When I have a question, I don't do all this searching, I pull the trigger: I click the + icon and create a topic. So, here's what I have. Why aren't status updates showing up in the All Activity screen for Guests?!? They only show up for logged in users even when I've enabled Status Updates module access for Guests in ACP>System>Applications>System>Status Updates: I also enabled Guest module access for Content Discovery, Online Users, and Staff Directory to see if it would help, but it didn't. I want non-logged in members to see this in the All Activity stream:

I have been experiencing server load issues and users were complaining about it and was not able to find the cause till I got a disk warning today. I realised that a database called core_output_cache had reached 18GB of size ~80.000 rows ( where my all remaining tabled were only 2 GB in total ) Since the size was so big that I could not take a look into it but was aware the server and mysql was wasting too much process. Risking and thinking it contained cache data I dropped the table and support tool fixed it but still the records were coming very fast ( size had grown 30 MB in a minute and almost 100 rows were written ) Looking into it I saw some page cached we…

Hey there, Has anyone figured out how to have two domains (same root, different sub) point to different content on the IP.Board installation? For example: http://www.mysite.com -> Some specific page created by Pages http://forum.mysite.com -> All other pages. I've set the board URL to be http://forum.mysite.com, and pointed www to the correct place. The issue is that IP.Board will redirect any requests to a hostname that is not the board url to the board url. I was able to do this in v3 by modifying IPSRegistry.php to look the other way if the board url did not match the hostname. Does anyone have any experience doing this in v4? …

Hi everyone, I think I have a problem with the sitemap and the no index tag, as you can see from the attached photos (sorry but it's Italian), google serach console excludes many pages, and the sitemap does not send files, even if it is read correctly. For excluded pages google says that they are excluded from the noindex tag and some are redirected pages. I'm sure it's some friends url settings and rewrite the url, even if in admin cp it's all set up correctly. is this search console behavior correct? is it wanted? Thanks in advance

When I change the name to a forum it automatically redirects the old URL to the new one. It´s a 301 redirect but... Where those redirects are saved? It's a better idea redirect using .htaccess? Many Thanks.

I am wondering how you all take back up? I normally use rsync and separate full back up. But recently i was told by support staff that database back up time + file back up time should match. My database back ups are midnight back ups and since files don't change often, I do it weekly rsync. I am just wondering if someone has good solution so that database back up + file back up are in sync?

As one can see by the GTMetrix scores below, we're running poorly performing forums. Being a total novice, what's the best way to address the top 5 issues, which score a total F? We are using this htaccess file (un-altered): https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/7514-htaccess-for-ips-forums/4 I am guessing that these redirects might have to do with switching from http to https a while ago, however am not certain. Any assistance / guidance on how I can fix these issues is greatly appreciated. I've been searching for answers, however they deal address issues with Word Press pages.

Hi Guys, I'm still running 3.4.8 and I know it's no longer supported but I'm unable to access the AdminCP at all It's showing as Driver Error - There appears to be an error with the database. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to resolve seeing as I can't access the admin control panel to run anything in there anyway ? thanks in advance

I recently upgraded from 3.x to 4.29 and after doing the utf8 convert and allowing the script to rename tables, it still left me with a few dozen tables with either a _copy suffix or a orig_ prefix I am pretty sure I can safely drop all those tables manually but wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and if you also feel it's safe to drop these tables so they don't take up unnecessary storage space / memory many thanks!

We have a car business listing with 16 categories and based on our recent audit we realize couple of searched term hitting our content again and again. Sadly Google showing the single business listing than the bunch having 43+ businesses. We tried making a manual link to searched query, but still google prefer static url than /?&q=toyota&type=cms_records5&nodes=86&search_and_or=or We tried redirecting this, but its not working. Is there any way or app or plugin that can do the internal link creation based on our input? Example: If we have well written article on one of the famous places to visit: bla bla dune. I am not sure how many of you guys have recently been impacted with sudden traffic drop after latest google algorithm change. We have lost over 70% organic traffic and now settling between 30-40% loss after a while. Looking at GWT I got really surprise how google is not factoring so many URL's now. I understand the content value of profile, likes and comments url are pretty low but why so many second, third, fourth pages of actually valuable discussions are also not indexed....? Hi all, Load on my webserver skyrocketed after upgrading to 4.4.x. With 3.4.x load was always in the 13 range, and after the upgrade it jumped to 40. From my experience, this is either spiders/crawlers reindexing the whole site or spammers running bots to try to create new fake accounts. We've seen this in the past, and this huge spike was gone after a week or so. But it has been about 10 days now since we upgraded. What makes me more suspicious of this is that when we enable the "Under Attack Mode" at Cloudflare (we use them as our CDN), the load drops to the "normal" level of 10 that we used to see with the 3.4.x series. Hello Been a while since i've used this script. I just bought an application off the market place thats 2.1mb in size, when i try to upload it im given the error of 2mb or less, now in my php.ini my upload and post size are more than adequate to meet these needs however i cannot for the life of me find the setting in the acp to change this.

1 year ago I had a failed upgrade and I didnt restore it because the forum is workiing fine. I tried to move to invision cloud and they said that they will upgrade it, then found this problem. I have a dedicated server using Centos 7.6, Maria, WHM, cPanel and IPS v4.4.4 with domains being managed by CloudFlare. The server specs are Memory 32GB, E3-1240 V6 @ 3.7Ghz and 2 x 1TB (SSD).
