Hi guys, I have a once forum where I have a set list of tags for people to choose when appropriate. Now a couple of new tags were create and they were added to the end of the list which is bad. Is there a way to position a new tag like in here?

I think one of the best features that IPS has in terms of "putting community created content center stage" is the "Copy to database" feature found in threads: screenshot from recent blogpost What this does, is take the opening post and make it into an article in pages, and then you have a checkbox that if checked, will copy all the comments in the thread to comments in the article. basically "reversing" the "open thread" feature that we have when publishing an article. I'm really interested in anyone thoughts on how to use the current Calendar application in better ways so it becomes more fluid and dynamic. From a gaming perspective, meet ups and Looking For Groups (LFGs) are huge and i'm seeing people struggle with checking out the events I put up via the Calendar because it is gives a very robotic and slow feeling when it comes to things like the latest apps and integrations you can get with things such as Discord. I know there will be products that will do events better in different ways so i'm trying to find the angle that I can promote why we should use IPS Calendar events rather than splinter the community on a 3rd party app.…

Look how many tasks are stacking up trying to send emails to everyone subscribed to the topic. This is why I get comments that folks don't get registration emails. Server tasks are staked a mile long. Is there some way to do this better? Slow it down? or coalesce it or something? Maybe only shoot notifications 1 time per day per topic? Thank you in advance

Hey guys, I am trying to link to a specific section of the guidelines instead of members scrolling through them all etc. I have named the header of the section but when trying to add the link to the URL box shown here, the # bit disappears and it just ends up linking to the top of the guidelines page instead of halfway down it. Can this be done on the guidelines bit or do I need pages to make this work?

A couple of things. I am using custom made images for a advertisement. I created an image for Desktop and one for Mobile. I set them for each. I must say, being able to apply different size images for different device screen sizes is very nice, and it works perfectly. I grabbed the corner of my desktop window and started scaling it down, and the image changes to the mobile version just as it should. I'm having a policy warning from Google Adsense because a page is violating their policy. The report refers to this page: www.satellitefun.org/forum/index.php?action=login however, that is from my old SMF forum which does not exist anymore since I converted to Invision. So when visiting this page, it's automatically redirected to the same url, but the Invision forum is giving it's "page not found" notice: Errorcode: 1S160/2 I asked adsense for a review and they still say it's violating rules. Hi there, I've setup a private forum that members can post in and see their own topics, but not other users. Admins/staff can see everything in there. But I'm curious if there's a way to show like a pinned post in that forum. I've tried pinning a post and featuring it but no one can see it besides myself and other admins. Is this possible to do, and if so how would I go about this? Thank you!

Here's what I have been trying to do for months: Set up a product (a class, for example) with a monthly or quarterly payment plan that automatically invoices and charges the customer. This is not a subscription. It's a payment plan, so I don't want my customers charged after they have paid off their product. I have recurring payments set up with some of my products, but I have found no way to set an end-date, which effectively makes them subscriptions. Is there any chance that an end-date will become a feature? Does anyone know a workaround? I started to look at our pages – and I can't find how to limit the length of the page and then so that it automatically generates onto page 2, page 3, et cetera. Me again, I am getting my head around the ACP settings in IPS4.4. My groups go from guest (unregistered) into Restricted members (registered but not subscribed) I can make a group for called validating and would like all new registered users to go into this group until they validate their email, once this is done then they will be promoted to the registered members group. I don’t seem to be able to make this rule in the promotions or anywhere. Is it possible? I basically don’t want non validated members to be able to submit content for approval at all but can’t find the option for this.

Hi Invision Community. I was hoping is somebody could please explain the caching system in Invision? In the ACP it says... 1. For file system, is that were Invision saves a static HTML page to the disk and serves that to users? Why does Invision say MySQL is better when hitting a database is more intensive than hitting a static HTML file? 2. Also what is the difference between "Data Storage Method" and "Caching Method"?
