikman and 7 others 5 4 1

You can force a check from System>Site Features>Applications if its not showing as of yet

I use seft-hosted version and I can't get issue for apply this update by adminCP For me the system work very fine. Remember that I manage my own web servers. Perhaps a large part of the problem of clients (self-hosted) is the lack of knowledge about virtualization, MySQL, cPanel, Linux, PHP and others. I had no problems installing IC5, no problems updating it or any other problem other than the bugs reported by me in the section dedicated to this. However, it is a test version and it is normal to have problems. If I can help you in any way! I am available. Matt 1

Mike Gholson Posted October 31 Posted October 31 (edited) Upgrade on a basic vanilla install went fine. Hopefully the V4 to V5 upgrades work well... anyone testing upgrades again? Edited October 31 by Mike Gholson Matt 1
dmaidon1 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 I had to download the files with just the updates in it and upload to the server. I feel that this may be related to my inability to download Pixabay images. Maybe a folder permission setup incorrectly. <Just a thought> Matt 1

This was for also the case from Beta 1 to Beta 2. I don't think it has something to do with folder permissions. Matt 1
Gary Posted October 31 Posted October 31 (edited) Pinch and a punch for the first day of the month. Upgrading via the AdminCP went through perfectly. No errors or issues on my end. Love your work Invision Community! 🎉 Edited October 31 by Gary SeNioR- and Matt 2
Mick23 Posted November 1 Posted November 1 I'm really digging this v5 stuff, dudes. Seriously though, it's going to transform my site in so many good ways I can't wait for the actual release. My determination to hold off for six months post release is fading quickly! Matt 1

It was a setting but not a folder permission. My Php version was set to 8.3. Once I set it back to 8.2, PixaBay images are now uploading. Whew! Marc 1
Management Matt Posted November 1 Author Management Posted November 1 Hmmm. 8.3 should be fine. I’ll take a look. dmaidon1 1
Cedric V Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Awesome. Great work all. How many beta's are still planned roughly?
