Can you add to plugin minimum and maximum tags allowed? Like here:

do you intend to add an "invisible tags" option?

This would make it possible to easily classify certain resources using invisible tags that other applications would easily find.

Like for example some widgets, impossible to put a link towards a resource to display a specific resource or it would take too long to decide what to display precisely.

We could then use an invisible tag for members on some resources in order to allow the widget and other applications using the tags to display the resource (s) we want.

You should be able to do this in the latest release! Do you not see the options present?

You can technically do this using the advanced tag editor by just leaving the HTML empty, or adding style="display:none;" to the tags HTML element. But this is an interesting idea, I'll see about implementing it officially to the standard customization wizard as well!

I created a custom tag, and then I changed the title from "Example" to "Example 2", pressed save and nothing happened, the name remains "Example".🙂

Another bug: @Makoto unless you're admin with "*" as permissions, you can't see the "customization" menu. When I change the toggle in the "administrator" panel, nothing happens.

A bug. When I activate the Application, I cannot change Tags. My Forum setting before activating the App looks like this:

When I activate Radical Tags and change anything on the Radical Tags tab, the tag section of the same subforum look like this:

I cannot switch off "Use default". I cannot add or change Tags at the Radical Tags tab:

I cannot enter something in the defined tags field, i cannot switch off the "Use default."

So after much internal debate, I ended up buying this mainly for the ability to choose certain forums to require tags without having to require tags site-wide. This feature doesn't appear to be working in the current version though. Is this a known issue? Any timeline on when this might be corrected?

I am currently using AT&P and I want to upgrade to Radical Tags. As discussed previously with you, it is better to install Radical Tags on 4.4. migrate and upgrade to 4.5 after that. All good, however, I cannot download the 4.4 compatible version now. 

Please advise how to proceed.

Currently, there is only an option to require prefixes, not tags. Are you needing to require users specify tags in general in specific forums? This is a feature I can look into adding!

Sorry for trouble! It looks like IPS only retains the last 5 versions uploaded to the marketplace, so that IPS 4.4 release has fallen off the list.

Hey @AlexJ,

Sorry I missed your questions!

When migrating from ATP to Radical Tags, those converted tags are registered as advanced prefixes, as the "basic prefixes" option is something only introduced in Radical Tags. In ATP, all customizations are done using manual HTML, so they have to be ported over that way.

If your prefixes just use basic color coding however, you can certainly convert them over to basic prefixes. You'll just need to delete and re-create the old ones in this case using the basic editor.

You won't lose any formatting on older tags or anything when doing this, so no need to worry about anything like that.

 

Regarding the tag/prefix not being an editable field, this is by design currently. If you want to create a prefix for another tag, you just need to create a new one instead of editing existing entries.

I have like 50 prefixes. So do you mean delete them manually and I wouldn't loose them at forum level and i just add it back in Radical tags? Any query i can run to convert them in all one shot?

It would depend how they were specifically written in ATP. If you'd like, I can have them manually converted to Basic Formatting by writing a regex filter for the tags and processing them for you that way. There would just be a one-time $60 fee for this service, as it's technically custom work.

You can edit everything but the tag name itself. I can see about changing this behavior in the next release so you can change the tag name as well, it's just not something that's often needed.

Yes. That is what your item description says the product can do.

You can set the minimum, but IPB doesn't honor those settings. It doesn't work. Unfortunately, this was the selling point for me.

Ah, yes, sorry. Setting the minimum number of tags required should be working. I'll look into this and see if I can reproduce the issue, and have a fix released soon.

I think you should make it clear when mentioning - that tags/prefixes can be imported from previous application i.e. XYZ wouldn't work, 100% I believe it should be part of core function so other folks who import doesn't face same issue. Charging 60$ over 40$ application so it will be easily editable within your application is just overpriced. If its available as well, I am 100% sure those who convert would be happy as well so it's not something, I am asking for something special. Just small enhancement to help all your customers and make their experience better with addon.

Sorry, not tag - prefixes as same issue. Consider simple example:

1. I created a prefix with spelling mistake. I need to fix it or change it. But now i need to delete the whole configuration and re-add and reconfigure it again. Sorry doesn't make any sense to me. 

2. Same goes for existing prefix. I need to rename it to make something better - why not make it editable so that site gets updated with correct one? Prefix/tag is stored somewhere in DB i am guessing and would be easier to update. 

Also, is their anyway, I can add prefixes to forum category? I.e. topic 1 to 50 in category X. Can i add prefixes to all the topics? Thank you.

I'll update this so that these fields are editable in the next release, thank you for your feedback.

You can use IPS' multi-moderarion tools to accomplish this. The application adds a new multi-moderarion option for setting tags and/or prefixes on multiple topics at once.

Just search for "saved actions" in the AdminCP to set these rules up.
